Abstract: An enclosable and stackable container comprising a tray and lid is provided with structural elements to permit rapid covering and uncovering of the tray, efficient stacking of containers, and safe transportation. At least one catching mechanism may be engaged quickly to securely cover the tray and its food contents and disengaged quickly to uncover the tray and its food contents, improving food hygiene practices. Foldable flange flaps enhance stacking strength to permit safe transportation of stacked containers and their food contents.

Abstract: A tray for holding at least one food product includes a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the tray, the plurality of panels including a bottom panel, a front panel, a back panel, and at least one side panel, and a plurality of end flaps including a plurality of top end flaps cooperating to form a rim extending from the plurality of panels, each top end flap of the plurality of top end flaps foldably connected to an adjacent top end flap of the plurality of top end flaps.

Abstract: A box with a lid having first and second opposed pairs of downwardly projecting legs which partially overlie the sides of the box to close the same. The length of the first pair of downwardly projecting legs is less than the length of the second pair of downwardly projecting legs. A generally horizontal ledge is formed in each side of the box with the ledges of two opposed sides of the box located at one level below the lid and those of the other opposed sides at a different level below the lid. In use, the first and second pairs of legs can either be supported on either one or the other pair of opposed ledges to vary the height of the lid above ground level. Also, the lid can be removed from the box to define a stool or support surface.

Abstract: A stackable storage tray that can be combined with an identical stackable storage tray to form an enclosed box. The stackable storage tray comprises a flat base, a rear wall, two side walls, and an open front. Each of the two side walls are complementary with the respective side walls of a second identical stackable storage tray, so that when one storage tray is flipped upside down the two trays form an enclosed box—the open front of the stationary tray receives the complementary rear wall of the flipped tray, the rear wall of the stationary tray fits in the complementary open front of the flipped tray, and the sides have side walls and open spaces that are complementary reverse mirror images of each other and fit together to form an enclosed box.

Abstract: A container preassembly which has an inner sleeve in a flat unopened position disposed within an outer sleeve in a flat unopened position. The two sleeves are adapted to form the two ends of the container and are secured together in the aligned relationship of the final open container, thereby allowing the preassembly to be opened into the form of the final container without requiring further adjustment. Once opened, the flaps for forming the container bottom are folded to create a container ready for use. A method of making the container preassembly is also provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to a set of blanks for making a packaging box (1), to such a box and to a method for making such a box. The set includes a first blank comprising at least four main flaps connected together by first folding lines for forming the walls of the base (3) of the box, and a second blank including three panels connected together by third folding lines and including flips connected to the panels by a fourth folding line for forming the lid (2) of said box. A tearable flap (30) is connected to a flap by a perforated junction line (31), two flaps and two non-adjacent trapezoidal panels for forming the side walls and the base of the lid, wherein the two blanks are arranged so as to enable a sufficient covering in order to glue the same onto each other at the opposite inner and outer edges of the flaps and trapezoidal panels when the perforated folding line and the fourth folding lines are aligned or substantially aligned.

Abstract: A package (10) comprising a tray component (20) and a hood component (30) containing a plurality of products (40). The tray component comprises a bottom panel (21) and at least two opposed outer side panels (22, 23). The hood component (30) is placed within the tray component (20), comprises a top panel (31) and at least two inner side panels (32, 33), wherein said two inner side panels placed respectively in face to face relation with said two outer side panels of said tray component. When no load is applied on the top panel, a gap (G) separates the products from the top panel, and when a load of 1.50 N/cm2 is applied uniformly on the top panel (31), the inner side panels (32, 33) bend inwardly towards the products (40), so that the inner side panels come in contact with the products without the top panel coming in contact with the products.

Abstract: Disclosed is a product package which includes a packaging sleeve and a product container. The packaging sleeve has a first end that defines an opening and a closed second end. The sleeve includes at least one pair of locking tabs projecting from the first end, each locking tab including a locking edge and each locking tab being folded inwards into the opening. The product container has a body portion for receiving the product and a rigid end cap which sealingly engages with the body portion so as to house the product. The end cap is dimensioned to fit closely within the opening of the sleeve and includes a peripheral rim that, when the end cap is inserted into the sleeve opening, engages the sleeve end and prevents the end cap from being inserted further into the opening.

Abstract: A clear package for storing a packaged product and providing an easy locking mechanism to seal and secure the product. The package of the present invention has a sleeve having foldable tabs at the top and bottom, and a top and bottom opening, and a slidable insert having indents at the top and bottom, the slidable insert being slidably inserted into the sleeve through the top or bottom opening, where the tabs align with the indents to provide a locking mechanism, and where the height of the sleeve is substantially the same as the height of the slidable insert.

Abstract: A carton and a blank for forming a carton including a tray portion with an open top and a cover connected to the tray portion to close the top of the tray portion. The tray portion has a pair of opposed end walls each having a hand aperture, and the cover has a pair of end flaps disposed internally of the end walls of the tray portion. Another aspect of the invention also covers a package including a carton referred to above and a collapsible carrier retained within the carton.

Abstract: A self-telescoping storage enclosure comprises a first tray that includes a bottom wall, and a major wall, a minor wall, a right wall, a left wall extending up from the bottom wall. The major wall and the minor wall each having an outer surface. The left wall and the right wall each have a notch. The outer surface of the major wall defines a first major outer width, and the outer surface of the minor wall defines a first minor outer width, the first major outer width being greater than the first minor outer width. The first tray can nest with a second tray substantially similar to the first tray that is inverted and oriented 180° relative to the first tray by the inter-engagement of their respective notches.

Abstract: A plastic cover for a produce container which when laid out is flat. The cover is collapsible and has a plurality of ventilators. Each ventilator has a ventilator flap and a corresponding ventilator aperture. The cover has a plurality of container binding members. Each container binding member has a container flap. Each container flap has a first small flap and a second small flap. Each container flap has a corresponding container receiving aperture. Each container binding member receives a portion of the container to assist in binding the cover to the container.

Abstract: A packing box includes a first member which receives items in such a manner that the items are exposed at the upper half thereof, and which is provided with first and second through holes at a predetermined side at positions close to each other, and a second member which covers the upper side of the first member, and which is provided with a cut portion at a position corresponding to the first and second through holes, the cut portion being insertable into the first and second through holes. The first and second members can be locked to each other by inserting the cut portion into the first and second through holes. When the second member is separated from the first member, the items stored in the first member are exposed at the upper half thereof, so that the items can be displayed without taking them out.

Abstract: A dry goods container has a container body, a top portion constructed of injection molded plastic, and a cap portion. The container body includes a container base and a container sidewall, the container base having a base perimeter, and the container sidewall extending upwardly from the base perimeter to form a top perimeter that defines a top opening of the container body. The container body is constructed of paperboard and sealed with a barrier layer. The top portion is adapted to engage the top perimeter and close the top opening of the container body. The top portion has a generally planar box top surface and an indented portion, the indented portion having a pouring aperture surrounded by a pour spout. The cap portion is shaped to removably engage the pour spout to seal the pouring aperture.

Abstract: A foldable container comprising a sheet of material having a plurality of panels hingedly connected together to permit folding thereof into a polygonal shape for storing liquid, solid or granular material. Male and female flaps are hingedly connected to the panels, and are foldable into an interlocked arrangement to form the container bottom. A lid can be provided having a lid panel and one or more lid flaps hingedly connected thereto. The lid flaps each have a lid opening and a handle portion, and the sheet has corresponding panel openings and handle portions. The lid flaps have locking tabs that can be extended through the aligned lid and panel openings to secure the lid in place.
