Abstract: A method of decrypting an encrypted message. The method comprises storing a wearer decryption code in a memory of a wearable mobile device having a head-worn augmented display which generates an augmented reality view for a wearer of the wearable mobile device, capturing using the wearable mobile device a video sequence including at least one frame imaging a visible code using an image sensor of the wearable mobile device, processing the video sequence to identify the visible code, decrypting the visible code using the wearer decryption code to create an decrypted content, and presenting the decrypted content on top of at least some of the visible code in the augmented reality view.

Abstract: A system for temporarily enabling an otherwise disabled payment account for use in a transaction is configured to perform operations including receiving, from a point of sale device, a transaction request associated with an account of a user, the transaction request comprising a transaction value representing a currency amount. The operations may also include determining that the user account has a disabled status. Further, the operations may include converting the transaction request into a personal identification code based at least in part on the transaction value. The operations may additionally include determining that the personal identification code matches a stored authorization code associated with the user account. And, the operations may include modifying the disabled status to permit successful processing of at least one subsequent transaction request associated with the user account.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods facilitate enrollment of authenticating biometric data for authenticating an authorized user via a biometric sensor. Included devices transmit power to a sensor-enabled device that does not have an independent power source without transmitting data to or from the device. Data input devices coupled to the biometric sensor enable user input of non-biometric data, such as an activation code, via the biometric sensor. For biometric sensors comprising fingerprint sensors, finger guides position a finger to contact the sensor at a desired orientation. Systems and methods allow for enrollment of one or more authenticating biometric data templates with or without requiring input of non-biometric authentication data, such as an activation code.

Abstract: A method for gait-based behavioral verification of user identity of a subject user of a computer system includes obtaining an enrollment signature corresponding to an identified user and serving as a unique identifier of the identified user, the enrollment signature including an enrollment determinate vector generated based on supplying enrollment gait data to a deep neural network for processing. The method further includes obtaining verification determinate vector(s), the verification determinate vector(s) for comparison to the enrollment signature to determine whether the subject user is the identified user.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor chip includes controlling a chip testing device to measure, for each bit of a plurality of bits in the semiconductor chip, mask dimensions for a feature to determine variations of the feature within each bit. Based on the variations a probability of each bit being “0” or “1” is generated to provide predicated probabilities. Based on the predicted probabilities, each bit of the plurality of bits is grouped and a subset of bits is selected to provide a subset of predicted results. The chip testing unit is controlled to measure whether each bit of the subset of bits is in a state is “0” or “1” to provide measured results. The subset of predicted results is compared with the measured results to provide a comparison. Based on the comparison, determination is made that the semiconductor chip has been fabricated using an altered mask.

The system receives aggregated results including: aggregated data from the first subset of records, in the first data format; and aggregated data from the second subset of records, in the second data format. Using the context-sensitive operation, the system converts data from the second data format to the first data format. A response to the request is based on the aggregated data from the first subset of records and the converted aggregated data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for preparing customer check deposit requests with a mobile device and a reflective surface are described. A check frame is positioned between a customer mobile device with a built-in camera and a mirror such that, when a check is placed in the check frame, the camera can view both sides of the check simultaneously. The camera can take a single picture that includes both sides of the check, process it, and submit it as a check deposit request to the customer's financial institution.

A method for encoding data for use in a digital payment transaction between a cardholder and a merchant includes generating, by a cardholder electronic device, dynamic magnetic stripe data associated with a digital payment card of a digital wallet application stored in a data storage module of the cardholder electronic device, retrieving merchant-related data stored in the data storage module of the cardholder electronic device, and encoding, by the cardholder electronic device, the generated dynamic magnetic stripe data and the retrieved merchant-related data in a machine-readable visual code for use in the digital payment transaction.

Abstract: A method and device for verifying the validity of an electronic document is provided. A device for capturing images and capturing a sequence of images displayed by a device for presenting the electronic document is activated. The sequence of images may include different two-dimensional barcodes displayed successively one after the other, where the two-dimensional barcodes represent a signature of the electronic document and parts of the electronic document. The two-dimensional barcodes are decoded, and the validity of the signature is verified by means of a public key. A message representing the result of the verification is generated.

Abstract: An apparatus, application, and method for transmitting, receiving and providing data. One exemplary embodiment includes an apparatus with a handheld printer. The handheld printer may contain a base, a core, and a crown. The crown may contain a scanner and a printer. A further embodiment allows for a mobile device application may contain the date of the markdown, the description of the inventory, and a status of the markdown. The method may include an employee receiving information through communication with the handheld device, connecting the application with the handheld printer, and scanning the marked down item. The method may include a new tag that may be printed from the handheld printer.

The human-machine interface is configured to show a first virtual keyboard comprising a plurality of first virtual buttons for a visually unimpaired to input a password thereon. Besides, the physical keyboard comprises a plurality of physical buttons formed with an embossed braille thereon. According to particular design of the present invention, a plurality of the second virtual buttons are showed on the human-machine interface, such that the plurality of physical buttons correspond to the plurality of second virtual buttons, respectively. Consequently, a blind user or a visually impaired is facilitated so as to be capable of completing a password input of the card reader unit through the physical keyboard.

Abstract: A system for converting physical coins into digital currency at a point of sale during a cash transaction at a retailer and related methods. A mobile app residing on a customer's mobile device communicates with a control module to manage the customer's account and obtain an identifier associated with the customer's account. During a cash transaction where physical change is due, the mobile device transmits the identifier to the point of sale. The point of sale transmits the identifier and the amount of change due to the control module. The control module confirms the identity of the customer using the identifier and directs a financial institution to move the amount of change due from the retailer's bank account to one or more designated bank accounts, one of which may be the customer's bank account.

Abstract: An anti-counterfeit method includes: obtaining raw data to be encoded; collecting fingerprint data by analogue acquisition to obtain initial fingerprint feature information and encrypting the initial fingerprint feature information to obtain a random feature secret key, the random feature secret key comprising a first sub secret key and a second sub secret key and the first sub secret key is encoded into a micro-texture image while the second sub secret key is embedded in an encryption program; encrypting, through the random feature secret key, the raw data to be encoded to generate an information code image, the information code image comprising the micro-texture image; passing an anti-counterfeit authentication when an image sensor succeeds in integrating the first sub secret key and the second sub secret key to generate the random feature secret key; and succeeding in decrypting, by the image sensor, the information code image through the random feature secret key.

The shopping profile may include a dataset indicative of the shopping habits of the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods include UAVs that serve to assist carrier personnel by reducing the physical demands of the transportation and delivery process. A UAV generally includes a UAV chassis including an upper portion, a plurality of propulsion members configured to provide lift to the UAV chassis, and a parcel carrier configured for being selectively coupled to and removed from the UAV chassis. UAV support mechanisms are utilized to load and unload parcel carriers to the UAV chassis, and the UAV lands on and takes off from the UAV support mechanism to deliver parcels to a serviceable point. The UAV includes computing entities that interface with different systems and computing entities to send and receive various types of information.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing checks using 2D barcodes are provided. A request from a user to process an electronic image of a check can be received. A statistical evaluation of the user can be generated based on prior requests to process electronic images of checks. Based on the statistical evaluation, an initial number of electronic images of the check to request can be determined. The electronic images can be received from the user, and a composite image of the check can be created based on the received electronic images.

Abstract: A multi-tired, modular, electronic system which utilizes restricted usage management. In a multi-tiered environment, lower tiered systems contain, based on configuration, mobile units that are capable of performing simple tasks such as lawnmowers, vacuum cleaners, mobile audio/video players to more complex ones capable of performing as human assistants such as robots. Higher tiered systems typically reside in the cloud. Lower tiered mobile units contain modular sensors such as temperature sensor and image/video cameras that generate vast amount of data. The lower tiered mobile units also contain modular emitters that consume vast amount of data. Restrictions for the usage of these mobile units are sent, in the form of metadata, to the lower tiered mobile units, from an intermediate to higher tiered control devices and the rendering app may limit the usage. The intermediate tiered renderer can interact to make sure rules have been followed.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for various ways to transmit a corrective pickup notification for a shipped item to a courier master node are described. For example, such a method generally has a master node at a first location receiving shipping information related to the item. The master node then parses the received shipping information to identify an intended delivery location related to the item. The method then has the master node automatically sensing an adverse delivery condition related to the item based upon the first location of the master node and the intended delivery location for the item.
