Changeable Authorization Patents (Class 235/382.5)
  • Patent number: 11113910
Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose an anti-passback method, apparatus and system. A plurality of access controllers are communicatively connected to a server. After detecting that a card reader has successfully read an identifier of an access card, an access controller sends the identifier of the access card, an identifier of the card reader, and its own identifier to the server. The server searches for the identifier of the card reader that read the access card last time, and the identifier of the access controller corresponding to the card reader, and determines a route for the door opening request. When the determined route exists in a preset list of routes, the sever sends a door opening instruction to the access controller. The route list may include routes between doors under the control of the plurality of access controllers.

  • Patent number: 11081009
Abstract: Novel techniques are described for usage tracking for shared dockless personal transport vehicles (PTVs) over one or more communications networks. Features encourage desired interactions between consumers and PTVs, such as by encouraging consumers to park the PTVs in a desirable condition and in desirable locations. For example, embodiments obtain location data from at least one sensor (e.g., a camera of a smart phone) indicating a parked location of a PTV of a fleet of shared PTVs. A set of parked location attributes is computed in accordance with the obtained location data, and an arbitration determination is computed indicating whether the set of parked location attributes meets a stored set of acceptance criteria. In accordance with a favorable computed arbitration determination, embodiments can output lock control data for a vehicle lock of the PTV (e.g., to lock the PTV in its parked location).

  • Patent number: 10810298
Abstract: In example embodiments, a first pattern of characters is displayed on a user interface of a user device. A user input is received and the first pattern of characters is replaced by a second pattern of characters. The user input is a selection of one of the characters from the pattern of characters. Each character is encrypted by a password selection rule (e.g., assign to a character selection the value of the character adjacent in a clockwise, counterclockwise, or diagonal direction from the selected character). After all user inputs are received determined from the password selection rule, an input password is generated. The generated input password is compared to a stored password designation to determine whether the input password matches the stored password designation. If the input password matches the stored password designation, the user is authorized to have access to the user device.

Abstract: A computer implemented system and method for generating and recovering an authorization code. The system creates an authorization code by accepting a base-sentence from a user. Based on the characters present in this base-sentence, the system computes a base-sentence matrix. The system also generates a plurality of patterns. The user can either select the pattern from the multiple patterns suggested by the system or can create his/her own pattern. The system then performs multiplications between the base-sentence matrix and the selected pattern matrix at different stages in the path forward, for obtaining a strong authorization code. In case the user forgets the base sentence, the system also has provisions to manage forgotten authorization code. This is done by fragmenting the base-sentence into different matrices and storing the fragmented matrices into a repository after computing matrix multiplication with a security question answer and with a secret key provided by the user.

  • Patent number: 9977547
Abstract: A smart home controller receives information from an electronic device with a two-dimensional capacitance sensing area. The received information is based on a predefined capacitance distribution detected for an object placed on or near the two-dimensional capacitance sensing area. In response to receiving the information from the electronic device with the two-dimensional capacitance sensing area, the smart home controller is at least conditionally configured, such that the smart home controller changes from operating in a first configuration to operating in a second configuration, distinct from the first configuration, based on the received information.

Abstract: An apparatus for receiving parcel through a door, the apparatus includes a processor communicatively connected to a network interface connection, a passcode entry station, an interior camera, a non-transitory storage medium. The non-transitory storage medium includes a receive module, an obtain module, an unlock module, an alarm module, and a lock module. The receive module receives, over the network interface connection, a number of access configuration parameters. The number of access configuration parameters comprising an access code and an access time. The obtain module obtains, from an access code input device, an input access code. The input access code indicates that a user has requested limited access to an area for parcel delivery according to the access configuration parameters. The unlock module unlocks a door to allow parcel delivery. The monitor module monitors that the parcel delivery person remains in the field of vision of the interior camera.

Abstract: Providing access to electronic information. A first password string associated with a user is received. A second password string associated with the user and a rule for configuring and generating a third password string from the second password string is retrieved from a database. The rule specifies a dynamic element to insert in the second password string based on first contextual information associated with the user. The value of the specified dynamic element is determined based on second contextual information associated with the user. Based on the rule, the third password string is configured and generated from the second password string. It is determined that the first password string matches the third password string. Access to the electronic information is granted.

  • Patent number: 9778643
Abstract: For machine procedure simulation, a method synchronizes a plurality of equipment procedures to a mobile device. The method receives a first equipment reference code for a first equipment instance at the mobile device. The method retrieves a first equipment procedure of the plurality of equipment procedures that is indexed to the first equipment reference code at the mobile device, the first equipment procedure including a machine simulation for the first equipment instance. The method receives a procedure step that includes a lockout decision indicating that the first equipment procedure requires a lockout of the first equipment instance. The procedure step is directed to the machine simulation. The method displays a simulated result for an operator simulation that shows a simulated operator interacting with the machine simulation in response to the procedure step lockout decision.

  • Patent number: 9705874
Abstract: Provided is a communication apparatus (121) that securely manages passwords for utilizing a server apparatus. A generator (203) generates a random table having the same number of rows and the same number of columns as a password table associated with a server name specified in an authentication request received by a receiver (202). An acceptor (205) accepts a key from a user to whom the random table is presented by a presenter (204). An identification unit (206) identifies, from the key and the random table, the user's of selection order of elements in the table. An acquirer (207) selects and arranges elements in the password table in the identified selection order, thereby acquiring a password. An output unit (208) displays the acquired password on a display or transmits the acquired password to the server apparatus, thereby allowing the user to utilize the server apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9625783
Abstract: An electrochromic device is structured to selectively heat one or more particular regions of a conductive layer of the electrochromic device. An electrical potential difference can be induced across the conductive layer to heat one or more layer regions. The conductive layer can be one of at least two conductive layers on opposite sides of an electrochromic film stack, and an electrical potential difference can be induced between the conductive layers to cause at least some of the electrochromic film stack to change transmission levels. The conductive layer can include regions with different sheet resistances, so that one or more regions are structured to generate more heat than other regions of the conductive layer when an electrical potential difference is induced across the conductive layer. Separate layer regions can include separate chemical species. The conductive layer can be geometrically structured so that some layer regions have a greater sheet resistance than other regions.
