Abstract: An augmented reality system enhances or augments the view of a real-world object by replacing different portions of the object with visualizations of non-visible data encoded for those different portions. The system may receive an image that captures visible properties of an object from a particular perspective. The system may select a model with data points that are generated from scanning the object and that encode visible and non-visible properties of the object. The system may align the model to match the object at the particular perspective, may map the non-visible properties from a set of the data points to an object part that is represented and aligned with the set of data points, and may present an augmented reality view in which the visible properties at the object part from the particular perspective are replaced with a visualization of the non-visible properties from the set of data points.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for extracting categorizable information from an image using a graph that models data within the image. Upon receiving an image, a data extraction system identifies characters in the image. The data extraction system then generates bounding boxes that enclose adjacent characters that are related to each other in the image. The data extraction system also creates connections between the bounding boxes based on locations of the bounding boxes. A graph is generated based on the bounding boxes and the connections such that the graph can accurately represent the data in the image. The graph is provided to a graph neural network that is configured to analyze the graph and produce an output. The data extraction system may categorize the data in the image based on the output.

Abstract: A method is provided to determine unique identifiers. A physical item has an RFID integrated circuit (IC) having a unique identifier and a secret. The RFID IC may be configured to provide an identifier portion and a response to a previously sent challenge, where the identifier portion by itself is insufficient to completely identify the IC or item and the response is based on the challenge and the secret. Attempts are made to verify the response using a set of potential secrets determined using the identifier portion. If the response is successfully verified using a certain secret, the secret may then be used to determine one or more other identifier portions. The unique, complete identifier may then be determined from a combination of at least the identifier portions.

Abstract: Checks provided to payees by payers can be subject to evaluation. Evaluation includes assessing check validity, for instance by comparing data extracted from a check with data supplied by a financial institution. Evaluation can further comprise determining check clearance probability in view of financial and other credit features of a payer. Results of a validity assessment and a clearance probability computation can provide a basis for generation and communication of recommended action including whether or not to accept a check.

Abstract: A system and method for prominently propagating advertisements and messages from a garment. The system and method provide a washable fabric section that contains a waterproof Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, and a logo label. The NFC tag and the logo label are disposed adjacent to each other, and separated by a fold line for easy visible delineation. The washable fabric section is integrated, possibly through sewing, into the washable fabric section. The washable fabric section, with the NFC tag and the logo is disposed at a prominently visible location on the garment, so as to enable widespread distribution of the advertisement or message through NFC technology. An NFC reader scans the NFC tag to read the data contained therein, which may include a web site, a social media platform, advertisements, and messages.

In particular, a system may receive a point cloud with data points that are defined by positional and non-positional elements. The system may associate primitives to each data point based on a material or a property associated with the surface, feature, or article at a position in an imaged three-dimensional (“3D”) environment that corresponds to a particular position of the data point in the point cloud. The system may receive input for a first adjustment to at least one of the data point elements, and may edit point cloud by defining a second adjustment that modifies the first adjustment according to a rule of a particular primitive, and by applying the second adjustment to the at least one element of a first set of data points that are associated with the particular primitive.

The second step is for the electronic device to send the auto-populated message to a message gateway thus initiating the verification of the user. Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for initiating a device security setting on detection of conditions indicating a fraudulent capture of a machine-readable code. A service provider, such as an electronic transaction processor for digital transactions, may provide in-person or device-to-device data transfers through machine-readable codes, such as to effectuate a payment from one mobile device to another. However, unauthorized devices may be in close enough proximity to also capture the code and impermissibly use the code. Thus, device security settings are used to detect whether fraud may occur in certain settings and implement an operation to hide a valid code. This may include operations to obtain information for the unauthorized device, make the code dynamic, or mask the code in a display. Once a nearby valid scanner is detected, such as through emitted light or sound, the valid code may be displayed.
