Abstract: A buckle is provided for securing the ends of a web, strap, belt, or the like. A pair of substantially parallel side walls of the buckle are joined by opposite end portions. Each end portion includes an inclining interior surface forming an acute angle with a plane defined by the upper surfaces of the buckle. A pair of parallel cross bars are located between the end portions of the buckle and are connected to each side wall. The cross bars may be substantially oval shaped.

Abstract: A one-piece plastics moulding includes a pair of flaps 12a, 12b connected by a hinge 14. Both of the flaps 12a, 12b are slotted so that, when they are folded about the hinge 14 to their closed position, a pair of parallel bars 22, 24 is presented for use in adjustably securing a strap 20. Both of the flaps 12a, 12b have spikes 54, 56 for use in trapping a web-like workpiece 48. Any parts of the buckle 10 which touch, such as free ends of the spikes 56 located in complementary apertures 52, can be fixed together by ultrasonic welding, heat sealing or adhesive.

Abstract: A belt retainer for securing the belt of a disposable sterile operating room gown comprises a generally rectangular strip of semi-rigid deformable material having a continuous belt retaining and locking cutout slot therein. The cutout slot defines a central upwardly extending tab, a narrow downwardly extending tab extension connected to the central tab adjacent one side edge of the central tab, and a side downwardly extending tab positioned adjacent the opposite side edge of the central tab.

Abstract: This device for locking and adjusting a strap comprises a case fixed to a suspension member such as a hook, ring, clevis or shackle, the sides of said case having therethrough two and preferably three series of facing holes and whose face projecting from the plane of the suspension member is folded back at its base towards its other face so as to form a slit having a length equal to the width of the strap whose active strand penetrates into the case through said slit in the plane of the suspension element before being wound around two parallel removable shafts engaged in the case through the lower lateral holes, possibly after passing over a removable pin housed parallel above said shafts and engaged in the case through the upper lateral holes, so as to be able to adjust the length of the strap by pulling on the return strand or on both strands if the pin to be withdrawn for locking is present.

Abstract: Process for assembling a slider to the fabric of an article of clothing or outfit thereof.A slider is used as made of thermoplastic material, having a portion defining at least one passage and slide slot for a ribbon and a fabric anchoring portion; the fabric is contacted with the slider anchoring zone, then ultrasonic vibrations are generated to provide partial melting for the thermoplastic material of the corresponding slider portion, at the same time applying a pressure to the fabric for causing the diffusion of the molten thermoplastic material through the fabric loops.

Abstract: A belt holding device formed integrally from a continuous and planar blank material and comprising a peripheral frame portion and at least three projections or tongued portions respectively extending from the peripheral frame portion toward generally a center of a central area defined by the peripheral frame portion, and leaving an opening in generally a center of the central area through which a strip of belt can be threaded in position.

Abstract: A strap buckle comprises a generally planar housing in which at least three bars extend in parallel relationship between opposite side walls for the retention of a strap end. A first strap passage extends substantially parallel to the plane of the housing and is defined, at one side by at least one of the bars, while the other side of the passage is defined by two further ones of said bars having a second strap passage therebetween.The strap end can pass through the first strap passage, around one of the two further bars, inwardly through the second strap passage, and out through a portion of the first strap passage, between the incoming part of the strap and the other of the two further bars.

Abstract: A strap fastener and method for securing a strap to the fastener for forming a tight loop for strapping an object. The fastener is a one-piece, generally rectangularly shaped body having either a single slot or a pair of slots providing a pair of opposed inside edges, an intermediate slot, and an end slot with all slots being sized to receive flexible strap.

Abstract: A plastic buckle adapted to adjustably secure extremities of a web-like material including a frame-like body portion, fastening means at one end of said body portion for fixedly securing the buckle to one extremity of said web-like material and means for adjusting the opposite extremity of said web-like material including at least two transverse parallel bars positioned adjacent the opposite end of said body portion. Said adjusting means including two transverse parallel bars providing edges spaced from one another on opposite sides of a plane a distance not greater than the predetermined thickness of the web and lying in spaced planes perpendicular to said first mentioned plane.

Abstract: A buckle for fastening a tape around a package, comprising in combination a rectangular frame portion with four sides defining a plane, a flat leg portion also defining a plane and a flexible connecting portion connected to said leg portion and to one of said sides forming a rectangular space, said leg portion being folded at said connecting portion so as to be inserted in said space and supported by said leg portion so that the planes of both said frame portion and leg portion may be substantially flush with each other, whereby a fastening band can be pressed and fastened between said leg portion and said frame portion when it is wrapped around said leg portion and inserted in said space.

Abstract: A buckle for securing plastic strapping around an object. A pair of independently movable fingers are hingedly mounted by flexible plastic strips in spaced relationship on a rectangular base. The base has spaced pairs of integral side and end members which form a rectangular aperature therebetween. The fingers are adapted to be folded into superimposed, overlapped position along the side frame members. A post is formed on each of the end members at the midpoints thereof. The posts lie between the spaced ends of the fingers and in close proximity thereto when the fingers are in folded position. The fingers extend through loops formed in the ends of the strapping material with the finger ends being drawn inwardly against the posts upon tensioning of the strap. The posts absorb much of the tensioning force exerted on the fingers and distribute the remaining force equally on the fingers, thereby reducing twisting and breaking of the fingers during installation.
