Abstract: A shoelace locking structure used in a shoe for locking two opposite ends of a shoelace is disclosed to include a locating plate affixed to a tongue of the shoe, two locating rods arranged on the locating plate for the winding of the ends of the shoelace respectively, and two strips of hook and loop materials located on the shoe at two opposite lateral sides relative to the locating plate for securing the ends of the shoelace.

Abstract: A fastening assembly and a cushion having the same are disclosed. The fastening assembly includes a first band, a second band, and a third band. The first band has a first surface protrudingly provided with a plurality of hooks, and a second surface provided with a magnetic layer. The second band is made of a sponge material and is provided lengthwise with a central concave portion and bilaterally with sidewalls. The first band is placed on the central concave portion. The depth of the central concave portion is greater than the thickness of the first band plus the hooks. The third band is bonded to a bottom surface of the second band with another magnetic layer disposed between the second band and the third band.

Abstract: To ensure an excellent slip-proof effect for a hygiene item, in particular for a baby diaper or an incontinence diaper when opening the diaper, a fastening tape is proposed having a separate film-like grip area with a macroscopically structured surface. Likewise, a hygiene item having such a grip area and a method for manufacturing such a fastening tape are proposed.

Abstract: An adjustable, elastic strap that can be fastened to a golf bag on one end and pinned to a golf club head cover or a hook and loop type pad on the other end utilized to eliminate lost head covers and golf gloves caused by misplacing or forgetting the covers or gloves after use.

Abstract: A method of making a mechanical fastening strip and a reticulated mechanical fastening strip are disclosed. The method includes providing a backing having upstanding posts; providing interrupted slits through the backing, the interrupted slits being interrupted by at least one intact bridging region; spreading the slit backing to provide multiple strands separated from each other between at least some of the bridging regions to provide at least one opening; and fixing the multiple strands of the backing in a spread configuration. The reticulated mechanical fastening strip includes multiple strands of a backing attached to each other at bridging regions in the backing and separated from each other between the bridging regions to provide openings. Upstanding posts on each of the multiple strands have bases attached to the backing, and each of the multiple strands has a width that is greater than that of the bases of its attached upstanding posts.

Abstract: A sports bib, in particular for cycling, having a pair of shorts, which can have either short or long legs, extending into a vest, which ends with a pair of straps. The bib is equipped with a zipper at the housing position of the anus and the genital organs. The zipper is provided with characteristics such as to not produce scrapes or rubbing at the genital areas and crotch on the user during movements and in particular while pedalling.

Abstract: The cord protective apparatus includes a protective, flexible, slip-resistant sheath wrap for use with a cord or hose. Binding straps have opposite end portions each having corresponding hook and loop fastener portions, thereby allowing the sheath to wrap securely around the circumference of a hose for protecting said hose from incidental and accidental nicks and other damage that may occur when said hose is placed through a doorway or other high traffic areas. The apparatus further includes a hook to fasten the wrapped hose to a secure mounting structure and conveniently and tidily store said cord/hose in an appropriate place.

Abstract: An improved encasement for a mattress which thwarts the escapement of bed bugs from a mattress through the encasement and which thwarts the encroachment of beg bugs through the encasement into the mattress. An elongated opening is provided in the encasement which is selectively closed by a zipper associated therewith. The encasement includes a flap secured to the lower side wall portion of a side of the encasement which is positioned inwardly of the zipper for retarding or preventing the escapement of bed bugs through the zipper. Hook and loop fasteners are also provided at the end location for further preventing the escapement of bed bugs from the mattress through the encasement and preventing the encroachment of beg bugs into the mattress through the encasement.

The first closure member coupled to the first panel at about an entrance of the utility bag. The first closure member includes a pair of parallel bulbous elements which form a longitudinal channel parallel to the entrance of the utility bag. A second closure member includes a third bulbous element having an interfacing surface complementary with an interfacing surface of the longitudinal channel to form an overlapping closure arrangement. Counterpart strips of hook/loop fasteners coupled to complementary interfacing surfaces associated with the first and second closure members are used to maintain the utility bag in a closed state. The bulbous elements may be formed from deformable materials disposed in sleeves which surround the entrance to the utility bag.

Abstract: A reusable hose bundling sleeve is provided that is made of a tightly-woven nylon material coated with urethane. Strips of hooks and loops are adhered and stitched to opposite ends of opposite sides of the sleeve. The reusable hose is installed by wrapping the sleeve around the hoses or cables to be protected such that the strips of hooks and loops align and engage. Notches can be cut along the length of the reusable hose bundling sleeve to allow for shorter hoses or cables traveling within the sleeve to exit. Because of the materials used, the notches will not weaken the fibers and cause fraying. The reusable hose bundling sleeve is removed by separating the strips of hooks and loops and unwrapping the sleeve. The reusable hose bundling sleeve can be installed, removed, and reinstalled quickly and without diminishing the durability of the sleeve. Alternatively, the sleeve may be adapted to be secured and/or hanged.

The tape-shaped engaging member is easily set to a mold, has good in-plane flexibility and deforms in good conformity with three-dimensionally curved surfaces.

The fastening member comprises a base panel and a shaped tab extending laterally from the base panel. The shaped tab has a longitudinal centerline, a lateral centerline, a distal portion and a proximal portion. The shaped tab has a contour edge comprising a shaped upper edge and a shaped lower edge. The shaped upper edge and the shaped lower edge are symmetric with respect to the longitudinal centerline of the shaped tab when relatively shifted in the longitudinal direction and are asymmetric with respect to the lateral centerline of the fastening member.

Abstract: A wire fastening band is made by a soft material and can be sheathed on a wire by using a commissure formed on a sleeve. The sleeve is extended with a wrapping member to fix and fasten the collected wire. The sleeve on the wire is also formed with a first fastening member, a second fastening member, and a first corresponding fastening member. The first fastening member is fastened with the first corresponding fastening member to fix the sheathed wire, and then the second fastening member is fastened with a second corresponding fastening member on the wrapping member to quickly and conveniently fix and fasten the collected wire.

Abstract: A device for securing shoelaces without needing to tie the shoelaces is disclosed. One embodiment of the device comprises a pair of small, planar fastener disks with an aperture cutout in each disk. Aglets at each end of a shoelace are inserted through fastener-disk apertures and the fasteners are slid down to a desired point or tension on the shoelace, next to one of the article of footwear's eyelets. Because the fastener disks develop a frictional grip on the shoelace, tension in the shoelace is substantially maintained. Importantly, the device can be used to simultaneously secure and article of footwear on a wearer's foot while providing a false impression that the article of footwear is untied and unsecured, a feature desired by the skateboarding community. Additionally, one or more such devices can be used to ornament an article of footwear on the exterior sides of footwear eyelets.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides embodiments of a releasable fastening arrangement that can include a first fastening strip secured to and extending over a substrate surface and having a first surface carrying first fastening elements extending from the surface. The releasable fastening arrangement can also include a second fastening strip having a second surface carrying second fastening elements that are engageable by the first fastening elements to form a releasable fastening. The first surface can include a flexible flap that is formed therein, and that is surrounded by other portions of the first surface. The flap can carry at least one of the first fastening elements, and can flap have a distal edge that is displaceable from the substrate surface under peel loads applied to the at least one first fastening element carried by the flap.

Abstract: Systems and methods are operable to secure a coiled portion of an electrical cord, a cable, or a rope. An exemplary embodiment has a coil securing portion with an interior surface, a collapsing portion joined with the coil securing portion, and a means for securing the coil retainer in a collapsed position. The coil securing portion and the collapsing portion cooperatively define a substantially tubular interior region and an opening, wherein the interior region is configured to receive a coil portion inserted through the opening when the coil retainer is in an open position. The coiled portion is frictionally secured by the interior surface of the coil securing portion when the coil retainer is secured in the collapsed position.

Abstract: A cord management system includes a case and a strap. The strap has a first attachment point at a first location on the strap and a second attachment point a second location on the strap. The strap also includes at least two modes of operation. In a first mode of operation, the first attachment point is attached to the second attachment point so that a first segment of the strap located between the first attachment point and the second attachment point forms a loop configured to secure a cord that is wrapped around the case. In a second mode of operation, the first attachment point is detached from the second attachment point so that the first segment no longer forms the loop. In some embodiments, the strap is permanently attached to the case, while in other embodiments the strap is semi-permanently attached to the case.

Abstract: A cord management system includes a strap. The strap has a first set of magnets attached to a first location on the strap and a second set of magnets attached to a second location on the strap. The strap also includes at least two modes of operation. In a first mode of operation, the first set of magnets is magnetically attached to the second set of magnets so that a first segment of the strap located between the first set of magnets and the second set of magnets forms a loop configured to secure a cord that is wrapped around the strap. In a second mode of operation, the first set of magnets is magnetically detached from the second set of magnets so that the first segment no longer forms the loop. The strap is also configured to be coupled to an object.

Abstract: A method of making a composite support structure and sander includes the steps of providing a rigid plate adjacent a mold such that a polyfoam layer can be formed to a front surface thereof which includes a wall defining a contained surface, the plate having a back surface for connection to a handle and introducing into the mold fluid components which react to form a polyfoam which is reaction bonded to the front surface of the rigid plate such that a back surface of the polyfoam layer forms within the contained surface and about the wall in a complementary manner thereto and a front surface of the polyfoam layer extends outward from the front surface of the rigid plate and is formed to have a relatively planar surface thereby rendering the composite support structure for removably connecting sandpaper to the relatively planar surface of the polyfoam layer.

Abstract: One aspect of the present invention provides a fastening strap assembly for used in a foam article. The fastening strap assembly includes a substrate having two sidewalls each formed along one side thereof in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart from each other; a substantially fishbone-shaped fastening member disposed between the sidewalls and adhered to the substrate, the fastening member having an elongate central rib and a plurality of fastening parts laterally extending from either sides of the rib and longitudinally spaced apart from each other, each fastening part having a plurality of hooks formed on a upper surface thereof; and a magnetic layer disposed between the substrate and the fastening member. The fastening strap assembly of the present invention has a unique sideway bending/curving function. Another aspect of the present invention provides a foam article, such as a seat cushion, including the sideway-bendable fastening strap assembly.

Abstract: A fastening member that is capable of attachment to a molded article is disclosed. The fastening member may include at least one fastener element extending from a base and an anchor layer attached to the base. The anchor layer may be coated with a magnetically attractable coating. The magnetically attractable coating may be substantially continuous on select portions of the anchor layer and discontinuous on other select portions of the anchor layer.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a hook and loop tie for securing a bundle of cables. The hook and loop tie comprises a loop component, a non-slip component, and a hook component. The loop component has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The non-slip component is affixed to the loop component and extends from the first end of the loop component toward the second end of the loop component. The hook component is affixed to the loop component, extends from the second end of the loop component toward the first end of the loop component, and overlaps at least a portion of the non-slip component.

Abstract: An object securing apparatus utilizing a hook and loop material attached to one of two faces of a binder clip and projecting downward there from. The hook and loop material can be single or double sided. A magnetic material can be disposed upon the hook and loop material. The hook and loop material can be cut forming a clearance for rotation of a cantilevered handle of the binder clip. The hook and loop material secures the binder clip to a first object and a binder clip gripping section is used to grip a second object.

The spacer/riser is adapted to be held in place on an external substrate with hot-melt glue, sonic welds, pressure-sensitive adhesives, acrylic foam tape, or screws.

Abstract: A holder for securing a glove or other article to a bag, hook or other item is provided. The holder comprises a ring, a snap hook type fastener attached to the ring in swivel fashion, and a rigid or semi-rigid tag suspended from the ring by a strap. In one embodiment the tag comprises two members or halves hingedly connected to each other in clamshell fashion so that the two members can be folded together held together via hook and loop type fasteners. The glove may be secured to the holder a via hook and loop type fastening surface located on the glove. The holder can also secure an article not having a hook or loop type fastening surface by draping the article over the hinge.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for bundling or securing cording such as common electrical lines extending from various tools such as hand tools or the like. The apparatus includes a base member with a C-shaped clip member attached thereto. A strap is secured to the base member and extends outwardly through a loop to form a cording securement zone to allow cording to extend axially therethrough. The main strap can extend again toward the base member through a cinching slot defined in the C-shaped clip member and is detachably securable with respect to the base to hold the strap in position extending through the cinching slot to bundle the cording extending through the cording securement zone.

Abstract: A connector featuring a conductive cap and conductive peg to be attached to any digit covering apparatus, such as a glove. The connector comprises a cap and peg made of a conductive material. The peg is placed on a user's digit and the at least one post mechanism is extended through the digit covering. The cap and peg are engaged by at least one post mechanism extending from the peg. The at least one post mechanism is received by at least one aperture on the cap. The connector also features a post mechanism on a back side of the connector. The post mechanism has a pin, pin head and pin holder that attaches the connector to the glove. Users do not have to remove their digit covering apparatus to interact with a touch screen device. The conductive connector affords the user the ability to input onto a touch-screen without removal of their digit covering apparatus, such as a glove.

Abstract: A fastener tab including a fastening-tape-segment, a hook-tape-segment, a release-tape-segment, and an antipeel-tape-segment, with the release-tape-segment and the antipeel-tape-segment being formed from a single tape. The antipeel-tape-segment is configured to prevent a susceptible leading edge of an anchoring zone of the release-tape-segment from being subjected to peel-initiating forces during deployment of the fastener tab. An adhesive area can be included to releasably bond a fastening deployment zone and the release anchoring zone together to minimize pre-deployment flagging.

Abstract: An improved hook and loop fastener system enables fastening to each other of two objects each provided solely with respective pluralities of flexible loops via an intermediate connection element that has two faces each provided solely with flexible hooks and is sandwiched between the two objects. The intermediate connection element can be easily removed and washed separately as needed, for example when either or both of the objects are to be washed with other fibrous objects, to eliminate the likelihood of the hooks inadvertently engaging with and ripping off any ambient fibers that could then clog the hooks and diminish their future performance. Selective retention of the intermediate connection element in engagement with only one of the two objects leaves the other object free of hooks and thus safely contactable by ambient objects that contain frangible fibers.

Abstract: A reusable bundling device for wrapping and securing bundles of cable, rope, hose, electrical cords and other elongated members. The bundling device includes a flexible strap having one surface covered with hook members and an opposed second surface covered with a plurality of loop members. The hook members are releasably engagable with the loop members to encircle and retain the bundle. The first end of the flexible strap is removably attachable to a portion of the cord. Further, the bundling device is color coded to facilitate the identification of useful information pertaining to the cord and to rematch the strap once removed from the cord.

Abstract: An attachment or clip system is provided for easy, rapid attachment (and detachment) of skirts to covered tables, usually for seating multiple guests at banquets, presentations, luncheon meetings and the like. The system generally includes a low-profile host or carrier frame and one or more embedded magnets. The frame and magnets may be wrapped or covered in “hook”-type hook & loop material, which is complementary to “soft”-type hook & loop material found on the skirt. Methods of making and using the clip system are also provided.

In another embodiment, a slide fastener is attached by connection means to a band, which is connected to an outer perimeter of a frame and inner perimeter of a panel.

Abstract: A screen protector assembly for use with a flat panel display having a display panel located on a front surface thereof. The screen protector assembly comprises a transparent screen panel having a pair of slots formed therein adjacent a top edge of the screen panel and a pair of c-shaped hanger clamps for detachably securing the screen panel to the flat panel display. Each clamp hanger comprises a top portion for engaging a top surface of the flat panel display, an arm extending downwardly from the top portion, and a tail portion end for providing a clamping force between the screen panel and the back surface of the front panel display. The arm has a tab protruding rearwardly from the arm with an upwardly extending hook forming a neck for supporting a top surface of the slot. The tab is shaped to fit within the slot of the screen panel such that a top surface of the slot rests on the neck and hangs thereform.

Abstract: The invention relates to an elastic tie down device with flexible, fabric hook and loop fastener panels that reduce or eliminate the safety and other risks associated with tie down devices that include rigid structural elements such as hooks, locks, clamps, and the like. Such a device would prevent damage or marring of the surface to which the tie-down device is being secured. The tie-down device would be suitable with a wide range of connection points so as to be operable with larger anchor points or oddly shaped anchor points that are not operable with traditional tie down hooks. The improved device might also allow for the selective attachment of a traditional, rigid hook.

Abstract: A holder or organizer has first and second strips releasably fastened together by coupling material such as by hook and loop material. The strips each have two ends, namely a bonding end and a free end. The two bonding ends are coupled together. The first strip has an adhesive on its outside. The second strip has a selvedge area adjacent an edge, which selvedge area lacks releasable coupling material. The selvedge area will not fasten to the first strip. A user can easily grip the selvedge area of the second strip and peel the second strip off of the first strip. A tongue extends in the direction of the bonding ends of the strips and works in conjunction with a non-tongue area of the upper strip to more securely hold an object in the holder.

The securing means on the second opposing side of the male member is configured to mate with a corresponding securing member mounted on an object. By securing a material such as a shade screen or a tarp on the male member by mating the male member with the female member, the shade screen or tarp may be detachably fastened onto an object.

The clip mechanism is a combination of a hard grip capable of gripping a rigid or semi-rigid material and a soft grip which can simultaneously accommodate multiple rigid objects of various sizes. Abstract: A pacifier holder with a clamping device, a pacifier, a pacifier holding ring, a flexible wire form, a wire form to pacifier connector member and a polyfoam tube covering the wire form. The wire form terminates at each end in a threaded portion. One threaded portion engages with female threads in the connector member. The other the threaded portion engages the clamping device. The connector member has a male thread that can engage a mating female thread portion located on the rear of the pacifier holder ring. The pacifier holder ring includes a circular base plate and a side perimeter ring, and the side perimeter ring which can removably retain the pacifier. A preferred embodiment includes a clamping device that has slidably connected top and bottom plates and a screw down plate that locks the pacifier holder onto the frame of a chair or bed.
