Abstract: A fabric attaching clip (10) consisting of a garter grip button end (20) attached to a loop tape strap (24) positioned on an outer surface of a fabric (26). A garter grip wireform (22) is attached to a hook and loop tape strap (30) that is positioned on an inner surface of the fabric, aligning with the garter grip button end (20) and tightly engaged with the fabric drawn compressably between. The fabric attaching clip (10) permits fabric, to be swagged by gathering the fabric with the loop tape strap, which has the end threaded into the wireform and by pulling the extending end for adjustment. The loop tape strap (24) is joined to the hook and loop tape strap (30) for closure therebetween. A theme decoration (38) having a hook tape segment (40) is attached on a front surface of the loop tape strap (30), providing both a decorative effect to a table and covering the clip (10).

  • Patent number: 7197772
Abstract: An article with a flexible substrate has a pocket or vent opening with a resealable closure such as a zipper, snaps, or hook and loop fasteners, which is operable between a closed position, in which the opening in the substrate is closed, and an open position, in which the opening in the substrate is revealed. A resilient spring member of springy plastic, composite, metal or other material is mounted to the substrate around the opening, and has two arms which have portions which are displaced vertically from one another when the closure is open, but which are resiliently compressed into a common plane when the closure is sealed. Each time the closure is opened, the spring member urges portions of the shell on either side of the flap apart, to thereby enlarge the area of the opening and permit access or air flow therethrough.

  • Patent number: 7162780
Abstract: A skin-friendly hook component of a hook and loop fastener that reduces or eliminates the occurrence of red-marking and/or irritation if brought into contact with a wearer's skin. In one embodiment, the hook component can have a relatively large top surface area among the hooks with respect to a surface area of the hook backing. In another embodiment, the hook backing is highly flexible, attributable to a flexible resin and/or modified topography. In yet another embodiment, a highly flexible polymer, or polymers, can be used to make individual hooks such that the hooks bend in response to a minimum amount of pressure. Various illustrated hook tapes have features along their edges to enhance skin-friendliness. A skin-friendly hook component results any combination of the disclosed embodiments. The hook component is particularly beneficial when used in absorbent articles.

Abstract: An electrode holder is adapted for cooperating with a strap applied to a body part of a patient to hold a surface electrode to the skin. The electrode holder includes a base and a post projecting from the base. The post is adapted for extending through the strap and into a cavity formed with the electrode. The electrode holder is releasably attached to the strap by mating hook and loop fasteners. Once attached, the post of the holder secures the electrode in position thereby reducing motion artifacts caused by disturbance of the electrode after placement against the skin of the patient.

Strap is of minimally stretching material and employs cam buckle with preferably a short secondary strap with hook-and-loop material as back up security measure. On opposite end of strap from buckle, a metal tab keeps strap end clean and from fraying. A single-end snap clip anchors strap to court. A primary measuring mark is located on strap near tab, which is aligned with slot in cam buckle to ensure strap is fastened at correct length. With cam buckle closed, strap is rotated until secondary mark on strap 36 inches from end of metal tab aligns with top of net, with tab just touching court surface. A third security measure is preferably employed in which now aligned areas on both sides of installed strap are fastened together through net.
