Abstract: One aspect of the present invention provides a fastening strap assembly for used in a foam article. The fastening strap assembly includes a substrate having two sidewalls each formed along one side thereof in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart from each other; a substantially fishbone-shaped fastening member disposed between the sidewalls and adhered to the substrate, the fastening member having an elongate central rib and a plurality of fastening parts laterally extending from either sides of the rib and longitudinally spaced apart from each other, each fastening part having a plurality of hooks formed on a upper surface thereof; and a magnetic layer disposed between the substrate and the fastening member. The fastening strap assembly of the present invention has a unique sideway bending/curving function. Another aspect of the present invention provides a foam article, such as a seat cushion, including the sideway-bendable fastening strap assembly.

Abstract: A mounting system includes a first and second mounting part having a first and second base part with a first and second plurality of first and second locking means respectively, for mounting two components to each other. Each of the locking means is attached to the respective base part and is provided with an attachment part extending from the base part, and a distal part provided as a head portion with at least one engaging section protruding sidewards over the attachment part. The locking means are laterally displaceable in relation to the base part to allow sidewards displacement of the engaging sections for engagement and disengagement of the locking means and thus the first and the second base. In the engaged state, latching means are provided blocking the sidewards displacement of the engaging sections to an extent that a disengagement of the locking means is prevented.

A bottom loop is spaced from the first base material such that at least a portion of the stiffening member resides between the bottom loop and the first base material when the fastener system is in the fastened state. A top loop being spaced from the bottom loop such that a portion of the second base material resides between the top and bottom loops when the system is in the fastened state, wherein at least one of the top and bottom loops is fastened to the first base material.

Abstract: A wearable item, such as a shoe, is disclosed including a first item portion of the wearable item and a second item portion of the wearable item for securing to the first item portion. A hook patch having a plurality of hooks is secured to the first item portion and a receiver portion is secured to the second item portion and is configured to receive a selectively removable fastener. No portion of the wearable item, including the first and second item portions, includes a loop patch for engaging the hook patch. A strap having a first end portion and a second end portion is used with the wearable item. The first end portion includes a loop patch secured thereto and the second end portion has a selectively removable fastener secured thereto for engaging the receiver portion and the loop patch is selectively engaged with the hook patch.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for teaching skills to a child includes a toy barn kit which has a plurality of structural elements including walls, gables, and roof panels which can be assembled into a completed toy barn. The structural elements have color coded connectors and mating connectors which assist the child in the assembly process. In performing the assembly, the child learns skills of (1) principles of construction, (2) spatial relationships, (3) sequential thinking, and (4) color recognition and matching.

Abstract: A fastening tab is provided having a substrate with a main portion, a user's end portion extending from the main portion, a primary mechanical fastening patch having a side edge coterminous with the side edge of the user's end portion of the substrate, and first and second auxiliary mechanical fastening patches on the main portion of the substrate. A method of making a fastening tab is also disclosed. The method includes attaching multiple discrete patches of mechanical fastener to a substrate web extending in the machine direction, cutting through the substrate web and the multiple patches of mechanical fastener in the machine direction with a continuous, meandering cut to provide two sub-webs, and optionally providing cross-web direction cuts through each sub-web to provide a plurality of fastening tabs. An absorbent article including the fastening tab and webs of fastening tabs are also included.

The storage device comprises a lower member, an upper member, and a joint that permits articulated motion between the lower member and the upper member in a first direction along the longitudinal axis of the storage device. In one example, the outer member comprises a pair of closure members that articulate in a second direction toward the longitudinal axis.

A plurality of fastener sections attached to said strap, such that the fastener sections are spaced along the lengthwise direction of said strap and cross substantially the entire width of said strap. The fastener sections cross the width of the elastic strap at angles to the width of said strap. Also discussed is a method of manufacturing a flexible attachment strap which results in forming an elastic strap capable of being stretched. Per the method, a strap forms from a plurality of fastener sections having a fastener outer surface and a mounting inner surface and attaching said inner surfaces of fastener sections on said elastic strap. The mounted fastener sections form discrete fastening regions on the surface of the flexible attachment strap.

A fastener button is fixedly attached to a side of a base element of one of the two members, on a side obverse to the integrated hooks or eyes thereon. The engaging fastener aperture permit the garment button to pass therethrough, effecting a holding engagement between the member and a garment element.

The hook and loop tie comprises a loop component, a non-slip component, and a hook component. The loop component has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The non-slip component is affixed to the loop component and extends from the first end of the loop component toward the second end of the loop component. The hook component is affixed to the loop component, extends from the second end of the loop component toward the first end of the loop component, and overlaps at least a portion of the non-slip component.

Abstract: An article sorting apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a container having a bottom and a longitudinally extending sidewall extending therefrom and a panel positioned proximal the container. The panel includes a cylindrically shaped shoulder extending therefrom and that defines a channel in alignment with the shoulder and that extends through the panel for allowing pass-through of a matched pair of socks. The cylindrically shaped shoulder is configured for receiving an open end of a first sock. A second sock is positioned proximal the first sock and inserted into and through a respective channel and disposed into the container.

Abstract: A reusable hose bundling sleeve is provided that is made of a tightly-woven nylon material coated with urethane. Strips of hooks and loops are adhered and stitched to opposite ends of opposite sides of the sleeve. The reusable hose is installed by wrapping the sleeve around the hoses or cables such that the strips of hooks and loops align and engage. Notches can be cut along the length of the reusable hose bundling sleeve to allow for shorter hoses or cables within the sleeve to exit. Because of the materials used, the notches will not weaken the fibers and cause fraying. The reusable hose bundling sleeve is removed by separating the strips of hooks and loops and unwrapping the sleeve. The reusable hose bundling sleeve can be installed, removed, and reinstalled quickly and without diminishing durability. Alternatively, the sleeve may be adapted to be secured and/or hanged.
