Abstract: PROBLEM: To provide a retaining device for which the magnitude of resistance when an engaging protrusion moves between elastic pieces can be adjusted. SOLUTION: The retaining device 4 is provided with: a receiving member 5 that is attached to a main body 1, and an engagement member 6 that is attached to a movable body 2. The receiving member 5 has: a base part 10 attached to the main body 1, a first elastic piece 11 supported by the base part 10, and a second elastic piece 12 supported by the base part 10. The engagement member 6 has an engaging protrusion 8 that passes between the first elastic piece 11 and the second elastic piece 12 and is retained at a retaining position P. An interval between the first elastic piece 11 and the second elastic piece 12 becomes narrower than the engaging protrusion 8 at a more forward side than the retaining position P. The first elastic piece 11 bends more easily than the second elastic piece 12 at a more forward side than the retaining position P.

Abstract: A support adapted for mounting to wire shelving units, particularly a support adapted to be securely coupled and repositioned on upper and lower horizontally-extending wire members located at the front of wire shelving units. The support does not interfere with use of a shelving unit including the storage of items on the shelving unit or handing items under the shelving unit.

Abstract: Interlocking hook assemblies for straps and cords including a strap member and interlocking hook devices connected to each strap member which can be adjusted to desired length. Each device has apertures fixedly attached to the distal end of the hook body opposite the hook. Each hook device can be connected, preferably in a locking manner, onto the other hook device creating a closed hook assembly thereby disabling the hooks to prevent entanglement of straps. Multiple straps can be connected end-to-end forming an elongated strap of desired length having closed central hooks with open hooks on each end. Interlocking hook assemblies for straps and cords including two similar interlocking hook devices each with a connector groove and dual bar adjustable webbing slider for straps and cords, each said connector groove allows each hook to engage the other within their respective grooves and to releasably lock them together.

Abstract: A multi-functional hook, which comprises a body portion, and a positioning portion and a hook portion arranged on a back surface of the body portion, wherein the back surface of the body portion is provided with a first mounting portion and a second mounting portion, the first mounting portion is provided with a first rotating shaft, the positioning portion is pivoted on the first rotating shaft, an inside end of the positioning portion is provided with a rotating portion and a limiting portion, the rotating portion is arranged on one side of the hook portion, and the positioning portion can rotate along the rotating portion towards the positioning portion; and the second mounting portion is provided with a second rotating shaft, and an inside end of the hook portion is pivoted on the second rotating shaft and can rotate along the second rotating shaft.

A retainer portion of the cable retainer gate is configured for retaining cables on the cable basket. The cable retainer gate is movable between open and closed positions to permit placement and removal of cables on the basket.

Abstract: A decorative removable lighting enclosed clip made for mounting a light to a support surface such as gutters, shingles or a building structure. The purpose of this enclosed clip is to allow an esthetically pleasing display of lights with rapid and easy installation and removal of the lighting. This eliminates falling debris from broken clips or clips that fall off the lights during the removal process. A support tab is inserted between the side portions of the structure, at longitudinally spaced intervals along the strip, and are frictionally gripped and retained by the facing side portions of the gutter, shingle or structure. The clips have enclosed end portions which support the light elements of a decorative light string along structure. The enclosed clip is capable of mounting onto a wide variety of gutters, eaves and building structures. The spacing is adjustable and provides a plurality of discrete angular positions.

Abstract: A suspension device has a base plate (11) intended to be fastened to a wall and two rods (15, 16) fastened on the base plate with the ends pointing towards one another. The rods have end knobs (17, 18) and one end knob (18) is spring-loaded to rest against the end knob of the other rod. Using a closed loop, a snare is made around the object that is to be hung up and then the loop is pressed in between the ends of the rods so that the loop remains hanging on one rod.

Abstract: A quick quilt attachment apparatus and method consists of a leader with a frame end and a quilt end. A first quick connector is provided at both the frame end and the quilt end of the leader. A trap flap is provided where the trap flap has a first end connected with the leader and a second end where the second end includes a second quick connector conformed to connect the second end of the trap flap to the first quick connector at the quilt end of the leader.

Abstract: The purpose of this clip is to attach to a chain link fence and provide a connection point for a device or structure. The method of attachment is provided by two mechanically combined structural members with peripheral retaining grooves that fit the fence wire. The clip is compressed or expanded to grip two parallel wires of a chain link fence. The structural members of the clip move the retaining grooves in parallel for a precise fit with the fence. The clip can be engaged with the fence in an internal or external manner. In the preferred embodiment of this invention, the chain link fence clip utilizes a spring to force the two retaining grooves into engagement with the fence. The clip can be locked in place for a strong semi-permanent connection. Springs, cams, linkages, and screws can be used to automate engagement for quick tool-less attachment and removal.

The fastener includes a clip that slides over the edge of the material and is secured by a pin inserted into the clip to pass through the material. Abstract: An anchor point apparatus is disclosed having a substantially cylindrical cavity extending along a longitudinal axis of a slotted tube; a tabbed bearing plate including a first attachment tab and a second attachment tab, the attachment tabs extending at predetermined angles from the tabbed bearing plate, the tabbed bearing plate generally conforming to a portion of an outer surface of the slotted tube; at least one circumferential clamp disposed about the slotted tube; and an attachment link having a first attachment ear secured within a first opening in the first attachment tab and a second attachment ear secured within a second opening in the second attachment tab.

Abstract: A cover-material fixing clip includes: a chuck that pinches a locking hem formed on a back surface of a cover material; a hook that locks a wire provided in a groove of a cushion material; and a guide lever that is provided facing an opening of the hook. Abstract: A device which helps secure the gas supply lines which deliver a supply of a specialized gas, such as oxygen, to a cannula. The device is a holding structure which includes a cannula tubing retainer attached to a clamping device. The cannula tubing retainer is positioned relative to the clamping device so that a centerline running along an upper surface of said tubing retainer is approximately parallel, if not parallel to a centerline which runs through a clamping mechanism of the clamping device. The clamping device is actuated by a lever with an over center cam action that forces the jaws of the clamp together, and the lever locks the clamp in place when the lever is in a closed position. When the cannula wearer is walking, the clamping device is typically clamped to an article of clothing.

Abstract: A twist tie device has an elongated piece of shape-retaining deformable material. A cover covers the shape-retaining deformable material along the length of the elongated piece. The cover has a bond between the elongated piece and the cover. The bond between the cover and the elongated piece is along the entire interior surface of the cover. An outer cover may be bonded to the cover. The outer cover may have a gripping surface and a non-gripping surface. The gripping surface will provide more grip for the twist tie device when it is wrapped around itself, and the gripping surface will provide more grip when it is wrapped around objects.

Abstract: A covering system includes a tarp made of an elastic membrane and a plurality of tarp fastening hooks. The fastening hooks allow the elastic membrane to be stretched over valuables and affixed to environmental anchors so that creases and puddle-enabling pockets in the membrane are eliminated. The fastening hooks clamp onto the elastic membrane and hook onto the environmental anchors to cause tension in the membrane. The clamping forces of the tarp fasteners are inherently increased in proportion to the tension in the clamped membrane.

Abstract: A device is selectably movable between a “clasp” configuration and a “hanger” configuration. The device has a device body, a first spring biased hinge at a first end of the device body and a second spring biased hinge at a second end of the device body, a clip hingedly connected to the first end of the body, and a hook hingedly connected to the second end of the body. The hinges bias the device to a closed position clasp configuration and the clip and the hook are swingable against spring bias to an open position hanger configuration. The device has physical stops to limit angular motion of both clip and hook to less than 90 degrees each.

Abstract: A method and device for carrying animal waste bags made from a unitary body comprising a hook for transporting the device and apertures to seal and hold the bags. The bags are inserted into an aperture and drawn through a compression slot which temporarily seals the bags. The device can then be attached to a variety of objects utilizing the integrated hook for hands free transportation of the waste bags.

Abstract: A method for securing a rolled cargo strap may include the steps of attaching a hook of a securing device to an attachment clip of the cargo strap. A strap of the securing device may be passed around a circumference of the rolled cargo strap so that the strap of the securing device is at least partially overlapped. A hook component may then be engaged with a loop component of hook and loop material attached to the strap of the securing device so that the strap of the securing device remains in an overlapped configuration.

Abstract: A rope tensioning device includes an elongated base having a first hooked end and a second hooked end, an anchor for anchoring the rope on the device, and a clamp. The clamp is adapted to grip the rope inserted into the device allowing it to be pulled in a tightening direction to tension the rope. The clamp is adapted to prevent the rope pulling in a reverse direction.

Abstract: The clip includes an outer component having an opening in which an inner component is received. The inner component is resiliency biased into a closed position in which its front and back walls are co-planar with the front and back walls, respectively, of the outer component. A force opposed to the bias of the resilient means causes the inner component to pivot away from the outer component thereby enlarging the space between the two components. A pair of socks or mitts may then be inserted into the space. The socks or mitts are retained in the space when the inner component springs back to the closed position. A connector system is operably coupled to the fishing net at a location spaced apart from the top of the handle. A method is also provided for attaching a landing net to the back panel of a fishing garment, which includes the steps of removably coupling the handle of the landing net to the top section of the garment; and removably coupling the landing net to the middle section of the garment.

Abstract: A fishing net retraction system for efficiently retracting a receiving net during non-use to avoid entanglement while allowing expansion of the receiving net upon receiving a fish. The fishing net retraction system includes a base attachable to a handle of a fishing net, a first connector attached to the base, a connecting device attachable to a receiving net of the fishing net, and a second connector attached to the connecting device, wherein said second connector is removably attachable to the first connector. The first connector and the second connector are preferably comprised of magnets that are attracted to one another while allowing separation upon receiving a fish within the receiving net.

The lower portion has a lip protruding therefrom for latching onto the belt. The clip includes a rectilinear arm that has a monolithically formed stop member. A spring mechanism is included for articulating the jaw members between disengaged and engaged positions. The swiveling mechanism cooperates with the spring mechanism so that the jaw members can rotate while being biased between the engaged and disengaged positions.

This device consists of a first part (2) fitted with a gripping device (4) located at one of its ends, a second part (3) fitted with a gripping device (5) located at one of its ends, and opposite to the first part, a third part (11) connecting the first and second parts, this third part (11) being flexible and elastic. The first part (2) and the second part (3) are mobile in relation to each other so that in the rest position, the gripping part (4) of the first part (2) and the gripping part (5) of the second part (3) engage with each other to achieve a pinching action on the woven or non-woven material, and so that in the active position, they disengage in such a manner as to release the woven or non-woven material. Application for the clipping, for example, of socks while in the wash or being dried.

Abstract: A generally flat holder for clipping to a user's trousers and holding a towel or other fabric object. The holder has a body including an upper section forming a C-shaped hook forming a first gap between opposing ends of the C, and a lower section comprising a frame forming a central opening encircling an upwardly projecting tab. A U-shaped second gap is defined between the tab and the surrounding portion of the frame. The body is generally rigid, but is sufficiently flexible so that the hook and tab may be deflected to increase their respective gaps. Deflection enables the hook to be slipped over the belt or edge of the trousers of a user, and enables the tab to admit passage of a towel or the like into the central opening of the lower section of the body. The tab is configured to maintain engagement with the towel, but readily releases the towel when deflected by manual pressure such that its respective gap is widened. All edges of the body are beveled.

Abstract: A reinforced bungee cord tie down for securing cargo without becoming over-stretched. The reinforced bungee cord tie down includes an elongate elastic member with each of the ends of the elastic member having a hook coupled thereto. The ends of an elongate inelastic flexible member are coupled to the ends of the elastic member such that the flexible member extends between the ends of the elastic member. The length of the flexible member is greater than the length of the elastic member when in a relaxed state and less than the length of the elastic member when in a fully stretched state.

Abstract: A device for hanging articles, such as clothing, athletic equipment, and equipment bags, from a chain link fence or the like, comprises an elongate body having a front side and a rear side. On the rear side is a spring-loaded fence-gripping clasp, dimensioned for releasably grasping the wires of the fence. The fence-gripping clasp comprises a fixed fence-gripping jaw and a movable fence-gripping jaw, spring-biased toward the fixed fence-gripping jaw. On the front side is a spring-loaded hanger clasp, specifically adapted for releasably grasping an article having a strap or handle, but also suitable for hanging an article of clothing. The hanger clasp comprises a fixed hanger jaw and a movable hanger jaw, spring-biased to close against the fixed hanger jaw. In a preferred embodiment, the hanger clasp is disposed near the lower end of the elongate body, and a fixed clothes hook extends from the front of the body, above the hanger clasp.

Abstract: A cargo holder for securing cargo loads in the bed of a pickup truck consists of a metal bar formed with a first hook at one end to engage the bottom edge of the wall of a pickup truck and a second hook at an opposite end to catch a loop in a tie-down rope. A flexible cylindrical tube disposed around the body of the metal bar can be slid downwards when securing the holder to a truck wall, thereby creating a clamping action between the tube and the first hook which secures the holder to the wall of the pickup truck. After several cargo holders have been positioned around the cargo bed and tie-down ropes have been arranged so as to catch the second hooks of the holders, the foam tubes of the cargo holders are slid upwards so as to provide a cushioned barrier between each cargo holder and the truck's finish, thereby preventing accidental marring of the truck.

Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for housing a stacked supply of hooks which permits the individual withdrawal of a lowermost hook from the stack. A dispensing apparatus provides a chamber having an open top, a rear wall, two side walls, a front wall, a spaced floor providing a gap between the floor and the front wall, the front wall providing a longitudinal opening transversing the wall, the opening permitting the passage of a loop portion of each hook.

Abstract: A fastener for securing a printed circuit board to a chassis includes a body portion, legs depending from the body portion, the legs being adapted for removable attachment within holes in the chassis, a hook for slidably engaging a slot on a printed circuit board inserted thereon, and a grounding element for providing an electrical connection between the printed circuit board and a shield on the chassis. The fastener described herein enables one chassis design to accommodate a variety of sizes of printed circuit boards merely by forming holes at particular points on the chassis, thereby avoiding the expense of redesigning a chassis to accommodate a new printed circuit board.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device designed to retain a pair of sock or other paired items of clothing together during the washing or drying thereof. The retaining device is also adapted to be used to display a pair of socks or other paired items of clothing on display racks in stores selling such items of clothing. Also, disclosed is a holder dispenser for storing a number of the retaining devices in the laundry and which allows the retaining devices to be removed one at a time, as needed.
