And Hook Patents (Class 24/343)
  • Patent number: 5079802
Abstract: The present invention is a suction hose clip for connecting an accessory hose, an accessory cable or the like to the suction hose of a vacuum cleaning device. The clip is generally ring-shaped with an open side defining two opposing ends. The clip has an accessory receiving area positioned generally opposite to the open side. Oppositely facing hook portions are provided at the two opposing ends and engage with each other to provide a hook over hook closure to close the clip around a suction hose. A rib projects from the inner wall of the clip to engage the corrugated surface of a suction hose and keep the clip from sliding along the length of the suction hose.

  • Patent number: 4856150
Abstract: A portable coupler which can detachably fit into opposing corner fittings of adjacent freight containers for joining the containers into an integral unit is disclosed. The coupler includes a unitary tension spindle member shaped at each end to fit into and latch onto a standard container corner fitting. In use, one end of the spindle is fitted into an end opening of the corner fitting of a first container and the spindle is then moved longitudinally to engage and hook into the opening of an opposed end corner fitting of an adjacent container. A pair of bearing rings are fitted about the spindle, each formed with a bearing face to bear against the external face of an opposed container corner fitting. Both bearing rings are engaged to a common outer collar ring that may be manually rotated to separate the bearing rings and simultaneously provide a compression force between the corner fittings of the joined containers and a tension force in the spindle member hooked into both containers.

  • Patent number: 4618353
Abstract: An improved filter bag assembly is shown for use in a filter bag housing having a plurality of filter bags, each of the filter bags being anchored at a lower end and being suspended within the bag housing in a tensioned relation by an upper end thereof. A bag spring is provided having a central coil, and a pair of angularly arranged spring sides extending outwardly from the coil. A hanger bracket is used to suspend the bag spring by engaging a selected spring side and the opposite spring side is engaged by a flexible strap attached to the bag upper end. • Patent number: 4538372
Abstract: A releasable downrigger clip is disclosed having a finite length of spring wire and having a first segment thereof at a first end doubled back upon itself to define an eyelet and a releasable clasp enabling an intermediate segment of an elongate downrigger wire to be received in the eyelet by passing between the spring wire and the releasable clasp. A second segment of wire at the opposite end of the finite length is also doubled back on itself to define a hook. A closed loop is provided in the segment of the wire intermediate the opposite ends with the opposite ends of the loop resiliently engaging each other but being separable against the resilient urging caused by the resilience of the spring wire. In use, the clip is adapted to releasably engage the downrigger wire which extends from the downrigger arrangement to a weight connected at a free end thereof beneath the surface of the water.

  • Patent number: 4452836
Abstract: An assembly for attachment to a hollow ornament such as a Christmas tree ball having a cap adapted to fit over the open end or neck of the ornament, and defining a cut-out area. A clip having an elongated central portion and outwardly extending end portions, stop means located at each end of the central portion and teeth means interposed between the stop means and the outwardly extending end portions also comprises part of the assembly. The cap and clip are comprised of a flexible and bendable plastic material which is electrically non-conductive and fire resistant. The central portion of the clip extends in U-shape configuration through the cut-out area of the cap and the outwardly extending end portions of the clip engage the interior part of the hollow ornament beneath its open end. The stops are positioned above the cap and are of sufficient length compared to the cut-out area to prevent the central portion of the clip from falling through the cut-out area into the interior of the ornament.

  • Patent number: 4332061
Abstract: An adjustable clasp for interconnecting two sections of a bracelet, including in combination a coupling assembly secured to the end of one bracelet section, and a clamp assembly detachably fixable at selected locations along the length of the other bracelet section. The clamp assembly has a bottom wall with opposed side walls extending substantially normal thereto. A resilient pressure plate is supported by the side walls at a location cooperating with the bottom wall to define a space therebetween for receiving the said other bracelet section. A rigid clamping member also is supported by the side walls. The clamping member is adjustable between an open position allowing limited movement of the pressure plate relative to the bottom wall in order to accommodate slidable movement of the said other bracelet section through said space, and a closed position resiliently deflecting the pressure plate to positively grip the said other bracelet section between the pressure plate and the bottom wall.
