Abstract: A curtain closure device for securing a pair of curtains in a closed and secure position. The curtain closure device includes a clip having a first side and a second side, wherein the first side can secure to a first curtain and the second side can simultaneously secure to a second curtain. Each side of the clip includes a pressure member having a pair of slots substantially parallel to one another and an opening disposed along a respective side of the clip to receive an edge of the respective curtain therein. The pressure members can apply a force towards a cross member of the clip to retain the curtains in a secured position. In some embodiments, the clip is transparent to prevent obstruction of the design of the curtain.

Abstract: An explosion-proof conduit fitting configured to be placed between two pieces of electrical conduit, thereby connecting the two conduit pieces together such that electrical lines running through the two conduits also pass through the fitting. An embodiment utilizes two primary components to prevent migrations of gases and to provide the structural requirement of withstanding the extreme pressures of explosions from allowing flames and temperatures above the ignition temperature of flammable gases to pass through the hazardous area boundary: a granular fill, such as sand; and a removable gas-tight fire-stopping compound, such as an expanding closed cell foam.

Abstract: An apparatus and heat management mechanism are described. The apparatus includes an outer casing enclosing at least one heat generating electronic structure, such as a plurality of electronic components included on at least printed circuit board, the outer casing having an inner surface and an outer surface. The apparatus and the heat management mechanism further include a heat dissipation structure thermally coupled to the heat generating structure or printed circuit board, the heat dissipation structure forming an open-ended columnar channel, the open-ended columnar channel allowing air to flow within the heat dissipation structure in a direction parallel to a surface of the heat generating structure or printed circuit board.

The protective housing can include a chassis comprising two elongate side rails, a circuit board located between the pair of elongate side rails, an armature fixedly coupled to the chassis, a buffer coupled to the circuit board. The protective housing can further include a substantially cylindrical intermediate sleeve, a substantially cylindrical outer case, and a pair of end caps, one each located at opposite distal ends of the protective housing.

Abstract: A manifold having a first side, a second side, a first channel extending from the first side to the second side, and a second channel extending from the first side to the second side is disclosed. The first channel and the second channel each define a linear longitudinal axis. In one embodiment, the first channel longitudinal axis and the second channel longitudinal axis are oblique to the first side and the second side of the manifold. The manifold of the present disclosure provides channels that can be easily cleaned and allow for an increased flow performance.

Abstract: An ointment squeeze ball has an exit orifice for dispensing ointment. A colorant squeeze ball has an exit orifice for dispensing colorant. A mixing tube has an input end, an exit applicator tip, and an elongated passageway with helical mixing vanes. A central component in a Y-shaped configuration with a central passageway removably couples the ointment squeeze ball and the mixing tube. The central component has a lateral leg with a lateral passageway removably coupling the colorant squeeze ball and an intermediate region of the central passageway.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for delivery of fluids, particularly biological, reactive fluids. The apparatus provides an opening when force is acted on the apparatus, and closure when no force is acted thereon. The apparatus provides a cleaning mechanism to remove fluids and other materials from a mixing space after use.

Abstract: A method for controlling the planting of olive trees for the continuous mechanical harvesting of the olives using harvesting machines, the method having the following steps: planting parallel rows of olive tree saplings with a spacing between the tree trunks and a spacing between the rows; placing trellising on each row; placing divergent supports for each tree; attaching two divergent branches of each tree, which are arranged in a single vertical plane and in the vertical plane of the row to which said tree belongs, onto a pair of supports; removing other branches of said tree; adapting the shape of the foliage of the trees so as to impart a configuration flattened in alignment with the rows thereto; maintaining said configuration by periodically pruning the trees until the latter reach maturity and bear fruit; and removing the supports and the trellising when the trees are fully grown.

Abstract: An improved, simpler, and more cost effective method for hanging multiple layers of curtaining with reduced damage to the casement of a window or of the walls around a window. An e-shaped hook (1) wraps around an existing bracket (3) utilized to hang a primary curtain rod. The hook (1) then extends down from the bracket (3) ending in a lateral prong at a right angle to the bracket (3) and perpendicular to the original curtain rod, pointing toward the center of the window. This prong is then inserted into the aperture of a telescoping rod with an internal spring adjustment referred to as a spring tension rod (2). The spring tension rod (2), due to its internal spring, allows for the rod to be inserted onto the hook (1) and be released from the hook (1) without the removal of the hook (1) from the bracket (3).

Abstract: A logging while drilling (LWD) tool can include a shock mounted sensor package with thermal isolation. For example, a LWD tool can include a pressure housing surrounding a cavity. A sensor package that includes at least one end connection can be coupled within the cavity. The LWD tool can also include a support structure coupled to the pressure housing and supporting the end connection of the sensor package. The support structure is configured to provide damping along at least one of the axial, radial, and azimuthal axes. The end connection is configured to inhibit thermal conductivity between the support structure and the sensor package.

Abstract: A system for attaching a device to a glasses frame includes a spring clip that applies pressure to two sides of the glasses frame, and a magnet for attaching the device thereto. The device may attach directly to the magnet, or via a slide-on attachment piece. The spring clip may include a spring arm having distal ends that assist the spring clip in applying pressure to the glasses frames.

A cross-section of the first wall member is defined by a first side wall, a second side wall and a connecting wall that is positioned between the first side wall and the second side wall. A cross-section of the second wall member is defined by a first end and a second end, wherein at least a portion of the first end is connected to a portion of the first side wall of the first wall member and wherein a second end is positioned between the first side wall and the second side wall and spaced away from an inner surface of the connecting wall. Abstract: A three-pronged box flap closure device is provided for securing together three box flaps of a moving box or carton without the use of adhesive tape or overlapping the box flaps to secure the same together. One or more closure devices are contemplated for each box end, wherein each closure device comprises a first and second upper prong member forming a substantial V-shape with a common apex. A third prong member extends from the apex and between the first and second prong members, wherein the third prong member is disposed below the plane created by the first and second prong members. The first and second prong members are adapted to be positioned over a pair of aligned box flaps, while the lower prong member extends beneath a third, undermost box flap below the aligned box flaps, thereby sandwiching the three box flaps together along one side of the box end.

Abstract: A clip includes first and second clamping pieces provided to clamp a member to be fixed. The first clamping piece includes an insertion part to be inserted into a thorough hole of a fixed member. The insertion part includes a pair of strip member, each including a smaller width portion, a larger width portion and a stepped portion provided therebetween. In a course of the insertion part being inserted into the through hole, the larger width portions of the strip members pass the through hole while the strip members are flexed in the direction approaching to each other, and subsequently when the smaller width portions are inserted into the through hole, the strip members are allowed to be deformed in a direction separating from each other to return to an original state, whereby the stepped portions are locked to a region to be locked in the fixed member.

Abstract: An improved system, method and product are disclosed for attaching non load-bearing metal wall studs to an overhead metal track in metal stud framing systems used for wall partitioning, in a manner that allows the overhead track to deflect under load without transferring the load to the studs and any attached wall partitions. The system features compression spring attachment products that frictionally engage overlapping flange portions of the track and studs so that any overhead load-induced movements of the track are not transferred from the track to the studs, or to any wall partitions attached to the studs.

The clip is configured into four sections that are delineated by three bends. A first clip structure is defined by a first section, a first bend and a second section. The first clip structure is capable of receiving and retaining a portion of a flat piece of cardstock. Likewise, a second clip structure is defined by a second section, a second bend and a third section. The second clip structure is capable of receiving and retaining a portion of a different piece of cardstock. The clip can be supported or interconnected to other clips by a detachable tubular element, such as a straw.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable shopping aid used to mount a shopping list, coupons, or other documents. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the aid is configured to sacrifice a writing surface in favor of portability, by providing a small body that may be easily inserted into a pocket or handbag. The body includes a clamp for mounting the aid onto a push bar of a shopping cart, for hands free viewing during shopping, as well as a document clip mechanism that clips documents by their ends closest to the push bar. In order to provide structural rigidity to retained documents, and notwithstanding the absence of a writing surface or clipboard, the clip mechanism is configured to crease documents. The shopping aid also includes feet for standing the aid upright, on a flat surface, and means for mounting the aid magnetically on a refrigerator wall, in all cases such that retained documents are presented in a convenient reading orientation.

Abstract: A rectangular box closure clip engages the two top flaps of a shipping container holding them securely without damaging the carton enabling the boxes to be reused without the need for being reformulated. The closure clip includes a pair of lower surfaces and a pair of upper surfaces interconnected by a central web that extends substantially throughout the length of the clip. The edges of the two upper surfaces are set back to facilitate insertion into the box. In a second embodiment, a vertically extending endstop is provided to prevent a box stacked atop the clip from sliding axially relative thereto. In still a third embodiment, a recess allows a binder strap to be installed around the clip to retain it in place. A programmable, scanable chip may be incorporated into the closure clip to facilitate tracking and/or to tamper-proof the package.

Abstract: A respiratory component mounting assembly includes a first respiratory component, a second respiratory component and a mounting clip for mounting the second respiratory component to the first respiratory component. Each of the first and second respiratory components includes at least two spaced apart clip openings. The mounting clip has an intermediate portion and two spaced apart free ends connected to the intermediate portion. The intermediate portion of the mounting clip is received within both of the clip openings of the first respiratory component and the free ends of the mounting clip are received in the clip openings of the second respiratory component for releasably securing the first and second respiratory components together.

Abstract: A holder for clamping flexible sheet material includes an extruded plastic, elongated channel member having a base wall having two ends. The base wall is connected at one of the ends to a relatively short, upstanding forward leg having an inner face forming a bearing surface. The forward leg has a free upper end, and the base wall is connected at the other of the ends thereof to a relatively long, upstanding rearward leg having an upper end, and a top wall is joined to the upper end of the rearward leg. The top wall extends down behind the forward leg and has a free end which resiliently engages the bearing surface of the forward leg and it also has a crease or bend line spaced apart from the upper edge of the forward leg so as to define a wedge-shaped opening therebetween.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable shopping aid used to mount a shopping list, coupons, or other documents. Abstract: A gutter level device for leveling a gutter against a pitched fascia board is provided. The gutter level device includes a clip adapted to attach to a rear wall of the gutter. A selectively formable arm is coupled to a first end of the clip and adapted to bend to a first desired angle. The arm is further adapted to substantially match the pitch of the fascia board. A method for leveling the gutter with the gutter level device is also provided.

Abstract: A holding clip is provided for fixing the position of components which carry getters and are arranged at least partly as holl bodies in containers used in vacuum systems. The holding clip include, a partial section supporting the component carrying the getter and a partial section forming a supporting part for support in the container. The partial section supports the component carrying the getter by way of a flexurally rigid connection. The partial section is provided with a spring-elastic arrangement, so that the component carrying the getter can be braced relative to the partial section supporting the component carrying the getter and the supporting part can be braced relative to the inner surface of the container by elastic deformation.

Abstract: A money clip for organizing and storing paper bills such as currency. The money clip includes a single length of wire having two free ends which form a clasping portion and a flap attached thereto. The two free ends of the wire have spherical elements attached thereto to cover the free ends. The wire is folded symmetrically with respect to a straight base portion to provide a “butterfly-like” configuration; the base portion being “the body” of the butterfly, and the folded portions on either side of the base forming “the wings” of the butterfly. The flap is a substantially flat, disc-shaped member affixed to the base portion along a diameter thereof such that the base portion is substantially colinear with a diameter of the flap. A portion of the flap covers a portion of the clasping portion disposed adjacent the base portion and serves to maintain the correct orientation of the bills in the clip.

Abstract: A fastener for the suspension of a birdcage toy or the like has a first end terminating in a first loop, and a second end terminating in a second loop, each of the first and second loops terminating in a free end that allows for easy attachment of objects to the loops. An additional section is defined between the loop free ends to assist in preventing the free ends from deflecting outward, resulting in possible inadvertent detachment from the cage or retained object.

Abstract: A spacer is provided for use in a standing seam roof system in which roof panels are provided having a base portion and upstanding side flanges along opposed longitudinal sides of the panel. The panels are installed sequentially along roof purlins in a working direction. Occasionally a portion of each panel being installed trails in the working direction in relation to the remainder of the panel. A spacer element is provided with a hook for being suspended in the seam between upstanding side flanges of adjacent panels to advance the trailing portion of the panels and thereby straighten the panels of the roof system.

Abstract: A flexible wirelike retainer clip is adapted to hold a plurality of disc-like rings in a stacked assembly. The retainer clip is resilient and can be selectively actuated to hold the rings in a stacked position to facilitate handling for various purposes such as processing the rings while stacked, shipping the rings while stacked and to facilitate release of the rings for assembly to other components. The resilience of the retainer clip facilitates accommodating stacks of rings within a range of varying lengths.

In one embodiment, the clip is a generally rectangular, unitary structure shaped to include a first end wall, a second end wall spaced apart from and extending parallel to the first end wall, a lower wall extending perpendicularly between and interconnecting the first end wall and the second end wall, and an upper wall having a first end connected to the first end wall and a second end spaced apart from the second end wall. The first end wall, the second end wall, the lower wall and the upper wall together define a tubing storage cavity, with the space between the upper wall and the second end wall defining an inlet to the tubing storage cavity. Abstract: A vehicle floor mat affixation device includes a noncircular shaped body with an axial extending connector. The connector secures the affixation device to the vehicle floor. A reverse face of the affixation device includes a panel of releasable fastening material that is designed to mate with a similar panel of releasable fastening material in the vehicle floor mat. The present invention resists affixation device pull-out as well as shear forces applied to the mat with respect to the carpeting on which the mat is placed, but nonetheless permits easy removal and replacement of the vehicle floor mat and of the affixation devices without tools.

Abstract: Disclosed is a clip having a base part and a pair of grasping arms. The grasping arms are integrally formed with and bent forward from upper and lower ends of the base part in a manner such that lip portions are formed adjacent to free ends of the grasping arms. The lip portions are abutted against each other with a substantial degree of elasticity. Each lip portion is projectedly formed at both widthwise ends thereof with a pair of lug portions. A pair of first projections are formed on an inner surface of a first grasping arm such that they extend over an entire width of the first grasping arm and define therebetween an engaging groove. A second projection is formed on an inner surface of a second grasping arm such that it extends over an entire width of the second grasping arm and is engaged into the engaging groove of the first grasping arm.

Abstract: A lottery card reader is disclosed. The lottery card reader comprises (A) a clip that can be releaseably attached to any position along an edge of a lottery card and (B) a transparent flap attached to the clip that extends over at least one game on a lottery card when the clip is attached to a lottery card. Also disclosed is a method of checking a lottery card for winning numbers using the lottery card reader. Further disclosed is an assembly of the lottery card reader and a lottery card, a writing instrument, and/or an envelope into which lottery cards can be placed.

Abstract: A ceiling fan or light fixture is provided with a sliding support member that slides horizontally into a support channel attached to a ceiling box. An electrical plug and receptacle attached to the two support members automatically mate as the two support members are slid together. A bell is then raised to cover the two support members and prevent them from sliding apart.
