According to the invention, the interlocking system (7) comprises a flexible safety device (13) so that the screw (8) and nut (9) assembly can continue to be screwed and unscrewed whilst elastically preventing relative displacement between the screw (8) and the nut (9) below a predetermined torque.

Abstract: Two-stage clasp mechanisms, and related systems and methods, are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the clasp mechanism includes a first housing portion, a second housing portion configured to connect to the first housing portion, and a locking mechanism configured to secure the first and second housing portions together. The locking mechanism can include a first striker carried by the second housing portion, a second striker movably carried by the first housing portion, and a blocking component movably carried by the second housing portion. The second striker is moveable along a first direction between an engaged position and a disengaged position with the first striker. The blocking component is movable along a second direction at an angle with respect to the first direction between a first position that prevents the first striker from moving and a second position that allows the second striker to move.

Abstract: A set of mandibular advancement splints includes a maxillary splint having a maxillary abutment assembly and a mandibular splint having a mandibular abutment assembly. At least one of the maxillary abutment assembly and the mandibular abutment assembly has an advancement adjustment structure comprising at least one adjustment spacer removably securable to the corresponding one of the maxillary splint and the mandibular splint. The at least one adjustment spacer has a spacing length defining the mandibular advancement provided by the set of mandibular advancement splints. A set of removable adjustment spacers, a mandibular advancement kit, and a method for adjusting a mandibular advancement produced by a set of mandibular advancement splints are also provided.

The locking lever can engage the locking pin when the plunger is sufficiently pushed into the cylinder chamber, thereby keeping the plunger pushed in the cylinder chamber.

Abstract: A side release buckle includes a male member having two forward extended elastic retaining arms, each of which has a curved outer sidewall with a retaining shoulder portion formed near a proximal end thereof and a downward locating block; and a hollow female member having a front opening and two side openings, and two projected stoppers. The curved outer sidewalls of the retaining arms enable the male member to slide into the front opening of the female member from an angular position, and the engagement of the male member with the female member at the retaining shoulder portions and axially front ends of the side openings and at the locating blocks and the stoppers provides the buckle with enhanced force-bearing strength to prevent the male and the female member from easy breakaway.

Abstract: A buckle has a male and a female portion. The female portion has a hollow body with two sidewalls, an open receiving end and a locking end with an opening formed from the side walls. The opening is wider in a central area than at its ends. The male portion has at least one locking arm with a free end and a locking tab. Inserting the male portion into the female portion compresses locking arm, causing the locking tab to extend through the opening in the locking end. Inserting the male portion fully into the female portion causes tab to rest against one of the narrow ends of the opening in the locking end, to lock the male portion to the female portion. Pulling the male portion against the female portion causes the tab to lock even more firmly against the edges of the opening to prevent inadvertent disengagement.
