In one embodiment, the pressure plate includes two rollers positioned on opposing sides of the feeder slot (e.g., rotational about axes fixed relative to each other). The pressure plate preferably does not overlap with any aperture(s) in the feeder base. The paper shredder can also include a feeder door that substantially covers the entire feeder base and is pivoted at one end of the feeder door. The pressure plate can be mounted adjacent a bottom surface of the feeder door.

Abstract: A mobile crushing station for receiving and comminuting excavated material from earth moving vehicles provides at least one moveable skip connected to a chassis or frame for receiving material from vehicles, such as rear unloading vehicles like dump trucks. The skips are configured to move to dump material fed into the skips into a feed hopper. The feed hopper is positioned to guide material onto a feed conveyor, such as an inclined apron conveyor. The feed conveyor is configured to transport material to a feed orifice of a crushing device, such as a sizer, a crusher, or a crushing circuit. The crushing device is configured to crush material fed into the crushing device. The crushing device also has a discharge orifice that is positioned above a portion of a discharge conveyor. The mobile crushing station is moveable so it may be repositioned closer to an excavation site as excavation activities progress.

Abstract: A compact, self-contained, energy-efficient split-cane apparatus and method of use for separating pith, rind, and epidermis components of a sugarcane stalk, wherein sugarcane billets are driven over a splitter blade, dividing them longitudinally into two billet portions. The billet portions are processed individually by symmetrical processing paths. The pith is milled away from the rind while simultaneously flattening the rind. A deflector is adapted and positioned for directing the pith along a pith processing path, and further directing the rind along a rind processing path. The epidermis is removed from the rind, and each are subsequently shredded by at least one shredder disc, at which point an at least one perforated tumbling drum separates the shredded epidermis from the shredded rind. In addition, the apparatus is adjustable, enabling it to accommodate a wide range of sugarcane stalk thicknesses while maintaining its ability to efficiently separate each sugarcane component.

Abstract: The present invention is generally related to an apparatus having cutter elements for destroying articles such as paper sheets and a mechanism for advancing at least a top sheet from a stack of paper in a tray into the cutter elements for shredding. In one embodiment, the apparatus uses a rotatable feed roller to feed paper atop the stack to the cutter elements. The feed roller moves in an alternating manner between a lowered and raised position to engage and disengage the stack when advancing the paper therethrough. Alternatively, a rotatable cam may be used. In an embodiment, the apparatus uses a rotatable drum or rotatable belt with an internal vacuum to lift paper from the stack and feed into the shredder mechanism.
