Publication number: 20130008985Abstract: The rotational speed of the drum of an ore mill may be controlled variably over time. By rotating the drum during a first time interval at high speed, especially hard or dense particles are broken up by tumbling. At the same time, the discharge characteristics of the mill are adversely affected. In a subsequent second time interval, the drum is rotated at a slower speed, and the material is discharged more effectively, whereas the tumbling movement inside the mill is not achieved. The combination of said different modes of operation within short time periods in continuous operation may improve both the comminution as a result of a tumbling motion of the material and also the discharge of the ground material. By regulating the rotational speed with different target values within short time windows, different requirements for the movement behavior of the material to be ground and for the discharge characteristics of the ground material can be simultaneously optimised.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2011Publication date: January 10, 2013Inventors: Harald Held, Michael Metzger, Florian Steinke

Patent number: 7669792Abstract: An improvement is provided for controlling the temperature of recycled asphalt product being processed in an indirectly heated recycled asphalt product heater, and the temperature of component parts of the heater itself, as the recycled asphalt product progresses through the heater and is heated by heat transferred from gases at an elevated temperature passed through the heater. Temperature sensors are placed at strategic locations within the heater and provide temperature information to a central processor arranged to receive information pertaining to temperature from the temperature sensors and to process the information and generate control signals. A controller arrangement controls the temperature of the heated gases entering a heat exchange arrangement within the heater in response to the control signals such that the temperature of the recycled asphalt product and the temperature of component parts of the heater are maintained within a desired predetermined range of temperature.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2008Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Assignee: Rap Process Machinery, L.L.C.Inventors: Russell W. Publication number: 20100044481Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a machine for recycling, compressing plastic waste for the purposes of minimizing space, maximizing manageability and other wise improving the logistics of recycling plastic bottles. The claimed invention is a powered machine that will receive, recycle, and containerize plastics bottles. The plastic autogenetic recycling machine would resemble a vending machine in size and would be placed in public locations for public use. The recycling machine will use technology to determine the size and weight of a bottle to ensure the bottle is empty. Such technology as multiple photo sensor eyes, ultrasonic sensors, liquid level sensors, automated digital identification (ADI) systems and voice powered technology is available to assist in the functionality of the plastic autogenetic recycling machine. The bottle will then go through a grinder, crushing or compressing system.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2008Publication date: February 25, 2010Inventor: Charles Eric Green

Publication number: 20100025509Abstract: An assembly has a bin level detection system having at least one sensor positioned to receive radiation reflected off any material deposited in a bin and to determine an intensity of the reflected radiation. The intensity corresponds to an amount or level of shredded material deposited in the bin. The system may detect radiation from one or more emitters, or, alternatively, detect ambient light entering the bin via a window. A level indicator system may also be provided to indicate the amount of material deposited in the bin, including if the bin is full. The assembly may comprise a shredder and a shredder housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2008Publication date: February 4, 2010Applicant: FELLOWES, INC.Inventors: Tai Hoon MATLIN, Michael D. Patent number: 7584911Abstract: The present invention includes an apparatus and method for processing solid waste products. The apparatus comprises a rotatably mounted cylindrical vessel having a first end, a second end and an interior surface, at least one end terminating in a hatch that may be opened to allow access to the interior of the vessel and sealably closed to allow pressurization of the vessel; a steam inlet for injecting stem disposed at one or both ends; a plurality of substantially straight blades protruding from the interior surface of the vessel, and each the blade extending substantially the entire length of the vessel, so as to be capable of transporting waste material from the bottom of the vessel toward the top of the vessel, and releasing the waste material to fall to the bottom of the vessel. The apparatus also includes one or more actuators for moving the vessel between a position wherein the first end is higher than the second end and a position wherein the second end is higher than the first end.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2007Date of Patent: September 8, 2009Assignee: Estech, LLCInventors: Jan K. Patent number: 7568641Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining wear and tear in machines includes a method that determines a voltage draw and/or a current draw of a first subsystem of the machine during its operation, and wear and tear present in a second machine subsystem is determined based on the draw determined in the first subsystem. In one embodiment, a coal grinding machine includes a drive, a coal grinding mill driven by the drive, a device for determining an electrical draw of a current and/or voltage draw of the drive during operation, and a device for inferring wear and tear present in the coal grinding mill on the basis of voltage and/or current draw determined in the drive. The machine can include a device for inferring the quality or type of material (like coal) being processed in the mill based on the draw determined in the drive.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2004Date of Patent: August 4, 2009Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Markus Dreimann, Wolfgang Fick, Uwe Gerk

Patent number: 7556212Abstract: An auto electricity breaker includes a breaker switch, an energy storage device driven by a cutting blade ensemble, a variable gear set driven by the energy storage device, a trigger driven by the variable gear set to turn on the breaker switch, and a starting switch for restoring the trigger. The energy storage device stores energy concurrently during the operation of the cutting blade ensemble. When the cutting blade ensemble stops operation, the variable gear set is driven to operate. When the variable gear set operates to a certain extent, the trigger takes action to turn on the breaker switch. The breaker switch breaks the electrical power of the shredder to stop its operation. The user can turn on the starting switch for restoring the trigger and thus turn on the power of the shredder again for normal operation. The breaker then resumes its auto electricity breaker function.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2008Date of Patent: July 7, 2009Assignee: Michilin Prosperity Co., Ltd.Inventor: Simon Huang
