Abstract: A medium winding device for winding a continuous medium ejected from an image forming device includes a winding member that is rotatably arranged around which the medium is wound, an actuator that rotates the winding member to wind the medium on the winding member in a rolled state, a tension generation member that applies a tension to the medium being carried to the winding member, a roll diameter obtaining unit that obtains a roll diameter of the medium in the rolled state, wherein the roll diameter changes depending on an amount of the medium wound on the winding member, and a tension adjustment unit that adjusts the tension of the medium applied by the tension generation member depending on the roll diameter obtained by the roll diameter obtaining unit.
Abstract: A dispensing system is provided including a housing having a cavity, a first opening and a second opening, the openings being in communication with the cavity. First and second rollers are positioned within the cavity. A strip extends through the openings. The strip has a first end that is wound about the first roller and a second end that is wound about the second roller. A plurality of instrument covers are removably positioned on the strip. Methods of use and kits are disclosed.

Abstract: A medium winder, includes: a winding roller that winds a medium discharged from an image formation apparatus into a roll shape; first and second rollers that guide the medium to the winding roller; a dancer roller provided between the first and second rollers in the medium conveyance direction and movable upwardly and downwardly while contacting from above the medium between the first and second rollers; a winding driver that rotates the winding roller; a detector that detects the dancer roller; a dancer roller position recognition portion that recognizes the position of the dancer roller based on a detection result by the detector; and a winding drive controller that controls the winding driver. In an operation of unwinding the medium, the winding drive controller moves the dancer roller up and down by reducing or increasing the unwinding velocity of the medium based on a position of the dancer roller.
Abstract: An off-loom take-up for winding a cloth roll from woven cloth coming from a loom which includes a frame and a pair of spaced take-up rollers carried by the frame, at least one of the take-up rollers is a driven take up roller. A drive motor with an output shaft drives the driven take-up roller, and a motor controller is provided for controlling the speed of the output shaft of the drive motor. A pivotal dancer roll assembly is carried by the frame and includes a pivotal dancer roll under which the cloth travels from the loom to the cloth take-up roll. A voltage sensor responsive to the movement of the pivotal dancer roll outputs a plurality of voltage signals correlated to a plurality of different pivotal positions of the dancer roll. An electronic limit processor is provided for receiving the voltage signals, the processor processing the voltage signals to generate a control signal which is output to the motor controller for controlling the drive motor.
Abstract: A beam let-off apparatus capable of adjusting the tension of a plurality of filaments as they are removed from a beam through the controlled movement of a pivoting arm directed by the tension of the unwinding filaments, comprises a frame, a driven roll, 1-3 idler rolls on the frame and a dancer roll mounted on pivoting arms mounted on the frame wherein the filaments pass under and around the dancer roll through a defined wrap angle is provided.
