Patent number: 9646285Abstract: A method for manufacturing a group of packaging media includes generating a sequence of unique codes, marking a series of packaging media with said unique codes, wherein said sequence is maintained in said series, and creating two or more sub-series of packaging media from said series by registering a first unique code marked on a first packaging media, entering an ordered number, creating said sub-series based on said ordered number, registering a last unique code, calculating an expected number based on a difference between said first and last unique code, and accepting said sub-series if a difference between said expected number and said ordered number is within a pre-defined tolerance.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2014Date of Patent: May 9, 2017Assignee: KEZZLER ASInventor: Magnar Løken

Patent number: 7712698Abstract: An apparatus for forming a wound roll of discrete overlapping sheets of web from a supply of continuous web. The web preferably is passed around a nip roller that steers the web onto the surface of a take-up core. A knife assembly including a knife blade extended from a knife holder is driven by a traversing mechanism across the width of the web to cut the wound web on the core into discrete sheets, the extended height of the knife blade being preferably the exact thickness of the web. In transverse cutting by the knife of the web wound on the take-up core, the knife holder travels on the outer surface of the web, thus assuring that the knife blade extends just to the outer surface of the next inner convolution of web, thereby cutting the continuous web into sheets without damaging previously wound web convolutions.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2007Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: Seratek, LLCInventors: Frank C. Patent number: 6814329Abstract: A production managing method for production of motion picture photo film is provided. At first, film web is slitted to produce continuous photo film having a predetermined width. Production managing information is written to an RFID (radio frequency identification) tag, and includes a roll number and slitting number, which are related to the film web and the continuous photo film. The continuous photo film is cut to produce motion picture photo film. The production managing information is stored in association with the motion picture photo film. The motion picture photo film is checked. If the motion picture photo film has a defect, the production managing information may be referred to for detecting a portion of the film web or the continuous photo film from which the defect derives. Other motion picture photo films with a defect will be traced.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2002Date of Patent: November 9, 2004Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ryoji Ebisawa, Hiroshi Seikai
