Abstract: A hanging apparatus is provided that facilitates the attachment of a medical instrument to a support structure. The mechanism includes a generally longitudinal, telescoping assembly that extends outward from the back of the medical instrument and positions a rotatable arm to serve as one face of a clamp, opposing the back of the medical instrument as the second face of the clamp. The mechanism assembly includes a cylindrical shaft that extends outward against the tension force of a spring from a housing component of the assembly. A cam mechanism within the hanging apparatus allows for locking and tightening of the clamp against the support structure after closure of the clamp under the influence of the tensioning spring.

Abstract: The invention relates to a holding element for fastening equipment elements to a supporting rail with a rail head having an essentially elliptical cross-sectional outer contour which is fastened to an inner supporting structure of a fuselage cell of an aircraft. The holding element has, inter alia, two resilient and pivotable clamping arms which, when “clamped on”, bear against the rail head and thereby bring about an initial fixing of the holding element on the supporting rail. The holding element can still be displaced longitudinally in this state. If the holding element is pressed further upward onto the supporting rail counter to the resilient action of two silicone buffers, a plug-in pin latches together with a spring clip and, by means of an upwardly moving locking frame, the locking of the clamping arms takes place at the same time, and therefore the clamping arms are secured against an intentional expansion in this “locked state”.

Abstract: The disclosed bracket has bottom and side walls configured to define an open top channel sized to removably receive with limited side clearance a toll transducer until resting against the bottom wall. An opening or break in one of the side walls exposes the operative face of the transducer. A tab formed off a bracket wall is used to secure the bracket to a vehicle, typically a motorcycle, with the operative face of the transponder positioned forwardly. The positioned transponder can sense a toll charging signal from an authorizing toll collecting transmitter. A successful signal connection with a cash rich transponder will thus provide payment of the needed vehicle toll. The vehicle operator need not hold or handle the transponder during toll payments, making this arrangement particularly advantageous for use on motorcycles, where two hand motorcycle operations might be preferred.

Abstract: A connecting device includes a fixture having a through slot, a block having a compartment connected to and in communication with the through slot, a neck, a hooking base extending from the neck, and a controller moveably mounted in the compartment and including a first engaging portion extending out of the through slot and being operable to move into the through slot. A connecting body is releasably mounted to the fixture and including a first end and a second end, a first groove and a second groove. When the connecting body is joined with the fixture, the hooking base is received in the first groove and the neck is received in the second groove and the first engaging portion of the controller protrudes on the first end of the connecting body for secure and stable engagement therebetween.

Abstract: A fastening means for a patient monitor, comprising a clamp member to be fastened to a supporting structure, a base member for supporting the patient monitor, the clamp member comprising two legs with free ends and a slot between the two legs, and a tightening means between the two legs for fastening the clamp member against the support surface placed between the two legs. The slot is wider at the bottom end than at the area between the free leg ends, and the fastening means is an electrically non-conductive element between the patient monitor and the supporting structure.

Abstract: The disclosure teaches a seating component device for removable installation in a pickup truck. The device includes a first bracket removeably attached to a first side panel of a pickup truck bed and a first cross rail and a second cross rail attached to the bracket wherein each rail extends laterally across the truck bed. The rails connect to a second bracket removeably attached to a second side panel of a pickup truck bed. The device includes two foldable chairs hingeably mounted to the second rail, and a table mounted between the two chairs. An umbrella may be mounted to the table.

Abstract: A swivel assembly for a tire comprises a clamp assembly adapted to be secured to a header tube, a swivel first member suspended from the clamp to pivot either parallel to or perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the header tube, a swivel second member which is suspended from the swivel first member to pivot 90° relative to the pivotal motion of the swivel first member, and a swivel third member which can rotate about the swivel second member. The swivel first member is pivotally mounted to the clamp via an upper pivot pin and the second swivel member is pivotally mounted to the swivel first member by a second lower pivot pin. The center-to-center distance between the upper and lower pivot pins is preferably less than about 3?. Additionally, the lower pivot pin can have a diameter that is less than the diameter of the upper pivot pin.

Abstract: A bedside flashlight cradle for supporting a flashlight from the side of a bed frame for ready access. The cradle includes a grasper end for connection to the bed frame, a middle section, and a cradle. The grasper end may attach to the bed frame without fastener, for example, by sliding over the vertical side wall of the bed frame. The middle section may cant backward in order to support the flashlight flush with the edge of the bed frame. The cradle may be provided in spaced apart pairs to support the flash light or in other configurations such as an integral unit that has sufficient width to support a flashlight or an integral unit that has a single grasper end of sufficient width with a pair of spaced-apart cradles.

Abstract: A hanger device adapted for mounting over an elongated rod member to suspend and hang a sheet of material therefrom, the hanger device comprising: (a) a body potion of a springable resilient material having a generally circular configuration and having an open portion sufficient in size to encircle a portion of the rod member when the hanger is coupled over the rod member and wherein the body portion has a first end, a top circular portion and a second end; (b) an ornamental decorative body has an ornamental exterior and the back has a recessed area where the second end of the body portion is fitted; whereby the first end of the body portion of the hanger is passed through an opening in the sheet material and the hanger device is positioned onto the rod member allowing the sheet material to be held in place and drape from the rod member.

Abstract: The universal mounting for a vehicle rear view mirror has a mounting bracket which is attached to the mirror on one side and has an engaging surface for engaging a mirror arm on the opposite side; a clamp holds the mirror arm against the engaging surface. The engaging surface is an open recess with two parallel, opposing end walls, and base that extends between the two end walls. The base forms in perpendicular to the end walls. In the middle of the base is a V-shaped recess. The engaging surface is designed to hold mirror arms that different cross sectional shape, such as, a polygon or a circle.

Abstract: Non-architectural posts and beams of the kind used as cubicle backbone structures are now used to support open racks as skeletons for hanging diverse user-selected panels. The open racks have upright standards joined by spaced-apart transverse rails. A pair of brackets join an open rack to a beam. Each bracket has a beam gripping face and a rack gripping face. The rack gripping face has clefts that engage spaced-apart rails and have mass relief for light weight. Panels are freely hung on the rails and may be selected from whiteboards, bulletin boards, shelving, book cases and window panels for user personalization.

Abstract: An attachment device comprises a metal part obtained by cutting and folding a metal plate or sheet, and shaped as a rider designed to be fitted astride a metal support in the form of a beam or a bar. The metal part comprises a U-shaped flange having two side faces forming a jaw equipped with a series of spigots staggered along the top arms and with a pair of flexible teeth acting as springs at the ends of the bottom arms. The holding strength is enhanced, and the two flexible teeth coming into contact against the bottom face of the support enables several thicknesses of the support to be managed.

Abstract: A conversion bracket for mounting a pegboard display hook on an alternate display structure includes a first mounting plate and a second mounting plate movably coupled to the first mounting plate so as to permit the conversion bracket to be guided over and positioned on the alternate display structure. The first mounting plate has at least one first mounting opening and the second mounting plate has at least one second mounting opening for receiving the mounting structure of the display hook. Each of the first mounting plate and the second mounting plate defines at least one cavity configured to receive a portion of the alternate display structure. The first mounting plate may include a pair of first mounting plates that are joined together by an integral arm extending therebetween, or alternatively, are independently rotatable relative to the second mounting plate.

The apparatus comprises two separate pieces of plastic that are attached to one another, with one of the pieces of plastic designed to be attached to a post supporting an automobile headrest and the other piece of plastic designed for placement of a listening device. The listening device most ideally used is a pair of headphones.

Abstract: A rail system includes a cap rail defining a slot. Within the slot may be positioned expansion brackets that permit the cap rail to be mounted to a wall or a post. The expansion bracket is configured to engage an end of a fixture to position and secure the fixture within the slot. The expansion bracket defines a cable way for wires extending to or from the fixture. Other expansion brackets may be mounted within the slot to position and secure ends of fixtures when the mounting expansion brackets are not correctly positioned with respect to the end of the fixture. A rail system includes a pair of rails extending between a pair of posts. An in-fill panel is positioned within slots of each rail and extends between the rails. Expansion brackets within the slots engage the panel.

Abstract: A tool suspension device has a base bracket and multiple clamps. The base bracket has a baseboard and a rail bracket. The rail bracket is formed securely on the baseboard and has a rail and two longitudinal grooves. The rail has multiple detents formed in a front surface of the rail. The clamps are slidably mounted on the rail in pairs. Each clamp has two hooks and an arm. The hooks are respectively mounted slidably in the longitudinal grooves of the rail. The arm is formed on and protrudes out from the hooks and has a jaw recess, a mounting recess and a boss. The mounting recess is formed in the arm and corresponds to one of the detents in the rail. The boss is mounted in the mounting recess and engages the corresponding detent.

Abstract: A device for suspending equipment such as a lighting fixture or public address speaker from a ceiling mounted track (5) used to suspend a movable partition and including an extruded rail (4) defining a channel having a longitudinal slot opening (8) between flanges (9) projecting inwardly from opposite lateral walls(6) of the rail. The device comprises a threaded stem (13) capped by an enlarged head (14) passes through the slot opening (8) and is engaged by a lug (17) which cooperates with the head to forcibly bear against or capture one or more of the flanges. In an alternate embodiment of the invention the axial movement of the lug along the stem and the rotational movement of the head in reference to the slot are accurately limited for ease of alignment. The device can be quickly loosened to allow horizontal adjustment of the suspended structure along the rail.

Abstract: A portable blow dryer holder for assisting a user to employ an existing blow dryer while simultaneously practicing grooming procedures with both hands includes a plurality of coextensively shaped rectilinear support arms with top and bottom ends, a rectilinear bar, a rectilinear male portion, and a plurality of rectilinear casings. The holder further includes a plurality of coextensively shaped hooks, a mechanism for securing the existing blow dryer within the apparatus during operating conditions, and a rectilinear beam with axially opposed ends.

Abstract: One of the greatest frustrations in the kitchen for a person with limited hand mobility is the task of holding the body of a jar while removing the lid. The present invention solves this problem by allowing the handicapped person's body to become the third hand and hold the bottle in a rigid grip. The new device clips over the front of any standard kitchen drawer and traps the jar between a V shaped vertical support and the front of the counter top. The jar is held rigid when the user presses their body against the drawer. Now both hands are free to remove the jar lid by any common means.

The apparatus provides stable and practical support for placing, holding, storing and providing convenient access to food, drink, gear and supplies useful or necessary to hunters or observers utilizing a tree-mounted observation stand. The invention includes a retractable framework which incorporates a flexible panel having geometrically specific compartments for holding a variety of objects. The design of the invention allows the apparatus to securely store and hold heavy objects such as binoculars, ammunition, food and beverages and provides accessibility to such objects with minimal bodily movement.

Abstract: A wall mounting monitor bracket comprises a sliding base means, at least a movable arm means, and at least a connection means. The movable arm means is hung on the sliding base means via one end, and connected to the connection means via the other end. The other end of the connection means is attached to a first monitor. By adjusting the movable arm means and the connection means, the first monitor can be firmly and easily adjusted to different angles.

Abstract: A hanger assembly including an adjustable bar and a fixture box for rapidly installing and centering an electrical fixture over a hole in a ceiling. The adjustable bar includes an elongated tubular member, a threaded rod rotatably connected to the tubular member, joist engaging members on each end of the bar, and a fastening arrangement for securing the fixture box with respect to the adjustable bar. The adjustable bar can be adjusted to a shortened configuration to allow easy passage through a hole in a ceiling and the tubular member then rotated to force the joist engaging members into secure contact with the joists. The fastening arrangement permits loosening and readjustment of the hanger assembly to enable centering the fixture box above the hole.

Abstract: A positioning apparatus for a shift control device for a bicycle transmission comprises a movable member having a positioning element, a positioning member having a positioning element structured to engage the positioning element of the movable member, and a biasing member that biases the positioning member towards an engaged position wherein the positioning element of the positioning member engages the positioning element of the movable member. The positioning member moves toward and away from a plane of movement of the movable member. A releasing member is disposed between the movable member and the positioning member, wherein the releasing member moves between an initial position and an operating position. The releasing member allows the positioning member to be in the engaged position when the releasing member is in the initial position, and the positioning member moves to the disengaged position when the releasing member moves to the operating position.

More particularly, an upper rear frame is provided, located under the fuel tank, with a band stay for mounting to the body frame in a bottom wall of the fuel tank. The band stay and the metallic tank mounting pieces are connected together through a band member to fix the fuel tank to the body frame.

The meter is then fitted with a meter cover. A pressure contact portion extends downwardly from a trailing end of the meter support portion. A rubber cushion mounted to the pressure contact portion is pressed up against a receiver member fixed to a side of the top bracket. Support stiffness is thereby enhanced and vibration-proof support is thereby provided.

The base member may be generally about the same size as the platform to which the item is mounted.

Abstract: A caddy is provided for supporting a weapon such as a rifle, gun, pistol, cross bow, or long bow while hunting. The caddy serves as an adjustable cradle for supporting the weapon while aiming at a target and a safety device for transporting the weapon. The caddy may be mounted to any suitable support structure such as a tree stand, tree, hunting blind, fence, all terrain vehicle, wheelchair, or the like. In a particular embodiment, two or more caddies may be mounted on a tree stand to safely secure a weapon during set up in a tree. Each caddy may contain a safety device, such as a detachable rubber strap, for securing a weapon. When the safety device is removed, each caddy may be used as a cradle to support a weapon while aiming at a target, and the cradle may be adjusted horizontally, vertically, and/or pivotally.

The connecting seat is pressable to compress the resilient member and cause the ball to disengage from the spherical upper wall section of the sleeve, allowing the connecting seat to move along the cutout of the sleeve and allowing the connecting seat to turn to a desired orientation relative to the tubular member.

The accessory mounting device fits over the top of a mounting pole for a traffic light assembly; due to an enlarged, gripping, lower portion with a mounting cylinder on the top thereof forming the accessory mounting device. The accessory mounting device of this invention supports a desired accessory on a traffic light assembly in a secure fashion, with minimal adverse effect on the traffic light assembly.

Abstract: An adjustable bimini bracket is for use in connection with a boat having a railing tubular member on either side of the boat, and a bimini having strut tubular members. Left and right side plates are generally parallel and spaced apart. A transverse plate extends between the side plates. Ridges are disposed intermediate the transverse plate and the end. The side plates have a pair of collinear holes therethrough adjacent each end. The bimini bracket will slidingly engage the tubular member between the side plates. A bolt and a hand knob engage the first holes. The hand knob will be tightened, clamping the tubular member between the side plates, thereby preventing the bimini bracket from sliding on the tubular member. A second bolt and a nut engage the second holes for pivotal fastening of a strut tubular member to the bimini bracket, and for fastening a tie-down. The side plates taper upward in thickness from one end to the ridges. A plurality of ribs reinforces the side plates.

Abstract: A central hub includes a plate and a sleeve attached to the plate and adapted to receive a sprinkler head. The sleeve may be a telescoping sleeve. By providing a central hub with the plate and sleeve, the central hub provides increased stability and versatility to the sprinkler head. The plate provides additional stability and support to the sleeve, and thus the sprinkler head, rendering the combination better able to operate effectively when high fluid pressures are utilized. The central hub is generally attached to a support structure by some mechanism, such as a leg. The addition of the plate adds versatility by increasing the number and variety of legs that can be used to attach the central hub to the support structure.

Abstract: A hanging shoe rack for supporting shoes in an angular manner. A pair of side frame members having an elongate body section. A plurality of support arms project outwardly and downwardly from each main body section. Pairs of retaining bars are positioned between said frame members and are aligned in a plane forming an acute angle with respect to vertical, to thereby support thereon shoes in an angular manner, with the shoes directed downwardly toward a vertical surface upon which the shoe rack is placed. The support arms, upon opposite side frames, traverse side sections of the shoes to form a barrier against lateral movement of the shoes. Unique socket structure, into which the retaining bars are positioned, permit easy assembly of the shoe rack.
