  • Patent number: 6832745
Abstract: A cup holder and convenience tray assembly for a motor vehicle employs one or more support brackets that mount onto vertical columns at the front of the passenger compartment. The brackets have a clamp member with an vertical aperture of oval cross section which has a major axis oriented in the fore-and-aft direction. Each bracket also has a vertical socket positioned on the clamp member aligned along the major axis of the bracket aperture. The cup holder or similar accessory has a vertical pin that fits removably into the socket of the support bracket. Rubber petals help secure the beverage container and suppress rattling, and an embossed rubber member in the base breaks capillary seals. The convenience tray has a flat support shelf and a pin or pair of pins extend downward from a rear portion of the flat support shelf, each pin fitting into the socket of a respective support bracket. The accessories may also take the form of a vase, a cellular phone stand, or a picture frame.

Abstract: A removable wire caddy 10 that is constructed for use on a step ladder 12, or which may be used independently of a ladder, to hold and dispense spools of wire 7. The wire caddy comprises a support bar 23 intermediately connected to a pair of spacer bars 25, 26, the spacer bars 25, 26 being intermediately connected to a base leg 24 of a U-shaped frame 14. A pair of parallel side legs 16, 17 extend from the opposing ends of the base leg 24 of the U-shaped frame 14, and a rectilinear spool support rod 18 is releasably supported between said parallel side legs 16, 17. The configuration of the spacer bars 25, 26, support bar 23 and base leg 24 form two c-shaped recesses 27, 28 that straddle the side rails 29, 30 of the ladder 12. The spacer bars 25, 26 rest on the step 31 of a ladder 12, the support bar 23 engages behind the side rails 29, 30 of the ladder 12 and the U-shaped frame 14 supports the spools of wire 7 out in front of the ladder 12.

  • Patent number: 6488097
Abstract: A central hub includes a plate and a sleeve attached to the plate and adapted to receive a sprinkler head. The sleeve may be a telescoping sleeve. By providing a central hub with the plate and sleeve, the central hub provides increased stability and versatility to the sprinkler head. The plate provides additional stability and support to the sleeve, and thus the sprinkler head, rendering the combination better able to operate effectively when high fluid pressures are utilized. The central hub is generally attached to a support structure by some mechanism, such as a leg. The addition of the plate adds versatility by increasing the number and variety of legs that can be used to attach the central hub to the support structure.

Abstract: Detachable bottle and food holding subtrays and clamps for attaching onto the raised ridge edges on trays used in highchairs, strollers, booster chairs, and activity chairs. The clamps can be a single component having a curved upper flange for fitting about the raised ridge of the existing tray, and an upper bent flange having an end which abuts against a lower surface of the tray. Dual cylindrical bottle subtray holders and flat planar food subtray holders can snap onto the clamp leaving the bottles and food in the subtrays at a lower level than that of the tray out of reach of a sitting child. Another clamp has a general C-shape with either a screwable post or spring biased post locking the clamp to the raised edge of the existing tray. Another clamp has plural clip portions for attaching the subtray holders.

  • Patent number: 6386495
Abstract: The cable apparatus is a simple device which clamps to a metal tee bar of a hung ceiling. This enables any person pulling wire or cable through that ceiling to do so quickly and easily without the hassle of the wire binding on the metal tee bars. It will be a time saver for electricians, telephone wire and cable installers. The device will be made of durable rounded plastic with the clamping section made of metal. The cable apparatus will be clamped to one corner of the tee bar ceiling attaching to at least one main runner on one side for a sturdy connection. It most likely will be placed as close as possible to the sourse of power. The cable to be installed can be placed on the floor, or otherwise, and the end of the cable extended over the rounded apparatus. Installers can then pull the wire through the ceiling with ease, thus eliminating the problem of binding and damaging the metal tee bars.
