Abstract: An adhesive holder for holding objects comprises an adhesive layer, an object holder, an adapter with a contact surface and a counter element with a counter surface. The counter surface of the counter element is positionable at a distance from the contact surface of the adapter in order to enclose a section of a structural element. The adhesive layer can be applied onto the contact surface of the adapter or onto the counter surface of the counter element. The adhesive holder according to the invention makes it possible to introduce a force into a structural element by exerting compressive stress and shearing stress only such that the adhesive connection is much more durable and the adhesive holder can be subjected to higher loads than in the state of the art.

Abstract: A modular device mounting platform apparatus having interchangeable jaw members for accommodating different devices. The device mounting platform apparatus includes a frame member capable of being mounted, by example and without limitation, in a vehicle and having a device mounting surface facing generally upward. A telescoping clamp member is slidably interconnected to frame member along a first direction. A biasing mechanism is coupled between frame and clamp members for urging a jaw member of the clamp member along first direction away from the frame member. A plurality of different jaw members are interchangeably coupleable to the frame and clamp members in an opposing relationship across the device mounting surface of the frame.

A self-locking retention wireform may be coupled to the wireform housing. The self-locking retention wireform may include a locked arrangement, with the locked arrangement including a pre-loaded spring force secured by at least one locking mechanism of the self-locking retention wireform. The self-locking retention wireform may also include an unlocked arrangement, with the unlocked arrangement operable to secure the downlight component within the downlight fixture.

Abstract: This invention relates to a retaining mechanism adapted for securing a data storage device having sides formed with a plurality of mounting holes. The retaining mechanism includes a securing structure and a retainer. The securing structure includes a wall body, an accommodating hole formed through the wall body, and a pair of elastic arms extending from the wall body into the accommodating hole. Each elastic arm has a fixed end connected to the corresponding inner surface of the accommodating hole and a free end extending inclined and downwardly toward a bottom of the accommodating hole. The retainer has one end engaging one of the mounting holes in the data storage device and the other end pressed by the elastic arms, and is secured in the securing structure. The retaining mechanism can be used as a snap-in bracket or a frame for quick replacement of the data storage device.

Abstract: An optical mount is used for mounting an optical element, such as a beam splitter or a mirror, to a housing. The optical mount includes a pair of optical element retainer clamps that secure a first side of the optical element at respective first securement points on one of the major surfaces of the optical element, and also engage a first edge. A whiffletree retainer clamp secures a second side of the optical element at a second securement point on the one of its major surfaces. The whiffletree retainer clamp couples a whiffletree retainer to the housing, with the whiffletree retainer engaging a second edge along the second side of the device. The whiffletree retainer is positionally adjustable, for example able to pivot. Pivot pads may be used in at least some of the engagements to secure the optical element. The pivot pads may be segments of ball bearings.

The adjustable scuba tank holding device stabilizes the tank to provide easy donning or doffing of the scuba BCD/tank. As a result, the safety of a scuba diver on a water craft is significantly increased.

The clip is attached to wood with a screw or a nail or attached to metal or glass with a glue, epoxy or double sided adhesive tape.

Abstract: A system for displaying a strand of lights on a residence or building using an elongated member which attaches to a standard gutter or an eave of the building. The member can be made of metal and has a number of spaced apart hooks for securing a portion of the strand of lights. The system can include a plurality of vertically spaced clips located on a downspout or other structure of the building which secure a portion of the strand of lights or an electric wire such as an extension cord. Additionally, a mesh gutter guard can be utilized with the system and attached to the elongated member. The guard spans the width of the gutter and can be tucked under the drip edge of the roof or under shingles.

In one embodiment, the spring clip retention system includes a captive feature and a spring clip. The spring clip includes opposing retainer arms and a base portion, which extends between the opposing retainer arms and which is received within the channel. The spring clip deflects outward when the component is inserted between the opposing retainer arms. The base portion abuts the undersides of the opposing ledges when the spring clip is deflected outward by insertion of the component to prevent disengagement of the base portion from the captive feature in a direction substantially normal to the longitudinal axis of the channel.

Abstract: A system and apparatus are disclosed including PV modules having a frame allowing quick and easy assembling of the PV modules into a PV array in a sturdy and durable manner. In examples of the present technology, the PV modules may have a grooved frame where the groove is provided at an angle with respect to a planar surface of the modules. Various couplings may engage within the groove to assemble the PV modules into the PV array with a pivot-fit connection. Further examples of the present technology operate with PV modules having frames without grooves, or with PV modules where the frame is omitted altogether.

Abstract: A wall panel system includes at least one wall panel, each edge of the panel having a flange. At least one flange, and preferably two opposing flanges, have at least one slot therein. Each slot is mated with a clip having two extensions laterally spaced from one another, one of said extensions having a latch member protruding in a direction toward the other of said extensions, such that the clip is secured to the flange by virtue of the latch member mating with the slot. The clip may then be attached to a building surface or intermediary mounting apparatus by a fastener to secure the wall panel thereto.

Also disclosed are methods of assembling and installing weather protection systems. Weather protection systems of this invention provide fabric to cover a structural element; the fabric is connected to the structure via a clip. A clip of is invention may include features such as fastening points, anchor points, and engaging members; a clip may also introduce a desirable point of flexibility into a system of this invention. Other features of weather protection systems of this invention may include resin and straps.

In one example embodiment, a clip includes a strip portion, a first attachment arm extending from the strip portion, and a second attachment arm extending from the strip portion. A barb leg is disposed at an angle relative to the strip portion and includes a first leg end and a second leg end opposite the first leg end. The barb leg is connected at the first leg end to the second attachment arm, and the second leg end is disposed towards and spaced apart from the strip portion. Abstract: System for supporting an evaporable getter, which can be installed in any type of solar power receiving tube and which is mounted using a method that is much more automated than that used until now. Abstract: A clip for holding an object on a supporting member comprises a holding clamp and an attaching clamp. The holding clamp has a pair of clamping members with oppositely bowed gripping portions and inwardly arched handles. The oppositely bowed gripping portions form together, when engaged, jaws for holding an object such as a cigar. The jaws are connected together for pivotal movement to cooperate with each other for clamping action upon actuation of their handles. A spring, normally biasing the clamping members towards a closed position is looped around the post with its ends locked against the handles.
