One of the flaps serves as an attachment means to secure the holder to a desired structural support. The holder may serve as a holder of a variety of objects such as, for example, cans, bottles, cups, boxes, packages, and tools. The holder may be provided with a feature which allows one or more holders to be used in conjunction with each other.

At least two latching fingers are resiliently held apart from the head section on opposite shank section sides which spread outward toward the head section. At free ends the latching fingers have latching surfaces that rest against a supporting part underside when the mounting clip is inserted in the aperture. The shank section has on one side which extends perpendicular to the sides having the latching fingers, a contact surface that is supported on the aperture inner edge, and has on the side opposite the contact surface an elastically resilient rib or tongue that is supported with a preload against the aperture inner edge after the mounting clip is placed in the aperture.

    Abstract: A clamp is disclosed for attaching solar panel grids to standing seam roof structures. The clamp may comprise a pair of opposing clamp halves having a plurality of inter-engageable projections and recesses. One or more fasteners engage the halves to draw the halves together. At one end of the clamp, a first set of recesses on the first clamp half may receive a first set of projections on the second half. At an opposite end of the clamp a second set of recesses on the first clamp half may receive a second set of projections on the second half. In the loosened condition, the first set of recesses may be engaged in the first set of recesses to act as a detent, while the second set of projections may be spaced a sufficient distance away from the second set of recesses to enable the clamp to be slid down onto the vertical seam portion of a standing seam roof. Tightening the fasteners then causes the second set of projections to deform the seam portion into the second set of recesses, fixing the clamp to the seam.

The clip includes a semi-cylindrical wall, two flaps and two hinges for pivotal hinging of each flap to a respective one of the walls. The clip has a closed position in which the flaps have come towards each other to form with the wall a bearing for the journal, and an open position in which the flaps are separated for freeing and insertion of the journal from/into the receiving space. The passage from one position to the other is actuated by the actuator by pressing the journal on the wall.
