The anti-noise spring chair effectively solves a problem that noise is generated when a spring chair is used.

It also allows the sensors to be used for surveillance during vehicle travel.     Abstract: A land vehicle seat assembly for absorbing explosive shocks is mounted on e vehicle's floor. The assembly has an anti-friction pad on the floor. A base plate on the pad swings around a pin fixed to the floor at the front of the plate. Horizontal shock absorbers at either side of the plate deceleratingly retard swinging of the plate. Stops at the sides of the plate limit plate swing. The assembly includes a pair of upright rails fixed to the plate and a seat slidable on the rails. A light duty unit such as a pneumatic spring or a shock absorber connects to the plate and seat. A heavy duty shock absorber, responsive only to shocks above a certain power, is connected to the plate. The heavy duty shock absorber can absorb shocks an order of magnitude greater than does the light duty unit.

    Abstract: Adapter bracket mechanisms for securing various roll-up signs to a sign stand. The bracket mechanisms are positioned vertically upright from the base of a sign stand. The adapter bracket mechanisms hold the lower end of the vertical cross brace of the roll-up sign. The mechanisms include a U-shaped channel and either a slide bar or pivoting lever arm member for enclosing the cross brace within the channel. A threaded turn-lock member securely holds the sign in the adapter bracket mechanism. If desired, a protector member can be used to help hold the vertical cross brace in the bracket mechanism and protect the cross brace from possible damage. Another embodiment utilizes a threaded knob to wedge the vertical cross brace in the channel.

    Abstract: A counterbalance apparatus (10) for moving the work surface (100B) of a work station (100) is described. Preferably, the apparatus includes first and inner tubular members (12 and 20), a spring (70) and a cam follower (50). The first member is mounted to the panel (100A) adjacent the work station. The inner member is mounted with the top end (20A) adjacent the underside of the work surface and the bottom end (20B) extending into the top end (12A) of the first member. The sidewalls (12C and 20C) of the first and inner members have first and inner cam grooves (16 and 26), respectively. A dampener (30) is preferably mounted within the inner member. A threaded rod 36 is mounted on the top end (32A) of the body (32) of the dampener and has an adjustment head (36B) which extends through the work surface. The cam follower having rollers (56 and 58) is mounted at the bottom end (34A) of the piston rod (34) of the dampener such that the rollers extend into the first and inner cam grooves, respectively.

    Abstract: A mount for a compressor or the like which sits on a base includes a top surface which is securable to the base. The top surface defines a well having a floor. An opening is formed in the bottom of the floor and a shaft extends from beneath the well floor to above the upper surface. The shaft includes a lower flange positioned below the well floor and an upper flange positioned above the top surface. A spring is positioned between said well floor and the top flange to absorb vibrations and any resulting shock produced by the compressor. A pair of upwardly extending generally perpendicular walls are provided on the upper surface to prevent the spring from engaging the upper surface or deflecting excessively. The walls and the upper flange are sized such that when the shaft moves with respect to the well, the upper flange will contact the wall before the spring contacts the upper surface or deflects excessively.

    Abstract: A structureborne noise isolator employs a two axis system whereby a noise generating platform is coupled to an inner frame by a first pair of diametrically positioned noise isolators, the inner frame being coupled to an outer frame by a second pair of diametrically positioned noise isolators. At least one noise isolator comprising a coil spring shrink fitted at one end to an inner housing and at the other end to a cover. The inner housing is inserted into an outer housing with a damping compound between and potted to the inner and outer housings. Additional damping compound is bonded to the base of the outer housing separating the base of the outer housing from the base of the inner housing. The cover, having damping compound bonded thereto, is coupled to the outer housing. A hub, positioned adjacent to the damping compound on the cover, is coupled to the inner housing.

The longitudinal axes of the straps are oriented at right angles to one another, and each end of each strap is connected by two springs to opposite ends of the other strap. Four springs thus span the gap between the straps and each spring is oriented at a 45.degree. angle with respect to the longitudinal axes of the straps.

By means of the suitable arrangement of sliding elements with low friction (T1-T3), the mutual rotation between the two foot parts (5a,5b) is ensured.Thanks to this construction, the seat surface can be swiveled in a tumbling manner in such a way that every point of said seat surface moves on an imaginary spherical surface and thanks to the mentioned elastic restoring force, the seat part always returns automatically to its initial position.

The sign has a diamond shape or a square shape and one or more flaps are secured along the central diagonal of the sign. The flaps are adapted to be releasably fastened to either of two opposite corners of the sign and have messages on both sides. When the flaps are secured in one corner, a first message is presented and when the flaps are secured in the other corner, a second message is presented. A pair of cross-braces hold the sign in a taut planar configuration. The sign is also adapted to be collapsed into a small, compact package for transport and storage. One embodiment of the sign has two or more flaps thus allowing three or more different messages to be presented. Another embodiment has an additional cross-brace allowing the sign to be used to present either diamond or square-shaped messages.
