Abstract: A bayonet-connection-undoing device includes a projection configured for attachment to a hand so as to extend therefrom for depressing a pin to undo a bayonet connection. The device may have a finger ring to which the projection is attached, in which case the attachment to the hand can be made by wearing the ring on the hand, optionally the ring being disposed inside a hand glove, with the projection emerging from the glove. Alternatively or in addition, the device may further include sections of a pipe cleaner, the connection, and the pin which is configured for mutually fixing one of the sections to another. In this case, the depressing is down into a position at which the pin is retracted out of the connection and maintained, without need for the depressing, in a contracted state by relative movement of the sections.

The hot cast metal heats adjoining surfaces of the mold body. As the cooling metal forms a solid shell, the surrounding sand particle and wax mixture are heated sufficiently to melt or soften the wax incorporated on or between sand particles. Abstract: A mold (form) in which an endotracheal tube, having a stylette therein, is received so as to form the overall configuration of the endotracheal tube is disclosed. The mold has a recess in the surface thereof to receive the endotracheal tube with a stylette therein. The recess has a curve therein adjacent one end of the mold to receive the distal end of the endotracheal tube. The recess in the opposite end of the mold has a bend therein to receive the proximal end of the endotracheal tube. The recess in the intermediate portion of the mold is substantially straight and interconnects the curved end and the oppositely disposed bent end of the recess. The stylette is fabricated from a thin metallic malleable rod which is bendable, and thus configurable, to retain the overall configuration of the endotracheal tube after being formed and removed from the mold.

Abstract: A broadside (100) for the broadside of a funnel mold for the casting of metal. Known broadsides of this kind have at least one groove-shaped cooling channel (110) in the backside (R) of the broadside. Adjacent the cooling channel (110) on the backside of the broadside, recesses (A1, . . . , A5) are provided as well as filler elements (140-1, . . . , -5) for the at least partial sealing of the recesses. In order to constructively simplify the broadside in view of the adjustment of a generally constant flow rate of a cooling medium through the cooling channel, it is proposed to design the recesses (A1, . . . , A5) in such a way, that they cross the cooling channel (110) diagonally to its longitudinal direction. Moreover, the recesses (A1, . . .

Abstract: A cushion body is provided with a core material formed by a melamine resin foam body, and a surface layer material formed by a polyurethane resin foam body in which an expandable graphite is dispersed, and covering a periphery of the core material. A through hole extending along a thickness direction of the cushion body is formed at a predetermined position of the core material. A surface layer material fills the through hole, and the core material and the surface layer material are integrally formed. The cushion body increases a lightweight property of the cushion body by the core material formed by the melamine resin foam body, increases a fire retardant property of the cushion body by the expandable graphite, and increases cushioning and durability properties of the cushion body by the polyurethane resin foam body.

Abstract: A flow-through concrete edge forming system utilizes a body member that has perforations thereon. The body member is placed at an elevation transition area of a monolithic slab as an edge forming form. Once the slab is poured, a parge coating is placed on the outer surface of the body member such that the parge coating either binds to the outer surface or penetrates the body member through a series of perforations on the body member in order for the parge coating to bind with the concrete of the slab which has yet to set thereby producing a clean and solid finish of the outer surface of the slab at the transition area. The body member may have either a rectangular profile, a keyhole profile or may have the perforations on a series of inwardly directed deformations.

Abstract: A caplet having press-fit gelatin capsule shell halves includes one or more dimples formed in one or both ends of the caplet shells, which significantly reduces the thickness of the gelatin which thereby dissolves more quickly, allowing the medicament to be rapidly released into the body's digestive system. In one embodiment of the invention, the closing pins used to press the conventional capsule shell halves onto a core include a raised projection for debossing the dimples. As holding blocks of a press-fit machine move to encapsulate a caplet, closing pins form compressed dimples in at least one or preferably both ends of the gelatin capsule shell as the shells are applied to the core.
