Abstract: Privacy systems for a fence include a plurality of elongated privacy inserts positioned in at least one locking member having a plurality of locking tabs. The locking member is laterally inserted into the bottom of a chain link fence perpendicular to the privacy inserts. Apertures near the bottom edges of the front and rear sides of the privacy inserts engage the locking tabs thereby retaining the privacy inserts in alignment in the chain link fence. The locking tabs on front and rear support walls of the locking member are preferably laterally offset from each other.

Abstract: The present invention disclosed a metal fence post, comprising a first body provided with first left hook parts and first right hook parts that respectively positioned in front of the corresponding side wing, which is easy for installing the fence body between two fence posts directly with great convenience. Further more, owning to the second body for concealing the openings of the first left hook parts and the first right hook parts disposed in front of the first body, it is impossible to break the fence from the first left hook parts and the first right hook parts after the assembling of the first body and the second body, ensuring the safety and reliability of the fence post and the fence formed therefrom.

Advertising graphics are applied to the panel's exterior surface.

Abstract: A construction site fence assembly having a foot plate attached and a foot plate cover attachment base unit for separating the fence assembly from traffic and to guide traffic. The base unit includes a pad that is tapered away from the construction site fence panel foot, creating a gentle sloping ramp. The sloping ramp may also include a delineator mount to attach a traffic delineator thereon top of the sloping ramp.

The stabilizer being substantially greater in length than width for placement on a ground surface so that a weighted member, received thereupon the stabilizer together with the stabilizer, supports the elongated member in a substantially vertical, stationary position with respect to the ground surface. The universal post capable of use on a flat paved surface and on a flat unpaved surface with the addition of a spike. The universal post further usable as a movable fence.

Abstract: A barrier employed to keep children and/or pets in or out of certain areas in the house. The barrier includes four panels. Two main panels slide parallel to each other to lengthen or shorten the barrier as a whole. Two side panels stabilize the main panels and extend to the front and rear faces of the main panels to provide a self-supporting in-house barrier. Each of the panels includes a wooden frame. The wood lends less weight, less sharp edges, and more pleasing aesthetics than, for example, a metal gate. Legs are connected to the side panels to further stabilize the side panels and main panels.

Abstract: A wall assembly for mixing polluted air with less polluted air to provide moderately polluted air. The wall assembly includes means for dividing air from a roadway region into a lower part and an upper part, and means for permitting at least a portion of the upper part to flow substantially in one or more flow directions toward a leeward region. The wall assembly also includes means for directing the lower part substantially upwardly in a direction substantially transverse to the flow direction to intersect with the upper part and to mix the polluted air with the less polluted air, to provide the moderately polluted air proximal to the leeward area.

Abstract: A fence for tennis practice is disclosed that includes a plurality of rigid mesh panels (18) supported by upright posts (10), preferably with noise reduction strips (30, 32, 33) between them. The mesh panels are secured together side by side to form a substantially flat continuous surface and edges (26, 28) of adjacent panels are bent backwards to abut one another and a side surface of one of the upright posts. The edges are then secured together and to the posts by bolts (23) or the like. There is thus provided a surface having substantially uniformed rebound properties at whatever position it is struck by a tennis ball.

Abstract: A completely new system for a balcony fence (1) with an integrated wind shield of adjustable glazed panels (8) that can be raised and lowered. The balcony fence (1) with the integrated glazed panels (8) is provided with lamellar glass both in its lower fixed part and in the part that can be raised and lowered. The balcony fence (1) with the integrated glazed panels (8) as wind shield has been created with the idea in mind that it is to be easy to use, and that raising and lowering is to be possible with a single hand operation. It is possible for the user to determine the desired height of the glazed panel (8), due to counterweight balancing.

Abstract: A portable perimeter defense system is provided that is configured for preventing unwanted intrusions by vehicles or other heavy and fast-moving vehicles into a protected area while also providing requisite ballistic resistance capabilities. The defense system includes at least one individual modular barrier that can be readily transported to a point of use and can be secured in place without requiring heavy equipment or power sources, such as electricity. The modular barrier includes a front plate configured to provide ballistic protection in the direction of impact and to provide an impact surface capable of withstanding impact. The front plate extends upwardly from a base plate and a kick plate extends outwardly from the rear or aft side of the front plate. The front or fore edge of the base plate defines a vehicle engaging interface, the rear or aft edge of the base plate is arcuate and defines a ground engaging interface, and the rear or aft edge of the kick plate defines a ground engaging interface.

Abstract: A barrier device capable of rapid deployment and assembly to form a barrier wall. The barrier device comprises wheels so as to be easily transported. The barrier device further comprises connection plates so that adjacent barriers can be connected to one another quickly and without the use of any tools or other components. In one aspect, the invention is the barrier device comprising: base plate structure having a top surface and a bottom surface, the bottom surface of the base plate structure being in a first plane; a wall plate structure connected to and extending upward from the top surface of the base plate structure; and at least one wheel having a tread surface, the at least one wheel positioned so that the tread surface of the wheel is at or above the first plane and at least a portion of the tread surface extends beyond the rear edge of the base plate structure.

Each panel member has a substantially flat planar main body and two side edges that interconnect with adjacent panel members. After the panels are interlocked together, the interlocking components on the inner walls of the side edges are covered by the smooth outer walls of the side edges. The panels may be used to fabricate a fence.

Abstract: A safety barrier assembly for a balcony has posts for mounting at spaced positions on the balcony, each post having a foot member supported by the balcony floor and a head member biased against the balcony ceiling. The posts each have an adjustment mechanism enabling height adjustment, and a series of formations along the length of the post at which to mount a mesh screen so that the screen stretches from floor to ceiling and stretches around the posts. The mesh screen thereby defines a confined usable balcony space but presents a barrier to a balcony occupant other than through an access door.

The first and second panel groups are disposed substantially in parallel and face each other. Each of the first and second panel groups includes one or more sub-panel groups, each of which includes barrier panels arranged in line, intermediate members each disposed between adjacent barrier panels, rope tubes and ropes. Each barrier panel has a front face, a rear face and side faces and has channels passing through from one side face to another side face. The rope tubes are disposed in the channels, respectively, so that the rope tubes pass through the barrier panels and the intermediate members. The barrier panels and the intermediate members are connected by the ropes disposed in the rope tubes.

Abstract: A modular interlocking exterior wall system comprises one or more laminated panels formed of a paper product core sandwiched between two cementitious skins, two vertical posts having laterally extending flanges which interlock in vertical grooves formed in the sides of the panels, and a top rail having a downwardly opening top groove which receives and reinforces the horizontal top edge of the top panel, wherein bottom portions of the posts are anchored below ground. An optional bottom rail has an upwardly opening groove for receiving and supporting the bottom edge of the bottom panel, and laterally extending flanges of an optional mid rail are received in top and bottom grooves, respectively, of bottom and top panels to interlock and reinforce the panels.

Abstract: A barrier for preventing wildlife from entering a roadway is disclosed. The barrier includes a plate having a bottom edge adapted for piercing a ground surface, and at least one opening in the plate for connecting a corresponding at least one post to the ground so as to provide additional vertical support for the plate.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fence post with selectively covered, molded channels for use in modular fences. The post includes at least one longitudinally-extending channel that is covered by the exterior surface of a side of the fence post in such a way that channel is not visible from the exterior of the fence post until the covering portion of the fence post is cut away, in whole or in part, to make the channel accessible. The channel cover may be removed, in whole or in part, to allow longitudinal ends of pickets to be slid into the channel, either horizontally or vertically according to the selected portion of the channel cover that is removed. In this way, one fence post design may be used to stably support pickets connected on any of the sides of the post while leaving the other sides smooth in external appearance.

Abstract: A unitary stackable fence module having end assemblies and span members is provided for forming a perimeter fence having an inwardly inclined profile. A right angle end support has vertical and horizontal members and an angle arm, spaced from and attached to a side edge of the vertical and horizontal members adjacent the span members. The unique arrangement permits a plurality of fence modules to be stacked for transport or storage. Loops formed on the vertical members permit pivotal pinning of fence modules together to form perimeter fences of any polygonal shape.

Abstract: A method of mixing polluted air with less polluted air to provide moderately polluted air. The method includes dividing air from a roadway region into a lower part and an upper part, and permitting at least a portion of the upper part to flow substantially in one or more flow directions toward a leeward region. The method also includes directing the lower part substantially upwardly in a direction substantially transverse to the flow direction to intersect with the upper part and to mix the polluted air with the less polluted air, to provide the moderately polluted air proximal to the leeward area.

Abstract: Clamps are provided that are securable to a panel for use in panel type fences, balustrades, barriers and the like. The clamps comprise separable first and second clamping means, which are adapted to in use press against opposing faces of the panel, and which are movable into engagement with each other, preferably by sliding movement, and adapted to thereafter resist separation from each other by friction between abutting surfaces of the clamping means. The sliding movement is preferred to be in a direction at an acute angle to the panel surface so that engagement of the two clamping means and achievement of clamping occur simultaneously. The clamps allow assembly without requiring the use of bolts or screws to achieve a clamping effect.

Each barrier board comprises a retractable leg stand which may pivot to three different positions and a handle with a grip for easy transport. In a preferred embodiment and manner of use of the present invention, at least two barrier boards are slidably connected via a pair of receivers and fittings located on the sides of each barrier board thereby creating a wall assembly. The Snow Plow Barrier Systems may be positioned in front of a home owner's driveway and may serve to deflect snow from a passing snow plow from being pushed onto the home owner's driveway or other property.

Abstract: A safety gate system having an electronic display for seamless integration into a barrier with electronic display capabilities. The safety gate system includes a post and a gate hinged to the post. The gate face and post carry electronic display modules which appear when the gate is closed, as continuous with and seamlessly integrated into the display of the barrier. Preferably, the hinges are four-bar hinges, most preferably two sets of paired four-bar hinges. The safety gate also includes a lower chase or sill which allows both signal wiring and power to pass under the gate. Braced rear legs compensate for the cantilever forces of the gates when open. A latch, preferably an electromagnetic latch, auto-releases in response to a pre-set sufficient force level, such as arising crowd surge forces, being applied to the gate, as well as being remotely releasable.

Abstract: A self-supporting pet barrier comprising a front panel and two side panels, each panel having floor-contacting surfaces preferably to which a friction reducing substance has been applied is disclosed. The front and side panels preferably are attached so that the side panels can be positioned from generally perpendicularly to the front panel in use to a folded position adjacent said front panel for storage or travel. A generally triangular stabilizing leg may protrude forward from the plane of the front panel and can be attached in either the side panel or front panel.

Abstract: A fence covering system includes a frame configured and dimensioned to cover a portion of an existing fence. A panel is connected to the frame to provide a visual effect. A connector secures the frame on a portion of the fence, the connector providing an attachment position for the frame.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a temporary fencing panel 10 comprising a frame 20 that defines an opening 29 and a mesh 30. The mesh 30 is located within the opening 29 of the frame 20 and is attached to the frame 20. This results in a panel that is safer to handle than conventional temporary fencing panels because there are no mesh ends that are loose or protrude from the frame on which a person may injure themselves.

The support member is a visually impenetrable beam whose sectional configuration defines an open W-shaped or M-shaped profile.

Abstract: Fence columns, fences including such columns, and related methods of fence assembly and disassembly are disclosed. A column for a column and panel fence may include an elongated member, column faces, and a cross-piece. The elongated member may have a first end and a second end, and the first end may be secured to a footing. A first column face and an opposing second column face may form at least one channel therebetween sized and configured to receive an end portion of at least one fence panel. The cross-piece may have a first end coupled to the first column face, a second end coupled to the second column face and an intermediate portion coupled to the second end of the elongated member. Additionally, the cross-piece and the elongated member may be held in tension by the footing, the first column face and the second column face.

Abstract: A modular landscaping and gardening fence system having a plurality of panels which fasten together by a rod which also serves to stake the fence into the ground, is disclosed. The panels include first and second edges with alternating hooked and open sections such that the two opposing edges of separate panels may be joined together via a rod. The fence system may be readily erected, altered and removed. The fence system may be easily expanded or contracted by changing the number of panels used.

The post preferably has at least one longitudinal channel extending a length of the post, the channel being narrower at an opening of the channel than at an interior of the channel. The bracket preferably has an engagement member slidingly engaged with the channel of the post, and a rail receptacle housing adapted to support a rail. A method of assembling a fence comprising the steps of providing a post, inserting an end of a rail into a rail receptacle housing of a bracket, sliding an engagement member of the bracket into engagement with a dovetail-shaped channel extending the length of the post, and attaching the bracket to the post at a desired position.

Abstract: A modular wire partition is disclosed for separating an interior space from an exterior space. The partition comprises at least two laterally spaced vertical posts defining a gap therebetween. Each post has an inner surface facing the interior space, an outer surface facing the exterior space, and a side surface facing the gap. A wire mesh panel is configured and dimensioned to span the gap. The panel is attached to the inner post surfaces and comprises a parallel array of horizontal wires joined to an intersecting parallel array of vertical wires, with the vertical wires having intermediate sections projecting from adjacent horizontal wires. The intermediate sections are aligned horizontally to define a channel shaped reinforcing rib.

Abstract: A kit and a connector are provided for constructing a fence or barrier. The kit can include upper and lower rails formed with bar-connecting holes distributed along their lengths. First and second bar sections together with the rails can be used to form a fence panel. The first bar sections are mounted between and connect the upper and lower rails and extend between aligned pairs of holes in the upper and lower rails. The second bar sections are connectable to the tops of the first bar sections and each is mountable on the upper rail so as to extend upwardly from one of the holes in this rail. Upper connecting mechanisms join the first bar sections to the second bar sections. Lower connecting mechanisms join the first bar sections to the lower rail at the holes formed therein.

Abstract: The present invention relates to fence and railing, and methods of forming the same, having improved attachment means for panels. In one aspect, the present invention provides a transparent fence or rail assembly. The transparent fence or rail assembly includes a transparent panel having a first edge and a second edge. The transparent fence or rail assembly also includes a first frame member extending along the first edge of the transparent panel, the first frame member being fixedly attached to the transparent panel with a first adhesive, and a second frame member extending along the second edge of the transparent panel, the second frame member being fixedly attached to the transparent panel with a second adhesive, wherein the transparent fence or rail assembly requires no additional attachment feature for maintaining the position of the transparent panel with respect to the first frame member and second frame member.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cart corral assembly of the type employed by stores, such as grocery stores, to encourage the consumer to temporarily store grocery carts in the parking lot before bringing the cart within the store structure. The cart corral includes a first set of two spaced apart vertical rails in a base support extended between these rails. The base support supports the vertical rails in an upright position. At least two spaced apart horizontal rails are provided and are removably engaged with the vertical rails in a position abut above the base support. The horizontal rails form an obtuse angle with the vertical rails. A second set of two spaced apart vertical rails are provided opposite the first set of vertical rails and are removably engaged with the horizontal rails. A second base support extends between the second set of vertical rails and supports the vertical rails in an upright position.
