Abstract: A system for treating a linear wound on a patient has a closing dressing bolster for placing on the patient's epidermis over the linear wound, a sealing subsystem for providing a seal over the closing dressing bolster and the patient, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for delivering reduced pressure to the sealing subsystem. The sealing subsystem and reduced pressure subsystem are operable to deliver reduced pressure to the closing dressing bolster. The closing dressing bolster is operable under reduced pressure to develop a inward closing. The closing dressing bolster may include one or more closing members on each side of a center wound area to create the inward closing when under reduced pressure. A compressive force may also be developed. Other systems and methods are presented.

The RFID tag preferably is externally covered by plastic material in the preform as molded, and in the container as blow molded, so that the RFID tag is not externally exposed in the preform or the container.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a venturi tube 10? having a certain fluid flow direction is provided. The method provides a first core member 11 in a mold. The first core member has a periphery and an end 21 of a certain size. A second core member 17 is provided in the mold upstream of the first core member. The second core member has a periphery and an end 22 with a size that is less than the certain size. At least a portion of the end of the second core member is disposed adjacent to at least a portion of the end of the first core member such that a step is defined between the first and second core members. Material is molded about the peripheries of the first and second core members such that the peripheries define a stepped fluid flow surface of a venturi tube, and so that any resulting flash occurs only in the certain flow direction.

Abstract: A pressure adjustment device applicable in particular, but not exclusively, to stretch blow moulding machines. More particularly, the invention relates to a pressure adjustment device for stretch blow moulding machines of containers made of plastic material. The device includes an opening for dispensing a blowing fluid, a hollow body having a first inlet opening for a high pressure fluid and a second inlet opening for a piloting fluid. A shutter is slidably arranged within the hollow body, the shutter being held in a closed position by elastic means, wherein the adjustable opening of the shutter occurs, in contrast with the elastic means, by introducing—through said second inlet opening—the piloting fluid into a piloting chamber arranged between the hollow body the shutter, and wherein the piloting fluid has a controlled and adjustable pressure.

Abstract: A method for the at least two-stage temperature control of preforms (28) made from a thermoplastic material. In this method, the preforms (28) are brought, immediately prior to a blow molding or a stretch blow molding process, to a process-specifically distributed softening temperature (T3) according to a predefineable thermal profile, with said softening temperature (T3) being the temperature required for blow molding or stretch blow molding at least the preform's (28) body section located below the thread section (29) and/or a collar area located therebelow. In addition, the preforms (28) are first preheated to a near uniform temperature, particularly with a largely homogeneous temperature distribution (T2). The invention furthermore includes a heating device (10) for performing the method.
