Patent number: 10166656Abstract: A hold-down clamping apparatus comprising a hold-down clamp with body having a top lip and pair of guide legs disposed between a central screw in the body and a support having holes in vertical alignment with the legs and the screw for securing and holding down a sheet material for processing. The screw is threaded through the support screw hole as the legs are inserted within support holes until the top lips contacts the sheet material to hold down the material and to prevent twisting of the hold-down clamp. Supports with clamps may be fastened to tools or supports. In one embodiment, the support has a grid of holes for securing a plurality of materials with hold-down clamps. In another embodiment, the hold-down clamp comprises a top lip and a guide beam slotted in a support and secured.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2016Date of Patent: January 1, 2019Assignee: IMAGINE TF, LLCInventor: Brian E. Patent number: 9695848Abstract: A pinch weld clamp includes a clamp body and a channel formed in the body. The channel is configured to engage a flange or pinch weld on a vehicle. One or more set screws extend from an outer wall of the clamp body into the channel to clamp onto the pinch weld. A connecting screw is connected to the clamp body to attach a device, such as a running board, to the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2015Date of Patent: July 4, 2017Assignee: Owens Products, Inc.Inventor: Michael Ray Thompson

Patent number: 8601651Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, a low-profile clamping system generally includes first and second elongate supports engageable with an edge portion of a sheet material for supporting at least part of the sheet material against bending. A fastener can releasably couple the first and second elongate supports to the edge portion of the sheet material. The first and second elongate supports define a channel for receiving the edge portion of the sheet material into the channel when supporting the sheet material. In another exemplary embodiment, an apparatus for transporting a sheet material generally includes a frame, at least one wheel coupled to the frame for allowing rolling movement of the frame, and an adjustable vice coupled to the frame for securing a sheet material in the vice on the frame.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2009Date of Patent: December 10, 2013Assignee: Hallmark Stone CompanyInventor: Frederick Joseph Christen

Patent number: 6361304Abstract: An adjustable clamp frame for securing a work piece in a thermo-forming machine includes a pair of opposed, transverse cross members, each of which are adjustable along a continuum toward and away from one another. Each transverse cross member includes at least one clamping member for securing a work piece to the frame by clamping the respective edges thereof. The clamp frame also includes a pair of opposed, longitudinal cross members, each of which are adjustable along a continuum toward and away from one another. Each longitudinal cross member includes at least one clamping member for securing a work piece to the frame by clamping the respective edges thereof. The clamping members for each of the respective pair of opposed transverse and longitudinal cross members are adapted to be disposed on a common plane when the workpiece is secured in said frame.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1999Date of Patent: March 26, 2002Inventor: Albert O. Patent number: 4828241Abstract: This is an improvement on a C-type clamp. Its features are: on one end or both ends of a clamp body that has (1) multiple directioned connecting threaded holes; (2) attach many threaded bars that will be used to clamp a small cubic object which has several different surfaces; (3) a middle connecting bar that has several threaded bars can be jointed to two ends of a C-type clamp body which may expand outward or expand inward, enabling to clamp far aparted supporting points or to clamp object that has variety of crooked clamping points. One step forward, both ends of a C-type clamp body has position adjustable receiving bars in a zigzag shape and one or several threaded bars can be inserted into it; or on one end or both two ends of a C-type clamp, several connecting bars are jointed together in a terrace shape which can be expanded like a fan and adjust the position of each connecting bar. These several threaded bars can clamp several points on the different vertical surfaces of a circle.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1987Date of Patent: May 9, 1989Inventor: Tai-Her Yang

Patent number: 4238951Abstract: An apparatus and method for straightening damaged unibody-type vehicles whereby a lightweight rectangular frame is attached at its four corners to the longitudinal pinch weld which runs along both sides of the vehicle body. The frame members are rigidly connected to each other but telescopingly adjustable in length to accommodate different size vehicles and have pulling attachment points at the corners of the frame allowing pulling or pushing in any direction.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1978Date of Patent: December 16, 1980Assignee: Grainger Bros., Inc.Inventors: James D.
