Having Three-dimensional Pattern Patents (Class 273/241)
  • Patent number: 10953313
Abstract: This three-dimensional (3D) gaming platform provides snap-together construction components and designs for building a variety of custom, multi-level game boards (grid-sets) on which players (one or more) can play a wide variety of included and extensible logic and strategy games. The invention includes sets of player pieces as well as custom “node” components that modify the behavior of spaces on the grid-set. Players may use additional grid-set construction parts and nodes to modify the physical board during play. The gaming platform enables an extensible variety of games as well as opportunities for further customizing grid-sets, game types, player pieces, 3D printable extensions, and virtual digital implementations.

  • Patent number: 10814213
Abstract: A game and method of playing the same is characterized by offensive strategy having an object of occupying a majority of designated goal space(s). The game comprises a board defined by spaces arranged, in part, as a grid. One or more of the spaces is visually distinguishable from the others as a goal space. Players may take turns in sequence placing a tile from their respective decks of such tiles on a space on the board. Tiles may comprise one or more movement indicators which enable a player to move tiles already occupying a space on the board into an adjacent unoccupied space, and further prevent a player from moving certain tiles already occupying a space on the board. When a game ending event occurs, the player whose tiles occupy the most goal spaces may be deemed the winner.

A particular finest resolution can be selected based on a suitable combination of intermediate grid apertures such as arbitrary combinations of aperture 3, aperture 4, and aperture 7 hexagons. Location identifiers can be uniquely assigned by generating child cells from a parent cell so that the generated child cells do not overlap child cells of other parent cells. One or more child blocks can be used at any resolution to avoid such overlap. For aperture three and aperture four hexagonal cells, blocks of four and three child cells, respectively, can be used to provide unique location identifiers.

A tube is mounted within the tower, and a number of pegs are mounted in the tower wall, one peg supporting a corresponding stair. The tube and pegs cooperate to transmit the rotational and vertical movement of the tower top to the collapsible stairs. The player picks a card and follows instructions printed on the card. During the game, certain cards instruct the players to rotate the tower top, causing openings in the outer wall of the tube to be located adjacent different combination of pegs, the combination being hidden and unknown to the players, such that the next vertical movement of the tower top and the tube results in an unknown combination of stairs to collapse.

  • Patent number: 7699317
Abstract: A hierarchical, multi-dimensional, strategy board game apparatus includes game boards having game spaces, posts for supporting the board members, and game pieces including a static piece, a pawn-like piece, a first promotion piece, and a second promotion piece. In playing the game, a base board is designated, along with a riser space, a promotion space, and a return space. Each player starts with a designated number of pieces, and takes turns to move their pieces in prescribed ways via the designated spaces as available. The players thereby attempt to attain higher levels for their pieces with respect to the boards, with means for promotion and demotion of the pieces and an in-hand ability to return them to play via the return space. The pieces may thus gain expanded movement capabilities for capturing other players' pieces and, ultimately, the static piece to win the game.
