Abstract: A target turner and associated components and methods. The target turner is configured to hold a target to be shot by a shooter. The target turner is configured to hold the target in a shooting orientation for being shot by the shooter and in a non-shooting orientation for hiding a face of the target from the user. A turning assembly of the target turner includes a crank wheel and two turning wheels. The crank wheel drives the first turning wheel for turning the target toward the non-shooting orientation and drives the second turning wheel for turning the target toward the shooting orientation. A target support of the target turner is configured to disconnect from the turning assembly to avoid damage to the turning assembly if outside force is applied to the target support.

Abstract: Provided is a target support stand having a base comprising a pair of leg units with body portions situated substantially parallel to each other. Each body portion includes a first pair of corresponding fastener openings. A socket plate has a socket notch extending to an edge thereof and a second pair of fastener openings corresponding in position with the first pairs of fastener openings in the body portions. A separable upright support member has a tab portion sized to be received by the socket notch. The socket plate being clamped between leg units of the base by fasteners extending through the first fastener openings in the body portions and the second fastener openings in the socket plate to define at least one socket for removably receiving the tab portion of the upright support member in the socket notch between body portions.

Abstract: A system and method for playing a pin based game with an impact resistant ball and process of forming an impact resistant ball are provided. The impact resistant ball has an increased resistance to damage caused to a ball by repeated impact with objects such as a game board and game pins thereby decreasing the frequency with which the ball must be replaced. The impact resistant ball also has utility to afford a larger segment of the population the ability to properly grip and throw the impact resistant ball by providing an increased length gripper able to accommodate a greater range of hand sizes. The impact resistant ball has further utility to automatically identify and transmit data including the impact of the ball with the game pins and ball metrics including speed, pressure and weight.

Abstract: The ballistic target system includes a suspended target plate configured to deflect incoming bullets and is adapted to absorb at least a portion of the force transferred by a bullet to the target plate upon impact. An example ballistic target system comprises: a target plate having a mounting bracket attached thereto; and a target stand from which the target plate is slidably suspended. The target stand comprises: a base adapted to rest on the ground, a post, and a target support bracket from which the target plate is slidably suspended by the mounting bracket. The target support bracket comprises a cap portion secured atop the post and an angled strut member that extends at a downward angle from the cap portion to define an incline. The target plate slides rearward and up the incline of the angled strut member when struck by a projectile.

Abstract: A method for determining whether a goal is achieved by a trajectory of a ball using a mobile computer device comprises capturing a sequence of video frames of the ball with a camera of the mobile computer device; detecting the ball in at least three of the video frames; computing a trajectory of the ball using the detections of the ball; detecting a goal image in at least one of the video frames; computing whether the trajectory of the ball achieves intersection or similar with a goal plane computed from the goal image according to a goal criterion.

Abstract: A quick change target system including a frame, a target mounted to the frame, and a retainer movable between a first position retaining the target within the frame and a second position permitting removal of the target from the frame. The target is formed from a plurality of individual members that have markings, which collectively define aiming points on the target.

Abstract: A booster circuit includes a charge pump circuit and a clock processing circuit. The clock processing circuit includes a first transistor of a first conductivity type, a second transistor of a second conductivity type, and a third transistor of a third conductivity type. The first and second transistors are connected in series between a high-voltage node and a low-voltage node, and gates of the first and second transistors are connected to each other. The third transistor is connected in parallel with the first transistor between the high-voltage node and an output terminal of the clock processing circuit that is connected to a node between the first transistor and the second transistor and to the charge pump circuit.

Abstract: An archery backstop includes a collapsible frame used to receive a front board and a rear board. The front board is formed from a medium density fiberboard while the rear board is formed from an extruded polystyrene insulation. The frame is collapsible about a pair of hinges formed on the frame, allowing the frame to be folded in half when transported. A pair of magnetic locks disposed on the frame maintains the backstop in a collapsed position, while a rotatable locking mechanism disposed on the frame maintains the frame in an open position during use. The frame further includes an adjustable hanger bar support to allow for various configurations and placements of a target to be attached to the backstop.

Abstract: A flying disc target which includes a frame having a plurality of adjustable legs and a support member having a plurality of hinges, each leg coupled to a hinge of the support member and a target member detachably coupled to the frame, the target member having a first surface and an opposing second surface, the target member includes at least one pocket extending from the first surface toward the second surface, wherein the pocket is configured to receive and store a flying disc.

Abstract: A target stand is disclosed and described. The target stand can include a first side member and a second side member. Each side member can have a base portion, and an upright portion extending from the base portion. The upright portion can have a lower engagement feature and an upper engagement feature. The target support can also include a lower transverse member and an upper transverse member. Each transverse member can have a main body portion with a target support portion for interfacing with a target support, and complimentary engagement features extending from opposite ends of the main body portion. The complimentary engagement features of the lower transverse member can be securable to the lower engagement features of the first and second side members to secure the lower transverse member to the first and second side members.

Abstract: Shooters must presently take their firearms out of their hands to then manually actuate a new target into shooting position. This Target Apparatus will allow the shooter to shine his laser light, infrared light, flashlight, or multi-spectrum light onto a Target Apparatus-mounted sensor that engages a drive means mounted upon the target frame that then forwards a new target into position without removing the firearm from its' shooting position. The unit also uses a unique target backing material that does not require targets to be made of rolls of coated or heavy material stock. The system can utilize rolls of cash register paper, cut sections of gift wrapping paper, hand towel rolls, or even paper towels as target materials without snagging and preventing the next target from being presented.

Abstract: A stationary target shooting system includes a main body having a horizontal member, a vertical member, and a base. The horizontal member is coupled to a first end of the vertical member. The base is coupled to a second end of the vertical member. At least one paper target holder is disposed on the horizontal member. At least one non-paper target holder depends from the horizontal member. The stationary target shooting system is portable and can be easily broken down and reassembled for use on a variety of surfaces. The stationary target shooting system may be adapted for target shooting with both firearms and archery.

Abstract: An adjustable target stand is provided. The adjustable target stand includes a support assembly having a cross member pivotably received by opposing first and second side plates, and at least one target support member carried by and projecting from the cross member. The adjustable target stand also includes a target orientation assembly including a handle coupled to the pivotable cross member, the handle having a handle aperture, and a plurality of apertures provided through the first side plate and radially extending a first distance from a first cross member receiving aperture provided in the first side plate, the plurality of apertures are each in alignment with the handle aperture such that the handle is pivotable between the plurality of apertures such that an angle retention member may engage the handle aperture with one of the plurality of apertures. A method of using an adjustable target stand is also provided.

Abstract: One embodiment of an articulated target stand having a base consisting of radially symmetrical legs extending out from a central hub wherein the legs are splayed, optimally forming a three point stance in the deployed position, or folded vertically about the axis of the central hub when in the collapsed position. Pivotally connected atop the base central hub is a three axis yoke gimbal assembly providing selectively rotatable adjustments about the axes. Pivotally connected atop the yoke gimbal assembly is a further assembly providing the means by which the operator can attach commonly available, expendable type targets and target support members. The articulated target stand formed by this embodiment provides a means by which the target can be positioned about four axis of adjustment with respect to the stand's base on a variety of terrains, for a variety of target presentations and is collapsible to an easy carry configuration.

Abstract: Disclosed is a shooting target in the form of a single sheet of wood or other material that is substantially flat and comprised of a body portion and a pointed portion at the bottom end. In many embodiments the body portion has a cut that extends most or all the way through the thickness of the material. The cut may be in any shape and may not connect one end of the cut to the other such that a small piece of material is left, creating the bridge. Two key elements to most embodiments of the invention herein are the point on the lower end and the cut that creates the bridge. The bridge is present in many embodiments, in other embodiments there is not a cut and the piece is one single piece in any shape with the point at its lower end.

Abstract: A frangible target suspension apparatus wherein the frangible targets are secured to one or more support cords by passing the support cord through apertures in the side edges of the frangible targets and using tension caused by the weight to keep the frangible targets in place on the support cord, or by securing with adhesive, such as when the support cord is a tape, or by knotting the support cord, or utilizing a fastener to secure the support cord to the frangible target. In an alternative embodiment, the frangible target engages a cover with side slots that is placed over the frangible target from the rear retaining the support cord in place within the side slots.

Abstract: The target according to the present disclosure is configured to indicate to the shooter whether the shot hit or missed the target. The target also provides the shooter feedback as to shot placement relative to particular locations on the target. This configuration is advantageous for many types of shooting and is especially advantageous in situations where immediate and consistent shot placement feedback is desire.

Abstract: A shooting practice target that includes a roll with an elongated sheet having multiple images. The sheet is movable across a shooting zone formed in a frame. The sheet is movable across the shooting zone to position each of the images for use as a target. A back support may be positioned behind (away from the user) the sheet to support and position the images for viewing by the user.

Abstract: This invention is directed toward a table game with, optionally, both an “air game” and a “ground game”. This invention relates to the general field of table games, and more specifically to a large table game, similar in size to a ping pong or pool table, playable by one or more people. The theory behind the invention is to combine an “air game” (such as ping pong) with a “ground game” (such as pool) and do so in a flexible format that allows a number of people to participate in the game. The game can be played in an active fashion, similar to Ping-Pong, or as more of a set-up and strategy game, as in pool. A unique paddle-shaped hitting device with a hockey-stick like projection on its bottom portion allows for a player to play both the air game and the ground game using the same hitting device.

Abstract: A target for hanging on a frame has a hanging member having a first elongated arm, a second arm extending from the first arm and a third arm extending from the second arm. The first and third arms are parallel to each other and the second arm is perpendicular to said first and third arms. The third arm is shorter than the first arm. The hanging member has a thickness. A target disk has an elongated slot wherein the hanging member is inserted into the slot. The third arm extends through the slot and the second arm is received within the slot.

Abstract: A collapsible, portable target shooting apparatus that is easily transported and constructed in the field, backyard, or other location for shooters to use for training and recreation. When collapsed, the apparatus lies generally flat. When expanded and assembled, portions of the apparatus comprise graphics for target shooting. A shelving system supports a variety of targets, including, but not limited to, three-dimensional targets such as fruit, cans, bottles, or any similar item. The apparatus may be made of cardboard, stiff paper, plastic, Kevlar, wood, metal, Styrofoam, or similar materials, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: A mounting clip in configured to hold a clay target having an inside edge, a front face, a first top edge and a second top edge. The mounting clip has an attachment clip configured to attach to the mounting clip to a hanger. A clamping clip is immediately adjacent to the attachment clip configured to hold and support the clay target. The mounting clip supports the clay target from the hanger to facilitate shooting at the clay target.

Abstract: A target stand includes a first base member, a second base member spaced apart from the first base member, and a brace member extending between the first base member and the second base member and coupling the first base member and the second base member together. The first base member, the second base member, and the brace member are physically discrete and easily separable components. The target stand is lightweight and easy to assemble/disassemble and transport.

Abstract: A multi-purpose reversible target includes a target body having a first side and a second side, a plurality of target areas printed on the first side of the target body, and a plurality of tabs integral with the target body and on the second side of the target body. A stand includes an elongated body having a top end and an opposite bottom end, the bottom end configured for insertion into ground and at least one holder comprising a first loop and a second operatively connected to the first loop to thereby allow for friction fit of an edge of signage between the first loop and the second loop.

Abstract: The new invention in the preferred embodiment depicts a highly portable Target Factory that is intended for use in the fire arms industry. The highly portable “Target Factory” invention includes two separate “Target Factory” elements, that are intentionally molded which is internally hollow. Each “Target Factory” assembly element contributes to the combined stability, energy absorption, high portability, easy setup, high visibility of selected target shapes and the sturdy presentation of said target shapes when the combined portable “Target Factory” is deployed where the terrain is uneven, soft, sandy, firm, stony or impenetrable. Each separate “Target Factory” element operate independently but unitarily as they are joined by pivotal “hinge” mechanisms located on either side of the “Target Factory”. The embodiment of the invention is environmentally sensitive; the entire invention is recyclable with no material that can shatter to the ground such as glass bottles, TV monitors and other such objects.

Abstract: An electronic moving target system and method, which users may aim and shoot various instruments at which can be configured to present rigid or flexible targets from a variety of different directions. The target system presents users with realistic moving targets which may be quickly and easily be replaced as needed. The moving target system is fully programmable by a user and may present a series of varying challenges to a marksman. The moving target system may include a target surface operatively connected to a control arm which is powered by a motor. The motor receives signals from a control box supplying instructions from a microcontroller.

Abstract: An archery target includes a clamping assembly having at least two conditions wherein a first condition applies compressing force to a target material and a second condition releases at least a portion of the compressing force from the target material such that arrow removal is easier. The clamping assembly allows the user of the target to readily change the clamping assembly between the two conditions. The clamping assembly may be manual, powered, or a combination of the two. The clamping assembly may include a mechanical lever, a winder, a crank, a hydraulic device, or a pneumatic device. The clamping compressing force may be applied from the top, bottom, or sides of the target material. In some configurations, a strap is disposed around the target material and is tightened and loosened to apply and release the compressing force from the target material.

Abstract: A multi-purpose reversible target includes a target body having a first side and a second side, a plurality of target areas printed on the first side of the target body, and a plurality of tabs integral with the target body and on the second side of the target body. This system includes a target mount device having a T-shaped mount body. The mount body has three mount holes defined on an underside of the mount body and each mount hole terminates at a solid wall portion provided by an underside of a top surface of the mount body. Three legs selectively attach to the mount body, one leg at each corresponding mount hole. At least one leg includes an adjustment mechanism for extending the length of the leg. A conventional target attaches to the mount device by a mechanism for suspending the target from the mount block coupled to the mount block.

Abstract: A portable archery target support having at least three legs that can be arranged asymmetrically, the legs being dowels or simple tubes; with a non-rigid target suspension feature and stabilizers to prevent the target from swinging or turning excessively after an arrow strike.

Abstract: A multi-purpose shooting target includes a target box with an inner space, a deceleration projectile stopping device and a double-faced target plate. A projectile collecting groove is disposed in the inner space at the lower side of the target box, and the double-faced target plate provides a combined blowgun/darts target plate. After a projectile pierces a target sheet, the momentum of the projectile is absorbed by the deceleration projectile stopping device. Finally, the projectile drops into the projectile collecting groove, providing highly efficient stopping and collecting of projectiles. A user can enjoy shooting safely, while avoiding risks associated with ricocheting projectiles. Since the face of the double-faced target plate can be changed quickly, it can be used as a shooting target structure for a toy gun, a blowgun target and a dartboard, allowing a shooting activity that is both safer, more diversified and amusing.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes various embodiments of shooting target assemblies and associated systems and methods of use and manufacture. One aspect of the disclosure is directed to shooting target assemblies configurable in an assembled arrangement and a stowed arrangement. Another aspect of the disclosure is directed to shooting target assemblies having a stabilizer for improving target stability during operation.

Abstract: A throwing disc, goal apparatus, and game are provided. A disc includes a central hub with blades projecting equiangularly from the hub. The blades are circumscribed by and joined to an outer perimeter ring that aids in throwing. The blades of the disc act as airfoils and impart unique flight characteristics to the disc. A goalpost is comprised of two vertical sections, joined by a horizontal cross-bar located above the midline of the vertical sections, and supported by a rectangular frame oriented perpendicularly to the vertical sections. A scoring pad is included. The game is played by tossing the disc and attempting to pass the disc while in flight between the vertical posts and above the horizontal cross-bar of the goalpost, and landing the disc on the scoring pad.

Abstract: Targets, a target range system, and methods for economical operation of a target range. A preferred method includes providing a target range site; providing a target resembling a conventional target in dimension and appearing, yet having a weight that is substantially less than the weight of the conventional target. The target has a plurality of interconnecting plates made of recyclable material and is devoid of hazards comprising munitions, fuels, and radioactive materials. The ingress and egress routes for the target are reduced as compared to routes for conventional targets and enable cost savings. The targets are also readily recycled, enabling additional economic advantage.

Abstract: A tiered beer pong device is provided. The tiered beer pong device may include multiple leveled platforms to support beer pong cups. The device may include a base with at least a first platform and a second platform. A baseplate defines a post opening receiving the support post and has a first orientation permitting movement of the baseplate along the length of the support post and a second orientation establishing a gripping relation with the support post. A spall plate defines a post opening receiving the support post and has a first orientation permitting movement of the spall plate along the length of the support post and a second orientation establishing a gripping relation of the spall plate with the support post. A target plate engages the baseplate and the spall plate and is secured by a locking member. A target base defines a receptacle receiving and supporting the support post and establishes a weight-forward condition that offsets the rearward forces of bullet impact.

Abstract: A target stand is disclosed that comprises a target frame supported on a shelf having a pair of legs mounted in spaced relation. The legs pivotal and adjustable between a storage position and a shooting position. The storage position having the target frame intermediate to and parallel to the legs. The shooting position having the legs in a generally non-parallel configuration to support the target frame in a predetermined shooting position. The target frame supporting a target either above or below the pivotal connection between the legs and the target frame. The legs adapted to be secured to the target frame thus resisting pivoting and adjusting to hold the legs in a non-symmetrical orientation to accommodate rough terrain.

A method of using an adjustable target stand is also provided.

Abstract: A target stand includes a target stand base and a target holder, together with a target mounted in the holder. The base has a cross member which is adjustably rotatably mounted, and the cross member has an upright member extending therefrom. The holder has a stem portion inserted into an open end of the upright portion of the base. A hand screw is used to secure the stem portion in the upright member. In this manner, the holder can be secured at any rotational angle relative to the upright member. Further, the upright member itself can be moved to any position by rotation of the cross member, which is likewise secured by a hand screw. Further, an uppermost portion of the target stand holder includes block carrying a transverse bar and allowing pivoting of the transverse bar. The transverse bar connects a pair of upright bars.

Abstract: A “indicating” projectile impact target, or group of such, that can be affixed to the front of an existing thin walled projectile impact target, where the indicating target(s) “actuate”, upon being struck by a projectile at one of the indicating target's bullseye locations, to leave a custom silhouette in the indicating target and the existing target, in order to indicate the bulls eye strike to the shooter.
