Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic connector, particularly for a motor vehicle windscreen wiper system. The connector is designed to be mounted on a wiper blade fitted with a perforated pipe carrying cleaning and de-icing fluid, and comprises at least one inlet coupling suitable for connection to a fluid feed, and at least one distributor provided with at least one outlet coupling designed to be connected to the perforated pipe. The connector also includes at least one internal path for carrying the fluid from the inlet coupling to the distributor. Thus, by means of the presence of the internal path through the connector, the inlet coupling can be positioned at various locations on the connector, without feeding directly into the distributor.

Abstract: A connector with a biocompatible fluid passageway and method for manufacturing thereof is described. The biocompatible connector may be used in an analytical instrument (AI) system as a union, an adapter, a tee, a cross, a manifold, a valve, or for other fittings or components. The connector has a reinforcement insert and a biocompatible molding covering portions of the reinforcement insert. The reinforcement insert has a first portion, a second portion, and a middle portion between the first portion and the second portion. The first and second portions have threaded sections and each have a plurality of non-threaded sections. For a given portion, the junction of the non-threaded sections forms a lip by which to prevent the molded material from flowing into the threaded sections. In certain embodiments, an interior web is used in the reinforcement insert to provide additional structural support.

Abstract: A method of installing a pipe fitting that includes providing a pipe fitting including an extended run portion having a length that is greater than a length of the opposing run portion of the pipe fitting, and removing a portion of a line of pipe to provide an opening. The extended run portion of the pipe fitting is slid over the first end of the line of pipe within the opening formed in the line of pipe. The pipe fitting may then be moved to a second position by sliding the opposing run portion of the pipe fitting over the second end of the line of pipe, while the extended run portion of the pipe fitting is still present over the first end of the line of pipe. The pipe fitting is fused to the first and second end of the line of pipe.

Abstract: A splitter divides an air/product mixture flow, delivered thereto in an air-powered distribution line, between a primary and a secondary distribution channel, which may be flow-coupled to a product hopper or a hose flow-coupled to another product hopper or another splitter. The air/product mixture enters the inlet of the splitter along a first flow path and exits a primary outlet, flow-coupled to the primary distribution channel, along a second flow path generally in-line with the first flow path. Air/product flow is exhausted by a secondary outlet, which is flow-coupled to the secondary distribution channel, at a sideward flow path relative to the first and second flow paths. The velocity flow vector along which the air/product mixture is exhausted from the secondary outlet is at an angle perpendicular to the velocity flow vector along which the air/product mixture is received by the inlet of the splitter.
