Nonmetallic Socket Patents (Class 29/898.05)
  • Patent number: 7895748
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of molding a resin coated bearing. When a molten resin is injected toward a substantially central portion of a disk space of forming dies from a sprue formed on an upper die, the molten resin is filled into a cavity through a film gate after the molten resin is led to the disk space from a pin gate, so that any weld is absent on a resin member, which covers an outer race, thus enabling uniformizing a coating member in resin strength and suppressing generation of crack on the coating member even at the time of high loading. Also, since the film gate formed on a whole peripheral edge of the disk space is formed from a lower die and an upper die, there is an advantage that after working suffices to take out a resin coated bearing from the both dies and to cut a runner in the disk space.

  • Patent number: 7823290
Abstract: Methods of machining a single piece hub with integral upper and lower female cones includes providing a single piece hub with upper and lower conical voids having respective narrow ends proximal each other and respective wide ends distal each other. Surfaces of the voids are machined using a tool provided from a single side of the hub that is dimensioned to fit through an opening defined by the interface between the narrow ends of the conical void. The tool can be moved parallel to a rotational axis for accessing conical surfaces of both voids and perpendicular to the rotational axis while contacting the surfaces so as to produce a final machined surface.

  • Patent number: 7080973
Abstract: A fan seat (30, 30?) includes a basis (31) with a vertical extending tubal portion (32) having a pair of flanges (33) integrally formed on opposite ends of an inner circumferential surface thereof, and a bearing set (34, 34?) located in the tubal portion and sandwiched between the flanges. The bearing set includes a tube (36) and a pair of bearings (38) firmly secured in opposite ends of the tube. A method for producing the fan seat includes the following steps: providing a mold (50) with a cavity (53), locating the bearing set in the cavity with a space (60) formed between the bearing set and the mold corresponding to the tubal portion, injecting molten material into the space, and cooling the molten material whereby the molten material congeals into the tubal portion and integrates with the tube.
