Abstract: Arrangement with a locking element for an imaginary mechanical locking arrangement, consisting of the locking element (2) and a locking hook (3) whose hooked part can be connected with the locking element to close the lock. The locking element (2) is part of a single-part or two-part elongated body (4) consisting of curved and/or straight sections. The locking element (2) is located in the recess (6) of a plastic body (5). The parts of the elongated body (4) lying beyond the locking element (2) are, for the most part, embedded in the plastic body (5), where the direction of at least one of these embedded sections is towards the interior of the plastic body (5).

  • Patent number: 7370891
Abstract: A latching mechanism for a carrying case includes a latch body pivotally attached to a top cover of the case, a trigger pivotally attached to the latch body, and an actuator that pivots about the same axis as the trigger. The trigger is pivotable between a latching position for keeping the latch body closed, and a release position to allow the case to be opened. The actuator is pivotable toward and away from a nominal actuator position in which a panel of the actuator assumes a predetermined alignment with the latch body. A torsion spring biases the trigger toward the latching position, and through trigger/actuator contact biases the actuator into the nominal position. The trigger can move toward the release position while the actuator is held in the nominal position, to maintain the selected alignment for a more natural, intuitive latching mechanism closure.

Abstract: A hood latch device for a vehicle comprises a base plate secured to a vehicle body. A striker is secured to a pivotal hood of the vehicle body. A primary latch plate and a locking plate are pivotally connected a rear surface of the base plate and engageable with the striker to permit the hood to have a locked full-close position and a released open position. A secondary latch plate is pivotally connected to a front surface of the base plate and engageable with the striker to permit the hood to have a slightly open position and the released open position. A first stopper is arranged to stop an excessive pivoting of the secondary latch plate by contacting a given part of the secondary latch plate. The first stopper is provided by bending an end portion of the base plate without producing an opening therethrough.

The security system comprises a locking member movable between a lock position to prevent the opening of the cover, and an unlock position to allow the opening of the cover. The invention also comprises an actuating device mounted to the tank trailer operatively connected to the locking member for moving it between the lock and the unlock positions. A sealing mechanism engages the actuating device when the locking member is in the lock position to prevent any movement of the locking member. The sealing mechanism comprises a breakable indicator which is broken upon disengagement from the actuating device, thereby indicating that the openable cover has been tampered with.
