  • Patent number: 7081697
Abstract: A stator assembly for a dynamoelectric machine in accordance with the present invention includes a generally cylindrically-shaped stator core having a plurality of core slots formed along the inner surface thereof and defined by a radial depth and wherein a stator coil is disposed. The plurality of core slots defines a plurality of teeth therebetween, which have caps along the inner surface of the stator core and are connected to the stator core by a yoke portion. The plurality of core slots is lined along respective inner surfaces by a plurality of insulation slot liners. The teeth caps include projections along an inner diameter of the plurality of core slots. The slot openings are delimited by the projections along the stator inner diameter. These projections are substantially equal to a width of the slot liners, and are such that the delimited slot openings are substantially equal to a width of a conductor wire to be inserted into the lined core slots.

Abstract: Provided is a multi-turn sequential segment joining stator coil capable of suppressing the differences in electromotive voltage between parallel circuits and of carrying a large current. Partial coils are accommodated in a plurality of continuous conductor accommodation positions of different slots. The partial coils accommodated in the same slot are separately connected in series to each other to produce parallel coils, and the produced parallel coils are connected in parallel with each other. This configuration enables the production of a sequential segment joining stator coil type electric rotating machine with a size-reduced head-side coil end.

Abstract: An armature coil for a rotary electric machinery includes a plurality of identical coil blocks each formed by a plurality of turns of and elongated conductor. Each of the coil blocks includes two groups of axial sections which are diametrically opposed to each other, and curved sections joining the two groups to each other at each axial end. The axial sections of one of the groups is disposed in an inner cylindrical layer while the axial sections of the other of the groups are disposed in an outer cylindrical layer which is coaxial with the inner cylindrical layer. The coil blocks are combined with each other by circumferentially shifting one coil block from another in such a maimer that the axial sections are arranged circumferentially along the inner and outer cylindrical layers, one next to another.

Abstract: A stator for a rotating electrical machine, such as a motor or generator, is wound with stator coils having non-slot-insertion segments that include a twisted segment that is twisted a predetermined number of degrees. The twisted segment is additionally bent at a predetermined angle relative to a reference plane. This combination of twist and bend reduces the likelihood of damage to the insulating coating on the stator coils, and increases the clearance between adjacent coils as compared to other stator designs. As a result, electrical interference between adjacent coils is minimized.

Abstract: A flat rotary electric generator includes at least one toroidal coil structure for cutting magnetic lines to induce a current and at least one disc-shaped magnetic pole structure oriented parallel to the helical coil structure. If multiple toroidal coil structures and disc-shaped magnetic coil structures are included, the toroidal coil structures and disc-shaped magnetic coil structures are arranged in alternating manner. The toroidal coil structure and disc-shaped magnetic pole structure are not provided with a permeable material. When either the toroidal coil structures or the at least one disc-shaped magnetic pole structure is rotated by an external force, the toroidal coil structure cuts the magnetic lines passing therethrough to generate an induced current.

Abstract: The present invention relates an electric rotating machine comprising a plurality of phase coils each composed of a plurality of partial coils each made by connecting segments each composed of an inside-slot conductor portion to be accommodated in each of slots of each of phase slot groups made in a stator core and an outside-slot conductor portion protruding from the slot. Of the plurality of partial coils constituting each of the phase coils, in each of the partial coils to be connected to an input/output terminal, its inside-slot conductor portion is accommodated in the slot other than end portions of the phase slot group in a circumferential direction of the stator core. This reduces the electric potential difference between the outside-slot conductor portion continuing thereinto and the outside-slot conductor portion of an adjacent phase coil, thereby improving the insulating performance.
