  • Patent number: 11172551
Abstract: An LED luminaire comprises LED arrays, a full-wave rectifier, an LED driving circuit, and electric current bypass circuit(s). The full-wave rectifier is coupled to an external power-line dimmer which is coupled to the AC mains and configured to convert a phase-cut line voltage into a first DC voltage. With the electric current bypass circuit(s) to partially provide a holding current path to cause the external power-line dimmer to sustain a dimming function, the LED driving circuit can provide a second DC voltage with various driving currents according to various input power levels to drive LED arrays without flickering. By adapting switching frequencies and a duty cycle, the LED driving circuit can regulate the second DC voltage to reach a voltage level equal to or greater than a forward voltage of the LED arrays no matter whether the first DC voltage is higher or lower than the second DC voltage.

Abstract: A LED bulb contains a dimming circuit, powered and controlled by an ON-OFF light switch. The quickly done, OFF-ON is converted to a DC binary signal for the Microcontroller Embedded Firmware. Then the Bulb is put into Dimming Mode and the Microcontroller Firmware outputs a continuously pulsed signal, to the LED current control IC to set the current. This is duplicated in the Warm White LEDs to vary their brightness. The percentage ON time of the pulse gives the percentage brightness of the LEDs. A variety of dimming and brightening cycles are displayed using Microcontroller Firmware. Then turning OFF the switch will lock in the dim point. It is saved in non-volatile Microcontroller Embedded EEPROM. When OFF then wait more than 2.0 seconds and turn ON and the Bulb and it is in Normal Mode and displays the last saved dim point and operates as a regular LED Bulb.

Abstract: A method and system for testing and improving a user's visual tracking skills and reaction time to a moving object includes simulating motion of an object by individually illuminating LEDs in longitudinal sequence along individually selectable paths having different positional approaches toward a target. A user activates a switch or interrupts a beam with the intent of terminating the sequence in time coincidence with illumination of a designated LED proximate the target. A microprocessor detects the time difference between illumination of the designated LED and termination of the sequence by the user as measure of the user's visual tracking and reaction time. In one embodiment the user is a baseball batter, the target is a home plate and the selectable paths are simulations of straight and breaking pitches.

Abstract: Lights sources may be installed in a facility without regard to their unique identifiers, which are necessary for a lighting control system to exercise control over the light sources. After installation, a graphical user interface (GUI) executed on a user's mobile device can facilitate the user's identification of the identifier of a particular light source located at a particular position. The GUI displays to the user a map of the facility, onto which the user can delineate the boundaries of a lighting area in which he intends to identify the location of light sources. The user then inputs into the GUI row and column dimensions for the lights positioned within the delineated lighting area. The GUI automatically generates and displays a plurality of selectable lighting positions arranged within the delineated area according to the selected dimensions, without the need for individual placement by the user.
