With Respect To Its Rotary Holder Patents (Class 33/634)
  • Patent number: 11543228
Abstract: A radial force device for a contour measuring instrument for measuring a contour of a shaft-shaped workpiece which can be rotated about an axis of rotation. The radial force device has a clamping body, a force introduction roller, at least one counter-roller and a coupling device. The clamping body is shaped for fitting radially around a workpiece portion, received in the contour measuring instrument, of the workpiece. The force introduction roller is designed to apply a mechanical radial force to the workpiece in order to apply a load to the workpiece, wherein the force introduction roller is mounted in a radially movable manner on the clamping body. The counter-roller is mounted in the clamping body and designed to support the workpiece during the application of the force. The coupling device is shaped for coupling the clamping body to the contour measuring instrument.

  • Patent number: 6575675
Abstract: The invention relates to a boring tool that includes a boring bar having a center axis which at a top portion of the bar is arranged to be connected to a machine tool, and which at a bottom portion of the bar along the center axis is slit into two legs. The two legs can be movable towards or away from each other, such as by means of an adjusting screw, for exact adjustment of the position of the cutting tool with relation to the center axis. The tool is arranged in such a way that a joint through bar is detachably attached to the bottom of each of the legs of the boring bar. This joint through bar extends essentially perpendicular to the slit and center axis, and enables a cutting tool to be provided at the end of the bar. Hereby an especially simple tool is obtained which can be adjusted extremely precisely for fine machining of holes.

  • Patent number: 5857812
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and device for detecting and/or compensating for static jointing and wear errors in the fine drilling of workpieces by means of an adjusting tool (18) bearing an adjustable cutting insert (28) and capable of being clamped to a machine shaft (14). According to the invention, before a drilling or a series thereof is made, the diameter of the circle of travel of a radially outer cutting edge (44) of the cutting insert (28) is measured on the clamped adjusting tool with the machine shaft (14) rotating and evaluated within the adjusting tool (18) for adjustment purposes.

  • Patent number: 5201613
Abstract: A single point adjustable triangular carbide cutting insert holder designed to clamp the cutting insert with maximum possibility for regrind or grinding for secondary operations. The insert holder is arranged for use in a milling machine and is collet-mounted by its shank. The jaw clamps can be removed for placement of the cutting insert between them, and are then refitted in the cavity where they are tightened by adjustment of a screw. As the screw is tightened, the jaw clamps are drawn further within the cavity, and are rigidly clamped against the cavity walls by frictional contact. When partially released, the jaws can be rotated within the cavity, enabling direct adjustment of the cutting insert rake and relief angle as desired. The cutting insert is seated between the jaw clamps on a seating cam mounted at an edge of the inner jaw face, such that the exposed portion of the cutting insert is a maximum.
