In this case, the total impedance of the whole parallel resonant circuit becomes infinite (?) and the other two filters can be made open to the pass frequency band of the one filter. With the simple configuration in which the three filters are connected in parallel with each other, an impedance matching is obtained in each of the frequency bands, and excellent signal separation can be performed.

    Abstract: The module comprises an input/output access point at a first end of a waveguide with a square cross section, called a square waveguide, two access points made of waveguides with a rectangular cross section, called rectangular waveguides, placed side by side at a second end of the square waveguide and a septum positioned in the square waveguide at the end of a separation region common to the two rectangular waveguides in order to allow the production of two circular polarizations of opposite handedness each associated with a rectangular waveguide. The module is arranged so as to form a diplexer in which the septum is included and where the access points by rectangular waveguide are extended by filters, each access point being endowed with a filter provided in order to transmit a frequency band which is different. The steps of the septum are dimensioned so as to compensate for reflections.

The interstage filters can be low-pass, high-pass or band-pass filters depending on the particular frequency range of interest. Typical embodiments can have two or three tuners, however, the invention applies to multi-receiver tuners with more than three tuners. The multi-tuner receivers can be used within television, cable set top boxes and other devices that receive multiple video signals.

Each conductor line operates as a half-wave transmission line whose both ends are electrically open. It is not needed to form a ground electrode on a surface of the substrate opposite to the surface on which the conductor lines are formed. Thus, a resonator can be formed using a very small number of constituent elements.

The main channel is formed in the enclosure and terminates at a main port and is in communication with the common channel.
