Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a moisture absorbent hand-covering device that is in the form and shape of a glove for drying. In some embodiments, the drying glove of this invention has a first outer layer and a second inner layer. The outer layer comprises at least one layer of material with propensity to absorb at least one type of liquid. In some embodiments, the second inner layer comprises at least one layer of material with propensity to repel at least one type of liquid. The outer layer absorbs the liquid for the purpose of removing it. The inner layer resists passage of the liquid, and thus protects the hand of the user during operation. In some embodiments, the liquid absorbed is water, and the liquid repelled is water.

  • Patent number: 7882647
Abstract: One type of dryer, namely a laundry dryer (1), comprises a water tank (20) and a drum (30). At the time of drying laundry, the interior of the drum (30) functions as a hermetically closed drying chamber (170). The air in the closed drying chamber (170) is sucked into a circulation duct (171) and heated by means of a heater (173) to a hot air before being blown into the closed drying chamber (170). The hot air having absorbed moisture from the laundry comes into contact with dehumidification water in a cooling chamber (174) within the circulation duct (171), thereby being dehumidified. The dehumidification water is sprayed by a mist generator (180). In the drying process, the mist generator (180) generates mist of metal ion water which has passed through an ion dissolving unit (100) and sprays the mist to the laundry.

Abstract: A dryer control method includes: a first dry step of drying a dry item with strong hot wind while tumbling a drum in which the dry item is placed; and a second dry step of drying the dry item with mild hot wind while tumbling the drum. Because the dry process is repeatedly performed on the dry item according to a proposed dry algorithm, the dry item made of wool fiber can be prevented from being shrunken or creased in the dry process.

Abstract: A drying device has been developed having a single electric motor configured to drive a drum and directly drive an air blower. The single electric motor is a non-line frequency electric motor. The drum is coupled to a support frame to enable rotation of the drum relative the support frame. The drum has an interior space for holding a load of articles, such as clothing. The motor includes a controller configured to increase gradually the angular velocity of the drum to provide a “soft start” for the dryer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hot air generating apparatus and a dryer having the same. The hot air generating apparatus comprises a temperature sensing unit, and a gas supply unit controlling a flowing amount of gas to be supplied according to a temperature of hot air sensed by the temperature sensing unit, wherein when the temperature of the hot air sensed by the temperature sensing unit approaches a pre-set threshold value, the flowing amount of gas to be supplied is gradually reduced, thereby being capable of continuously supplying hot air without being frequently turned on/off.
