  • Patent number: 9930533
Abstract: A human biological characteristic file corresponding to a particular identity is received and used as a base file. A characteristic code to be authenticated is obtained according to a human biological characteristic of a person who requests identity authentication when an identity authentication request corresponding to the particular identity is received. A base characteristic code is collected from a base file. A collecting algorithm applied for collecting the base characteristic code is the same as or matches an algorithm applied for obtaining the characteristic code. The present techniques determine whether the base characteristic code and the characteristic code correspond to a same human biological characteristic. If a result is positive, the identity authentication request is verified.

The trusted server receives identification information associated with the user of the user computing device, wherein the identification information includes a representation of the user's identity that has been confirmed as a function of biometrics and further includes a representation of the user computing device. Moreover, a replacement certificate is generated that is unique to the combination of the user and the user computing device, and transmits the replacement certificate to the user computing device. Thereafter, a two-way secured communication session is established, by the trusted server.

  • Patent number: 9277334
Abstract: A wearable computing device is authenticated using bone conduction. When a user wears the device, a bone conduction speaker and a bone conduction microphone on the device contact the user's head at positions proximate the user's skull. A calibration process is performed by transmitting a signal from the speaker through the skull and receiving a calibration signal at the microphone. An authentication process is subsequently performed by transmitting another signal from the speaker through the skull and an authentication signal is received at the microphone. In the event that frequency response characteristics of the authentication signal match the frequency response characteristics of the calibration signal, the user is authenticated and the device is enabled for user interaction without requiring the user to input any additional data.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for determining an electromagnetic signature for authenticating a device, a user, and/or a location. In exemplary embodiments, a magnetometer captures an electromagnetic signature which is then compared with one or more authorized electromagnetic signatures. If the electromagnetic signature matches an authorized electromagnetic signature, then access is granted. The magnetometer is integrated into a communication device having a processor and a logic. The magnetometer captures an electromagnetic signature of a surrounding environment and detects motion of the communication device through the captured electromagnetic signature. The logic on the communication device locks or unlocks features of the device based upon the captured electromagnetic signature. In further embodiments of the subject disclosure, the magnetometer is in communication with a server which authenticates a user or communication device to provide access to a remote location.
