Abstract: A first RFID tag arrangement for actuating a downhole tool includes a non-metallic housing enclosing a passive RFID tag, power source, pulsed oscillator circuit, and energizer coil. The pulsed oscillator circuit drives the energizer coil to stimulate and activate the tag such that it can be read by an external reader. A second RFID tag arrangement includes a non-metallic housing enclosing a power source, a transmission circuit, and a transmitter coil. The transmission circuit can drive the transmitter coil to transmit a payload stored in the transmission circuit such that the payload is delivered to an external reader. A method of actuating a downhole tool includes placing the tool's RFID tag reader in listen only mode, introducing into the wellbore an active RFID tag that transmits its payload to the reader, and optionally configuring the reader to reprogram the tag when it receives the payload therefrom.

  • Patent number: 10911160
Abstract: A wireless sensor includes a radio frequency (RF) front end, a sensing element, and a processing module. The RF front end receives a request for sensed data from a sensing computing device and sends a coded digital value to the sensing computing device via the RF signal. The sensing element senses an environmental condition of an item. The processing module determines an effect on an operational parameter of an RF front end of the wireless sensor as a result of the sensing element sensing the environmental condition and while receiving the RF signal. The processing module also adjusts tuning of the RF front end to mitigate the effect on the operational parameter and equates an amount of adjusting of the tuning of the RF front end to a coded digital value.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are wireless devices operable at intermediate wireless at ranges of thousands of meters, utilizing packets that include a preamble and a data payload. Devices may be such things as keypads, door latches, occupancy monitors, sprinkler controllers and other devices needing a communications link. A digital spread-spectrum frequency hopping rotation is used, wherein packet transmissions rotate through frequency sequences. Used is a spectrum-impact-smoothed channel sequence, each channel specifying a unique preamble frequency relative to the other sequences and channels. The set is traversed as a broadcasted stream is transmitted, thereby distributing the focused radio-frequency emission impact of packets having long preambles over time. Packet acknowledgments are deferred until a group of packets in a stream has been exchanged.

  • Patent number: 10879737
Abstract: The control device includes a charging-system circuit and a discharging-system circuit. The discharging-system circuit has a discharging-system control circuit, and a power supply circuit that performs power supply to a processing device. The discharging-system control circuit performs a first control that, when the power supply is in an off state, when motion of the power receiving device is detected by a motion sensor, switches the power supply to an on state based on a detection signal from the motion sensor, and a second control that switches the power supply between the on state on the off state based on a control signal. The discharging-system control circuit, in the first control, disables the second control when motion of the power receiving device has been detected by the motion sensor.

Abstract: Systems and methods for activity based recording by a smart camera system are described herein. Activity based recording provides a smart and automated method to enable and disable the camera recording, such that potentially significant events or activities are detected and recorded. A camera located in a physical space detects a triggering event and begins recording video and/or audio for a predetermined time period, resulting in a captured video. The triggering event may be detected by one or more sensors associated with the camera, including but not limited to, a camera sensor, a passive infrared sensor, and a microphone. A metadata file is added to the captured video. Certain video frames are added to the beginning of the captured video, resulting in a finalized video recording.
