Color Memory Patents (Class 345/549)
  • Patent number: 11798227
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided that are used to generate a three-dimensional model in which a more natural texture is set for an occlusion region of which a texture is not obtained from a two-dimensional image. A three-dimensional shape restoring section that generates a three-dimensional model on the basis of a two-dimensional image, and a texture processor that attaches a texture to the three-dimensional model are included. The texture processor acquires, from a DB, an existing texture similar to a texture acquired from the two-dimensional image, calculates a conversion function that is used so that the existing texture has a color closer to the color of the acquired texture, and sets, for a region of which a texture is not acquired from the two-dimensional image, a texture calculated by applying the conversion function to the existing texture.

Abstract: A gaming device includes a poker game where two cards are dealt face-up to at least one player and to a dealer. The gaming device enables the player to place an optional wager based on the initially dealt two card hand. A pay out for the optional wager is determined based on the probability that the final player hand will outrank the final dealer hand. The pay out is inversely proportional to the probability that the player will win. Therefore, if the player has a high probability of winning, the associated pay out will be relatively small. Also, if the player has a low probability of winning, the associated pay out will be relatively large. The gaming device enables the player to place multiple wagers after each of a plurality of community cards are dealt, where the associated pay out changes according to a revised probability of winning.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method that includes a classifier that distinguishes objects based on their color shades. A moving window based operator looks at the color class of the adjacent objects and determines if an adjustment is necessary. If at least one of the objects is the type of interest and the color classes of the objects meet the criteria, then the boundary between the objects is subject to be adjusted. Two adjustment modes are discussed: “adjust-tagging” mode and “adjust-color” mode. In the adjust-tagging mode, a specific tag is sent down to the print engine to force the use of high addressability halftones for the boundary pixels in the darker object. In the adjust-color mode, a color lighter (usually white) than that of the lighter object is assigned to the boundary pixels in the lighter object. The width of the modified pixels along the boundary is configurable.

Abstract: Provided is an image processing device. A first color space converting unit converts image data in an RGB colorimetric system, which has a color gamut wider than a color gamut of a liquid crystal panel into image data in an XYZ colorimetric system. A three-dimensional nonlinear color gamut converting unit performs conversion on tristimulus values of the XYZ signal. At this time, the image data is classified into four colors and converted respectively such that the first color is displayed in a color accurate to the inputted data, the second color is displayed such that saturation of the second color is increased, the third color is displayed using a color gamut of a predetermined range out of the color gamut of the liquid crystal panel, and the fourth color is displayed in a color corresponding to a boundary of the color gamut of the liquid crystal panel.

Abstract: System and methods for gamut bounded saturation adaptive color enhancement are provided. Color enhancement incorporating gamut bounded saturation enhances colors of an pixel from a source color gamut such that the resulting color is within a target color gamut. This resulting color may, for example, take advantage of an expanded target color gamut of a display. Gamut bounded saturation may be implemented independently or in combination with RGB bounded saturation.

Methods generally include setting a caching bit corresponding to the surface, setting tile pattern bits corresponding to tiles in the surface, and when the caching bit is active, storing one or more pixel values in a cache memory. When at least one tile contains pixels having the same value for at least one predetermined parameter, the caching bit and the corresponding tile pattern bits may be active. Apparatuses generally include a pixel memory, a cache memory, and a controller including logic configured to reserve the caching bit, tile pattern bits, and same pixel values in cache memory when the caching bit is active.

Abstract: The device and method described in this application relate generally to graphics processing systems utilizing the tile based rendering technique and more specifically relate to the processing of the framebuffer data in graphics processing applications. The present invention discloses techniques to reduce the bandwidth needed to access the color data stored in the framebuffer. A method for adaptive lossy delta based compression of color data is disclosed. The error rate, that is the amount of color data lost during the lossy compression process, is controlled by various parameters of the rendered tiles produced by the graphics processing system. The compression process is driven by a dedicated unit which enables informed compression decisions with controllable error rate so as the output color data can be reliably decompressed to produce the original color data with minimal or no errors.

Instead of rendering whole pixels, various embodiments provide rendering of each primary color plane separately in the space-time domain, and serializing/sequencing the colors of the the rendered data directly to the bus that is connecting a host (an operator device) and the FSC display. Generally the number of primary colors may be two or more. When displayed on a FSC display, motion quality may be largely improved.

Abstract: The display color of, for example, a button image responsive to a command input into a facility operation display device is controlled by a palette value having a smaller number of bits than an RGB value. When the display color of the button image is changed, the palette value of a drawing object associated with the button image is changed to an RGB value. This eliminates the necessity of incorporating, for example, a high-performance CPU as a central arithmetic unit. In addition, it is not necessary to pre-store images corresponding to several kinds of display colors specified by RGB values, to thereby eliminates the necessity of incorporating, for example, a high-capacity storage medium in the facility operation display device. Accordingly, the device cost can be reduced.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for generating and transmitting video frame data from a graphics processing unit (GPU) to a color field sequential display device. A frame buffer image comprising per-pixel packed color channels is transformed to a frame buffer image comprising regions corresponding to the color channels with vertical blanking regions inserted between color sub-field regions. Each region of the transformed frame buffer image is sequentially transmitted to the color field sequential display device for display of the corresponding color channel. Backlight illumination for each color channel is controlled by the GPU for temporal alignment with display of each color channel during a vertical blanking interval. The GPU may compensate an individual pixel's color channel value based on a corresponding previous color channel value in order to minimize crosstalk between neighboring color fields.
