  • Patent number: 11366567
Abstract: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) comprises a development interface that affords a user a great deal of control over the editing tools, workspace canvases, and project information rendered at a given time. The industrial IDE system automatically filters the tools, panels, and information available for selection based on a current project development task, such that a focused subset of editing tools relevant to a current development task or context are made available for selection while other tools are hidden. The development interface also allows the user to selectively render or hide selected tools or information from among the relevant, filtered set of tools. This can reduce or eliminate unnecessary clutter and aid in quickly and easily locating and selecting a desired editing function. The IDE's development interface can also conform to a structured organization of workspace canvases and panels that facilitates intuitive workflow.

Abstract: Ray tracing systems and computer-implemented methods perform intersection testing on a bundle of rays with respect to a box. A bundle of rays to be tested for intersection with a box is received, and a first bundle intersection test is performed to determine whether or not all of the rays of the bundle intersect the box, wherein if the first bundle intersection test determines that all of the rays of the bundle intersect the box, an intersection testing result for the bundle with respect to the box is that all of the rays of the bundle intersect the box. If the first bundle intersection test does not determine that all of the rays of the bundle intersect the box, a second bundle intersection test is performed, which determines whether or not all of the rays of the bundle miss the box, the result of which is used to determine the intersection testing result for the bundle with respect to the box.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a memory interface unit organizes data within a memory tile to facilitate efficient memory accesses. In an embodiment, a memory tile represents a portion of memory that holds multiple chunks of data, where each chunk is stored either in a non-compressed or in a smaller compressed data format. In an embodiment, the tile is organized to pack multiple compressed chunks together so that multiple compressed chunks can be retrieved from memory with a single read access. In another embodiment, the tile is organized to store redundant copies of compressed chunks so that a compressed chunk can be quickly decompressed within a tile without having to relocate other compressed chunks in the tile. Additional embodiments are further disclosed for allowing efficient accesses to both compressed and non-compressed data.

Abstract: A method for generating a model for facial sculpture based on a generative adversarial network (GAN) includes training a predetermined GAN based on a three dimensional (3D) face dataset of multiple 3D face images to obtain an initial sculpture generation model. A curvature conversion on each of the multiple 3D face images is performed to obtain a distribution map of curvature value and the distribution map of curvature value of each of the multiple 3D face images is added as attention information to the initial sculpture generation model, to train and generate a face sculpture generation model. A target 3D face data and predetermined face curvature parameters are received, and the target 3D face data and the predetermined face curvature parameters are inputted into the face sculpture generation model to generate a face sculpture model. A computing device using the method is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and a method for providing color vision deficiency assistance by selectively recoloring pixels of an image frame including unperceivable colors with perceivable colors in real time. In particular, the present invention provides for rescaling the image frame using a first set of rules. Further, a perceivable color space is selected based on one or more parameters. Furthermore, one or more pixels associated with unperceivable colors are identified using a second set of rules. Yet further, the identified one or more pixels are recolored using the selected perceivable color space and a third set of rules. Finally, a corrected image frame comprising perceivable colors is provided.

Abstract: The configuration buffer may be divided into partitions that may effectively function as multiple linked configuration buffers. The linked partitions may each be associated with a portion of the display pipeline (e.g., an image process block) and may each be responsible for loading configuration entries into the programmable register(s) of a portion of the display pipeline. In this manner, the partitions may load the associated programmable register(s) of the display pipeline substantially simultaneously, reducing the time used to configure the entire display pipeline. Since configuration of the display pipeline may occur during the blanking period, a reduction in display pipeline configuration time may reduce the blanking period and increase the time for driving pixels of the display, thereby improving perceived image quality (e.g., pixel yield of the display panel).
