Abstract: An object feature visualization system is disclosed. The system may include a computing device that generates video-mapped images to project onto physical objects. The video-mapped images may include features to be projected onto the objects. The projection of a video-mapped image onto the physical object allows for the visualization of the feature on the object. In some examples, the computing device receives a feature selection for a particular object, and generates a video-mapped image with the selected feature to provide to a projector to project the video-mapped image onto the physical object. In some examples, a user is able to select one or more features for one or more objects of a room display via a user interface. The system then projects video-mapped images with the selected features onto the physical objects. • Patent number: 11682108
Abstract: This disclosure relates to various implementations that dynamically adjust one or more shallow depth of field (SDOF) parameters based on a designated, artificial aperture value. The implementations obtain a designated, artificial aperture value that modifies an initial aperture value for an image frame. The designated, artificial aperture value generates a determined amount of synthetically-produced blur within the image frame. The implementations determine an aperture adjustment factor based on the designated, artificial aperture value in relation to a default so-called “tuning aperture value” (for which the camera's operations may have been optimized). The implementations may then modify, based on the aperture adjustment factor, one or more SDOF parameters for an SDOF operation, which may, e.g., be configured to render a determined amount of synthetic bokeh within the image frame.

Abstract: A processor performing postprocessing obtains an input image containing both bright and dark regions. The processor obtains a threshold between a first pixel value of the virtual production display and a second pixel value of the virtual production display. The processor modifies the region according to predetermined steps producing a pattern unlikely to occur within the input image, where the pattern corresponds to a difference between the original pixel value and the threshold. The processor can replace the region of the input image with the pattern to obtain a modified image. The virtual production display can present the modified image. A processor performing postprocessing detects the pattern within the modified image displayed on the virtual production display. The processor calculates the original pixel value of the region by reversing the predetermined steps. The processor replaces the pattern in the modified image with the original pixel value.

An image identification section 34 determines two images for use in the generation of left- and right-eye parallax images from a plurality of viewpoint images stored in an image storage device 16 in accordance with the user's gaze direction and the binocular inclination angle. An image generation section 36 generates left- and right-eye parallax images from the two identified images. An image supply section 38 supplies the generated parallax images to the HMD.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for monitoring a video are provided. For example, the video may be rendered within a canvas overlaying a webpage within a web browser. The video may comprise an opaque portion (e.g., a bike) and a transparent portion (e.g., a transparent background such that the bike appears to be driving across the webpage as the video plays). User input associated with the canvas may be evaluated to determine whether the user input occurs over the opaque portion or the transparent portion. Responsive to the user input occurring over the opaque portion, the web browser may be transitioned from the webpage to a biking website linked to by the video. Responsive to the user input occurring over the transparent portion, the canvas may be closed to terminate the video.

Abstract: A system receives digital images of a geographic location, associates each digital image with ground control points in a set of reference stereo images, and associates each digital image to each other digital image via image to image tiepoints. The system updates a geometry of each image via a bundle adjustment, and uses a prioritized stacking order to establish piecewise linear seam lines between each of the images. The system finally builds a prioritized map in a mosaic space specifying the source image pixels that are used in each region of the output mosaic, and forms the mosaic image using the prioritized map.
