  • Patent number: 10148934
Abstract: An image process apparatus includes an image capture device, a filter, a depth estimation unit, and a mixture unit. The image capture device captures an original image including at least one target object and generates a first depth map corresponding to the original image. The filter selects the at least one target object from the original image according to the first depth map and generates a temporary image including the at least one target object. The temporary image has a depth information of the at least one target object. The depth estimation unit generates a second depth map corresponding to an input image according to the input image. The mixture unit blends the temporary image into a predetermined field depth of the input image to generate a blending image including the input image and the at least one target object according to the depth information and the second depth map.

  • Patent number: 10147232
Abstract: A machine-implemented method includes obtaining input data and generating output data. The status of at least one contextual factor is determined and compared with a standard. If the status meets the standard, a transformation is applied to the output data. The output data is then outputted to the viewer. Through design and/or selection of contextual factors, standards, and transformations, output data may be selectively outputted to viewers in a context-suitable fashion, e.g. on a head mounted display the viewer's central vision may be left unobstructed while the viewer walks, drives, etc. An apparatus includes at least one sensor that senses a contextual factor. A processor determines the status of the contextual factor, determines if the status meets a standard, generates output data, and applies a transformation to the output data if the status meets the standard. A display outputs the output data to the viewer.

  • Patent number: 10036941
Abstract: Provided are a bezel body and a vehicular display device that effectively reduces a sense of discomfort provided to a passenger by making reflection on a windshield less visible. Since a reflection portion is formed in a predetermined area on a lower surface of a light guide member at the rear side, the guided external light is easy to reflect upward, whereby light can efficiently be emitted from the light guide member toward a descending wall. Therefore, this configuration can prevent the descending wall from being darkly reflected on a windshield, thereby making the reflection less visible and effectively reducing a sense of discomfort provided to the passenger.

Abstract: A head-up display includes an image light output device for outputting image light, a first optical element, a second optical element, and a third optical element. The first optical element is provided to be inclined with respect to the output surface of the image light output device. The first optical element reflects the image light having a first polarization direction and allowing the image light having second polarization direction to pass through. The second optical element reflects the image light from the first optical element to the first optical element. The third optical element is disposed between the first and the second optical element, and converts the image light having the first polarization direction to the image light having the second polarization direction by allowing the image light to pass through back and forth. The image light passing through the first optical element is projected on a combiner.
