  • Patent number: 11145121
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a software program that displays both a volume as images and segmentation results as surface models in 3D. Multiple 2D slices are extracted from the 3D volume. The 2D slices may be interactively rotated by the user to best follow an oblique structure. The 2D slices can “cut” the surface models from the segmentation so that only half of the models are displayed. The border curves resulting from the cuts are displayed in the 2D slices. The user may click a point on the surface model to designate a landmark point. The corresponding location of the point is highlighted in the 2D slices. A 2D slice can be reoriented such that the line lies in the slice. The user can then further evaluate or refine the landmark points based on both surface and image information.

Abstract: Apparatus for obtaining polarized imagery using a portable device, comprising a light source, a first polarizing filter configured to cover the light source, a second polarizing filter configured to cover the lens of a mobile device's built-in camera, one or more housing to contain the light source and filters, and couplers attached to the housings for coupling the housings to the mobile device. When the housing is coupled to the mobile device and the camera is operated, light from the light source passes through the first polarizing filter, then passes as polarized light through an illuminating path to illuminate an object being imaged. Then light from the illuminated object passes through an optical path, through the second polarizing filter to the camera lens. In embodiments, the axis of polarization of at least one of the polarizing filters can be modified to allow for cross, parallel and variable polarized imaging.

Abstract: Disclosed techniques relate to identifying subjects in digital images. In some embodiments, intake digital images (404) are acquired (1002) that capture a first subject. A subset of the intake digital images is selected (1004) that depict multiple different views of the first subject's face. Based on the selected subset of intake digital images, first subject reference templates are generated and stored in a subject database (412). Later, a second subject is selected (1008) for identification within an area. Associated second subject reference templates are retrieved (1010) from the subject reference database. Digital image(s) (420) that depict the area are acquired (1012). Portion(s) of the digital image(s) that depict faces of subject(s) in the area are detected (1014) as detected face image(s). A given detected face image is compared (1016) to the second subject reference templates to identify the second subject (1018) in the digital image(s) that capture the area.

  • Patent number: 10986999
Abstract: In one embodiment, an imaging system illuminates a surface of tissue with one or more spots of near-infrared (NIR) light within a field of view of a camera of the imaging system. The imaging system captures an image of the one or more spots of NIR light within the field of view of the camera of the imaging system. The imaging system calculates, for each of the one or more spots of NIR light in the captured image, a spot diameter, spot position, or spot shape in the captured image. The imaging system determines a distance between the imaging system and the surface of tissue, based on the calculated spot diameter, spot position, or spot shape of the one or more spots of NIR light in the captured image. The imaging system provides data indicative of the determined distance between the imaging system and the surface of tissue to an electronic display.

  • Patent number: 10922834
Abstract: A method for determining volume of an object includes: obtaining a target depth image containing a target object which is captured by a depth image capturing device (S101); performing segmentation based on depth data in the target depth image to obtain a target image region corresponding to the target object (S102); determining a target circumscribed rectangle that corresponds to the target image region and meets a predetermined condition (S103); determining volume of the target object based on the target circumscribed rectangle and the depth data of the target depth image (S104). Compared to the laser-based determination method in the prior art, this method employs a depth image capturing device without a laser measurement device, and thus the economic cost is lower. Further, compared to the manual scale-based determination method in the prior art, the method employs a software program to automatically determine volume without manual cooperation, and has a higher accuracy and efficiency.
