A method of manufacturing the diffusion plate and a backlight module are also provided. The groove of the diffusion plate provided by embodiments of the disclosure combines with the microstructure on the surfaces of the light guide plate to form a stable structure together so that the relative movement between them is reduced, and the white spot problem caused by the microstructures being scratched is also reduced.
