Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for placing a contact print slide (134) in a photographic printer (10) having a platen (54) for supporting a photographic paper (32) during exposure of an image (88, 90) onto the paper at a paper print gate (36) at the platen.
Abstract: A method is providing for making a multi-level reticle which transmits a plurality of incident light intensities, which in turn, are used to form a plurality of thicknesses in a photoresist profile. A partially transmitting film, used as one of the layers of the reticle, is able to provide an intermediate intensity light. The intermediate intensity light has an intensity approximately midway between the intensity of the unattenuated light passing through the reticle substrate layer, and the totally attenuated light blocked by an opaque layer of the reticle. The exposed photoresist receives light at two intensities to form a via hole in the resist in response to the higher intensity light, and a connecting line to the via at an intermediate level of the photoresist in response to the intermediate light intensity. A method for forming the multi-level resist profile from the multi-level reticle is provided as well as a multi-level reticle apparatus.

Abstract: An improvement is proposed for a frame-supported pellicle for dustproof protection of a photomask, which consists of a rigid frame and a transparent plastic membrane adhesively bonded to one end surface of the frame in a slack-free fashion, used in the photolithographic patterning work for the manufacture of fine electronic parts and devices. The improvement is obtained by coating the whole surface of the pellicle frame with a coating composition by the method of electrodeposition so as to completely solve the heretofore unavoidable problem by the dust particle deposition on the pellicle membrane during transportation and handling.
Abstract: A system for reducing the generation of particulate in the use of an optical pellicle is disclosed. The system is designed for use with a pellicle having a pellicle membrane with an underside and an upper side, and a pellicle frame having inner, outer, top and bottom sides. The underside of the pellicle membrane is tensed over and bonded to the top of the pellicle frame. A first adhesive layer coating is applied to the inner side of the pellicle frame and extends continuously over the top of the pellicle frame. This reduces the likelihood of a generation of particulate as a result of improper formation of the adhesive layer, or as a result of degradation of the adhesive layer over time. It is normal that this first adhesive layer cover substantially all of the inner and outer surfaces of the pellicle frame. In one embodiment of the present invention, the first adhesive layer also extends continuously across the underside of the pellicle membrane.
Abstract: A packaged optical pellicle is provided which includes a pellicle made up of a pellicle membrane and a pellicle frame, and a pellicle package. The protective cover includes opposing portions which extend outwardly beyond the outer periphery of the pellicle frame. The pellicle package includes a base and a top, with the base having a centrally disposed recessed portion and a peripheral portion for supporting the opposing portions of the protective cover. The top of the pellicle package is adapted to fit onto the base, the top having engagement surfaces for engaging the opposing portions of the protective cover and biasing those portions onto the shoulder of the base.
Abstract: A dust-proof film comprising a pellicle frame and a pellicle film spread on one side face of the frame, which is attached to a photomask, a reticle or the like to prevent a foreign substance from adhering to a pattern, wherein a paint is coated on the inner side face of the pellicle frame to form a coating layer, whereby a generation of dust from a surface of the pellicle frame is prevented.

The glass member is connected to the frame member by establishing a vacuum in the connecting space for pulling the adhesive in the connecting space. The adhesive in connecting space is cured for connecting the glass member to the frame member via the cured adhesive.
