From the tables, a graph may be created with nodes of the graph representing an internet protocol (IP) address and a port associated with the CIs, and edges of the graph representing the connections and/or communication between the CIs. The graph may be traversed according to outbound edges starting from a node with zero or few outbound edges. The nodes that are unreachable, or untraversed, may be flagged as suitable entry point candidates. In some embodiments, the flagged suitable entry point candidates may be reconciled with already known entry points included in the one or more tables.

In another implementation, the Ethernet device does not have a local clock, and the master clock is transmitted from the second port of the Ethernet device to the downstream device without any synchronizing operation at the Ethernet device.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for inter-domain segment routing using transport endpoint segments. A transport endpoint segment provisioned on a router within a domain represents any intra-domain tunnel originated at the router and having reachability to an indicated endpoint within the same domain. The provisioning router advertises a transport endpoint segment identifier (TESID) for the transport endpoint segment to other routers or a controller for use in segment routing. The TESID for the transport endpoint segment remains constant regardless of which intra-domain tunnel is bound to the transport endpoint segment. The provisioning router dynamically binds the transport endpoint segment to at least one intra-domain tunnel, and any changes to the bound intra-domain tunnel are updated locally at the provisioning router. In this way, an inter-domain segment routing tunnel may be constructed as a list TESIDs that are not affected by intra-domain tunnel changes.

During operation, the system may determine a set of interfaces associated with a network device among a plurality of network devices coupled via inter-switch links. The system can determine a set of layer-3 MTU values corresponding to the set of network interfaces and can determine a highest layer-3 MTU value based on the set of determined layer-3 MTU values. The system can synchronize, via the inter-switch links, the highest layer-3 MTU value, resulting in a set of highest layer-3 MTU values at the network device. The system can determine, based on the set of highest layer-3 MTU values, a global highest layer-3 MTU value. The system can derive a layer-2 MTU value based on the global highest layer-3 MTU value and can configure a respective inter-switch link with the layer-2 MTU value.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed to enhance the efficiency of available bandwidth between UEs and base stations. A UE transmits a sounding reference signal (SRS) to the base station. The base station characterizes the uplink channel based on the SRS received and, using reciprocity, applies the channel characterization for the downlink channel. As part of applying the channel information, the base station forms the beam to the UE based on the uplink channel information obtained from the SRS. The UE may include an array of antennas, each UE transmitting a different SRS that the base station receives and uses to characterize the downlink. Multiple UEs (or a single UE with multiple antennas) transmit SRS at the same time and frequency allocation (non-orthogonal), but with each sending its own unique SRS. Further, multiple UEs (or a single UE with multiple antennas) may send their SRS at unique time/frequency allocations (orthogonal).
