Abstract: Described herein are one or more self-organizing network (SON) tools configured to receive indicia that an event affecting usage of telecommunication service will occur at a specific location and at a specific time. Based at least in part on information about the event, the one or more SON tools determine one or more configuration changes to apply to telecommunication infrastructure. The one or more SON tools then apply the one or more configuration changes to the telecommunication infrastructure at the specific location and at the specific time.

  • Patent number: 10469114
Abstract: A system of mobile devices that reduces the transmission strength of outgoing signals originating from a handheld device, and sends such signals to a second device, situated near or on a lower-body location, where the signals may be amplified to the current permitted maximum transmission strength vis-a-vis the brain (SAR), or above that level to the greater maximum strength permitted in the areas of, e.g., the feet and ankles, where the signal is then sent outward. The devices divert radio frequency (RF) radiation exposure downward toward the lower extremities. The intelligence and power of the devices may be split between two or more devices, resulting in longer use time, deeper and more complex computing capability, and fewer disruptions due to power. In addition, a benefit in one or more embodiments is better, more reliable reception, due to the use of two or more coordinated receiving antennas.

Abstract: The present invention circumvents the standard SPF lookup limit by allowing an administrator to create a secondary SPF record that includes all the desired SPF records even if it exceeds the 10 recursive lookups that would result in a standard failure. The administrator would then then create or modify their main SPF record to include an entry that points to the SPF Proxy that is the subject of this invention.

  • Patent number: 10447810
Abstract: A computing device is described that receives, at a first particular time, first notification data. Responsive to receiving the first notification data, the computing device outputs, at a first intensity level, a first alert associated with the first notification data. The computing device receives, at a second particular time after the first particular time, second notification data. Responsive to the computing device receiving an indication of user interaction with the computing device between the first particular time and the second particular time, the computing device outputs, at the first intensity level, a second alert associated with the second notification data. Conversely, responsive to the computing device not receiving the indication of user interaction with the computing device, the computing device either outputs, at a second intensity level that is less than the first intensity level, the second alert, or refrains from outputting the second alert entirely.

  • Patent number: 10440640
Abstract: Monitoring client traffic at frequencies suitable to infer playback information of applications executing at the client device is described herein. By way of example, network traffic transmitted to a client application can be analyzed to determine an amount of traffic consumed by the client. Based on the amount of traffic and optionally network conditions observed by the client, a suitable resource level can be determined for conveying the traffic to the client. Adjustments to allocated resources can be made, where requested, to improve consumption rates of allocated resources. The resource level can be determined at a frequency suitable to identify changes in playback state of the client application, to provide changes in allocated resource that closely respond to changes in traffic demand.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for using frames having beamforming training fields with base complementary code sequences that have a longer length than complementary code sequences used in other fields of the frame. The longer length may help perform channel estimation when encountering longer delay spread, for example, due to multipath effects of multiple beams during a beamforming training procedure. The longer length may be based on a lengthening factor which may be signaled, for example, using on or more bits of a preamble portion of the frames.
