  • Patent number: 10147417
Abstract: A speech recognizer performs speech recognition on a spoken name supplied by a user, producing a list of possible matches and corresponding confidence scores, by comparing a packetized voice stream of a spoken name to a plurality of stored phonemes that represent users' text names. If the top scoring match for a spoken name does not correctly identify the spoken name or if the spoken name's confidence score is below a first threshold, the user name is flagged to the system administrator as having a potential speech recognition problem. The results of the speech recognition are used to suggest names whose spelling may need to be adjusted to resolve the speech recognition problem. During production, a low threshold for rejecting speech recognition results can be adjusted downwards for names that produced low scores during testing. Heuristics are presented for re-testing only a subset of names when the set of names is changed.

As described above, the map of the home may be realistically generated by utilizing a map generated by the cleaning robot and inconvenience experienced by a user to manually register electric devices located in each room of the home may be solved by automatically registering the electric devices.

Abstract: A request is received to access protected data from a data access requesting party. Authentication text to be read aloud is then generated and transferred to a first computing system associated with the data access requesting party. The authentication text is then displayed on the first computing system. The access requesting party is then requested to read the authentication text aloud and first audio data is obtained from a first audio detection capability associated with the first computing system and second audio data is obtained from a second audio detection capability associated with a second computing system associated with a data access requesting party. The authentication text is then compared to the first audio data and the second audio data and, if the data matches, the data requesting party is provided access to the protected data.

  • Patent number: 8995626
Abstract: Described is a technology by which a storage at a telephone device (e.g., a client telephone) is synchronized with information corresponding to actions performed at a computing device (e.g., a server) on behalf of the client. For example, the server may employ speech recognition to recognize a name or number spoken into the client telephone, and in response, dial out a corresponding telephone number for the client telephone. This action is synchronized back to the client storage so that the client's call history includes knowledge of the server's dialing action. Thereafter, an action at the telephone device that accesses the call history (e.g., for redialing or scrolling) obtains the full call history, independent of whether the telephone device or computing device performed the action. Changes made via telephone device may be similarly synchronized to the computing device, such as directly dialed calls, user-input speed dial information, and so forth.
