  • Patent number: 10255923
Abstract: Methods and systems for transforming a text-independent enrolment of a customer in a self-service system into a text-dependent enrolment are provided. A request for authentication of a customer that is enrolled in the self-service system with a text-independent voice print is received. A request is transmitted to the customer to repeat a passphrase and the customer's response is received as an audio stream of the passphrase. The customer is authenticated by comparing the audio stream of the passphrase against the text-independent voice print and if the customer is authenticated then a text-dependent voice print is created based on the passphrase, otherwise discard the audio stream of the passphrase.

  • Patent number: 9449441
Abstract: A method of identifying and tracking victims of a casualty event includes separating a two-part tag into a tag portion and a container portion, each portion including corresponding indicia in human-readable and/or machine-readable form. The tag portion is attached to an individual victim, and the container portion is used to collect a tissue sample from the victim for later analysis and positive identification. A handheld computer may be used to record the tag portion's indicia, and a GPS or other geolocating system allows the computer to also record the present geographical location of the victim. If the victim is later moved, the tag indicia is again scanned and the new location recorded. Once the victim is positively identified, the victim data file is updated and next-of-kin or other interested parties are notified of the current victim location for final disposition of the victim.

Abstract: An image interpolation method and an image interpolation device and an image apparatus using the image interpolation method are provided. The image interpolation method uses a probabilistic neural network model to perform an adaptive interpolation on an image. The image interpolation method includes the following steps. Firstly, plural reference points neighboring an interpolation point are selected. Then, an anisotropic Gaussian function value of each reference point of the plural reference points is obtained according to an edge direction angle, a horizontal smoothing parameter, a vertical smoothing parameter and a distance between each reference point and the interpolation point. Afterwards, a statistics method is performed to integrate and compute the anisotropic Gaussian function values of the plural reference points, thereby obtaining an interpolation value of the interpolation point.
