Abstract: A bearing device for rotatably supporting the end of a rotational shaft through a slide bearing to a base comprising a through opening perforated at a part of the base for press-fitting the slide bearing, and a retainer containing opening formed at the base to substantially perpendicularly cross the through opening, and a retainer disposed in the retainer containing opening of the base for bearing the axial force of the rotational shaft, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost and improving its accuracy.
Abstract: A magnet coupling, in which a ceramic isolating plate 5 is provided between a driven magnet 4 and a drive-side magnet 3 and ceramic bearing members 13, 14 are placed between the respective sides of the isolating plate 5 and the driven magnet 4 and the drive-side magnet 3, whereby the gap between the drive-side and load-side is minimized.
Abstract: In the case of a step bearing for an essentially horizontally arranged shaft of an open-end spinning rotor that supports itself against a freely rotatable ball, a housing is provided that contains a lubricant supply means by means of which the ball is supplied with lubricating grease.
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a bearing for highprecision transport spindles used in machines for electrical reproduction technology, machine tools, measuring installations and the like, wherein axial movement due to bearing tolerances are eliminated by the bearing device of this invention. The radial and axial bearing of the spindle are decoupled from one another by means of the bearing device, thereby eliminating the axial dislocation errors.
Abstract: An improved open throat power tong assembly is provided of the type useful for making up and breaking apart threaded pipe joints. The power tong assembly includes a cage plate assembly with a plurality of pipe gripping heads and a partial ring having a plurality of internal cam surfaces. The heads are forced into gripping engagement with the pipe by relative rotational movement between the cam surfaces and the heads mounted in the cage plate assembly. The cage plate assembly may be both supported by and rotationally guided by a plurality of ball bearing assemblies mounted to the cage plate assembly. The bearing balls are biased into engagement with an arc-shaped groove provided in the upper and lower surfaces of the partial ring. During operation of the tong, the ball bearing assemblies ride in the deepest depression track of the groove, but may purposefully ride up the groove sidewall during the final make-up and initial break-out operation.
