  • Patent number: 10054156
Abstract: A large thrust ball bearing, retainer, and raceways, using a surface treatment such as hard anodize, lowers the friction and wear. The retainer, molded in synthetic resin with self-lubricated material reinforced with carbon fiber such as MoS2, and PTPE, eliminates the thermal viscosity. Multi-segment retainers, each with an inner race-guided configuration, an alternative ball pocket cross-section design with a slotted configuration, reduce the thermal effects, improve the producibility of the retainer, and reduce the manufacturing cost. The pocket design with an oval cross-section instead of a circular cross-section also reduces the localized thermal-induced effect which would otherwise result in a pinching condition between the ball and the retainer. The alternative slotted retainer pocket design increases the compliance between ball/pocket interfaces, which helps to reduce the dynamic effects.

A rolling bearing (1) is constructed of an inner ring (2) having a rolling surface on its peripheral surface, an outer ring (3) having a rolling surface on its inner peripheral surface, a plurality of rolling elements (4) disposed between both rolling surfaces, and a cage (5) retaining the rolling elements (4). The inner ring (2), the outer ring (3), the rolling elements (4) or the cage (5) is a metal-made bearing member. Film-coating treatment is conducted on a sliding surface or a rolling surface of at least one of these metal-made bearing members with the plant-derived polyvalent alcohol compounds such as curcumin, quercetin, chlorogenic acid or the like.

Abstract: A chair elbow capable of rotating with double shaft is disclosed. Two bearings are disposed on a mount board fixed on a chair. Each of the bearings connects one end of each of two rotating plates, while the other ends thereof are pivotally connected in a linear slot of a seat plate used for securing an armrest. The length of the slot is longer than the distance between the two bearings, and the latter is longer than the length of the rotating plates. Thus, the armrest on the seat plate can rotate against the mount board with 360 degrees and move forward and backward.

Abstract: A bump stop device comprises a bearing 20 provided with two bottom 22 and top 24 metal washers between which rolling bodies 26 are arranged. A friction ring 34 is fixed to the first of the bottom and top metal washers and rubs against the other metal washer in order to create a static frictional torque that is greater than that of the rolling bodies and, in practice, greater than 1 Nm. The friction ring 34 makes it possible to generate a controlled resisting torque that limits the transmission to the steering column of the torque generated when driving the vehicle on a convex road.

Abstract: A head for a peristaltic pump that may be used for delivering ink to a flexographic printing press includes a housing and a roller assembly. The housing is adapted to receive a flexible tube. The housing has a curved wall and a clamp. The clamp secures the flexible tube within the housing. The roller assembly is rotatable within the housing. The roller assembly includes at least two compression rollers and at least one guide roller. The guide rollers are peripherally spaced between the compression rollers where each of them comes into contact with the flexible tube during rotation of the roller assembly. The guide rollers guide the flexible tube to stay centered with the compression rollers and initiate decompression of the flexible tube to return to a partial compression dimension. Fluid is moved through the flexible tube by rotation of the roller assembly.

Abstract: A hub installed to a bicycle is disclosed. The normal force of each rolling ball set and the spindle has an inclined angle so that the bearing can suffer from a greater axial force so as to increase the lifetime of the hub. The sizes of the rolling balls are enlarged and the number of the rolling balls used is increased. The annular rib is integrally formed with the hub so as to increase the concentricity between the hub body and the ratchet wheel. The swing range of the hub is decreased and thus it is smooth. The first resisting portion, second resisting portion, seven resisting portion and eight resisting portion are matched to cambered recesses of the first rolling ball set, second rolling ball set, third rolling ball set, and fourth rolling ball set so that the resisting areas between the rolling balls and the resisting portions are increased.
